The prince desert Camp is an exclusive camp experince at the golden sanddunes of sam lakhmana dunes.Every time you step onto the endless expanse of sun-kissed, gilded sands of Jaisalmer in Rajasthan, your sense are ensconced in the calming tranquility and stillness of the place. The camp promises a truly unparalleled experience of the desert in itselement. It is a toast to the erstwhile Maharajas and you are treated to one with a panache that leves you overwhelmed. Just as the royalty camped it Tents(khemas) away from the palaces, the resort spins a similar ambience with its modern Swiss cottage tents right in the midst of the desert. Just as the royalty traversed stretches of desert on camels, the evenings see you astride colorfully caparisoned camels led by ethnically dressed butlers as you begin your sojourn of miles of shimmering sand dunes ito the sunset. Lounging on the dunes, one can only gaze in breathless wonderment as the sun begins to go down and casts an ember halo over the desert h orizon

Price Desert Camp with its warm hospitality and prime walking distance Sam dunes is an exclusive oasis in Thar Desert. Mr. Kamal, Manager and Sandeep at front desk are as prompt as ever to take care of any issues, which doesn’t arise as everything is so well organised. Everything about this property is good and would recommend it to everyone to experience the stay at the Desert Camp rather than move back to city in the evening after the cultural program and dinner. The morning sunrise is simply fantabulous..,.

I went there with my partner, it was one of our best experiences in India. Fyi, they can arrange a driver for taking you from the airport to the desert + Desert to your next accommodation. Very quiet and clean. We loved the traditional dance with the bonefire, the folk music, the snacks and the chai was delicious ! And for diner, we were the only europeans and were pleasantly surprised, how considerate they were. The chef made us a whole menu just for us, with Unlimited serving. Grateful for the generosity and the food was the best we had in India ! Breakfast very good and amazing staff. The only downside for us was the camel ride. In my package, I booked the camel ride for the sunset. As soon as we had to leave our camels, someone asked us money to do jeep or quad bike when I said many times that we wanted ONLY camel ride. The camel ride was only 10 min and then we were waiting at the sunset spot for 2h. I think they take us there early to make us spend more on other activities to kill time. In these two hours, a lot of Indians came to us to ask / take pictures. Instead of being a relaxing, romantic and intimate experience, this bit was quite stressful and annoying.

Room Tip: The camel ride is not worth it, it needs to be or longer or at the time of the sunset. Not two...

The place is awesome, the staff is really really helpful with everything, the food was great along with the music and dance activities done in the camp. I really liked the camel safari, this camp is truly next to the dunes and actually makes you feel that you are in thar, the tents had all the required facilities needed for a pleasant stay. All the best to them.

The biggest plus point is its location. Far from road and other camps and just near to the sand dunes. Booked directly by talking to the owners. Reaching there, check-in everything was smooth. Royal AC luxury tents were spacious and clean. The safaris, the evening programme, snacks, dinner and breakfast everything was satisfactory. Only bad experience was due to fellow tourists staying in the adjacent tent who kept making noise till midnight and had to be forcibly told to keep quiet with the help of camp staff. These type of tourist are a nuisance everywhere. Only advice is that the camp management should put some display boards at few places, instructing the guests not to make noise at late hours and not disturb the fellow guests. Overall highly recommended from my side.

Kamal Singh the manager treats the guests as family. He will msg or call atleast 3/4 times a day to ask if we need anything. He’s trained his staff mainly Ramesh, Punam Singh to personally serve breakfast, dinner and meals. The tents are clean and food is nice. The evening campfire is entertaining. They bring firewood to keep you warm at ampitheater. Kamal Singh is the heart n soul of this tent

Have been here twice - previously in Dec 2015 and now in Jan 2024. The camp is like it was then - around 9 years back. Nothing has changed, except that the Sam dunes have become smaller and the sorroundings in Sam around the camps littered with waste. Went back to this place because the 2015 experience of this place was memorable - it had a rustic charm and daredevilry was in the air. With the smaller dunes and the littered waste around the now many similar camps, it felt like we - the tourists -and the indifferent camp owners were not really great news for these dunes. Prince desert camp itself was extremely cold at night and a heater was sorely missed. With such cold icy winds outside, a room heater in every room was a necessity but sadly it was not there which made the night spent unforgettable for the wrong reasons. Next morning when the camp owners said we should have asked for one, it sounded a bit odd and uncaring on their part to have not given one in the first place. The food at the camp continues to be below par, but last time we had taken it in our stride and given the grace marks because it felt tough to run that kind of a camp at that place and run it so well. The novelty gone, this time the expectation was more which ended up being unmet.

We stayed here for a night during our Rajasthan holiday in Dec '23. The staff were very warm and courteous. They had provided a camel safari to a nearby spot to watch the sunset. A Rajasthani folk music and dance program was arranged in the evening. The bonfire though could have been slightly bigger given the December winter. The tents, though, were below ordinary. The tents, carpets and bed linen were not clean. Bathroom was barely functional. The tents should have been provided heaters as the desert breeze gets pretty chilly in the night.
