It was an once in a lifetime experience staying here in Jaisalmer desert, specially Sultan resort. I've stayed in a Swiss camp tent. Washrooms were really good and there was a working geaser, which is very important in the morning. They also provided morning tea before the mesmerizing sunrise. 🐪 Camel Safari was commentary with booking. It was during sunset for about 2 hrs. Though Camel ride was for 30 minutes only. But it was great.
Strongest point of this resort is it's warm hearted staffs. They're are amazing specially the manager: Butaram, he's the BEST. I have never seen a resort manager this helpful! 🙏
If you want to stay at Jaisalmer desert without worrying of brokers just book here online from any online portal.

I had a great stay at Sultan Resorts. Their management is very cooperative and their food was really scrumptious. Their cultural show in the evening was so vibrant and interesting to watch. You'll get the perfect feel of staying in a desert with the camps built in the desert. Even though we arrived way past the check-in time, they kept their kitchen open for us to serve dinner. They didn't even add extra charges when we asked whether our driver could dine with us. Their rates were affordable and their desert camel ride was a wonderful experience. The staff was warm and welcoming and the rooms were clean with ambient atmosphere. The washrooms were also very good. Even though the temperature at night dropped to 3°C, their bedding kept us warm enough. All in all it was a great desert camping experience and I would totally recommend it.

This was a very good resort and worth a stay. We were family of 5 with 2 senior citizens and 6 year old child and stayed in tents which had side concrete walls and was very good. It had a small sit out area and was very good.
The jeep safari arranged by the resort was fantastic. Never miss the safari in the desert. The camel safari was also good, he also took us to a dune which was very good without any people on it at additional cost:).
The traditional program in the evening with unlimited snacks and tea/coffee was very good.
The buffet dinner arranged in evening was also very good. The boys and service at the resort was also very good.
The only issue was with the Breakfast. It was not at all good. The poha was dry and aloo paratha was not good either. The day we stayed in the resort had a big group of south Indian people. They could have arranged a south Indian item in the Breakfast.

Cleanliness and Rooms: 3/5 [The property has sand in the open area so a lot of it gets carried into the rooms with your shoes and by the wind. However, it would have helped if the doormats were of good quality and cleaned frequently. Rest of the cleanliness is better than the motels but definetely not a 3/4star levels]. Bathrooms were also clean. Rooms do look a bit rundown though, but I understand from other traverlers that almost all the properties are in a similar state.
Food: 4/5. It was reasonable and tasty. No complaints here. Don't expect gormeut food and the fare is simple. Again don't expect opalware cutlery but they were clean enough.
Camel Safari: The scope included in package is about 5-10 mins one way ride to the sunset point and reverse pickup by Jeep. We further extended it by paying Rs. 400 per camel (2 people) which gave us additional 30-40 mins ride. This was very good
Evening Entertainment: 5/5. It was nice and some tasty pakoras were also served. It lasted for about an hour+.
Location: 5/5. It's midway between Kanoi and Sam dunes and there are many more similar properties located nearby.
Service: 6/5. They really go over and beyond. We asked for non spicy dal for daughter and they gave it to us. Our initial room was a bit dirty and when we pointed out, they quickly changed us. The behavious was as if you only need to ask and they will cater to your needs.

Overall, I am very much satisfied and the rating should be 3.5+ but a notch below 4. Okay to stay again if you are getting it at a reasonable price

We stayed in this resort as a part of our road trip done across India, Nepal Bhutan over 57 days. Please check roadsndreams.com for more details.

This is a very good property for a reasonable price. This was our first desert stay and we really loved it. The location shown on google maps was wrong and that made it a bit difficult for us to find the hotel. The hotel guys were really helpful and courteous. Camel safari in the sand dunes was a part of the package and it was good. They also provide night jeep safari on request for an extra price. In the night, the resort was overcrowded and the dining area was a mess. However, the staff did all they could to keep things in control. It was really hot inside the tented accommodation which made it difficult to sleep. Only after midnight, the tents became cooler.

Booked 2 Signature AC Suites & paid proper booking amount as requested by their Sales Team Manager Ms. Priyanka G.
Booking Confirmation sent on our mail.
On CheckIn date when we reached there, Reception staff said, we have only 3 Signature AC Suites and that has been sold out. Hence they denied the reservation.

When we talked to Ms. Priyanka, she took a con call with the director Mr. Anil & when i explained him the situation, he started talking rubbish & talked in very worse manner (Call recordings can be shared, if required).

I asked for a refund, then Ms. Priyanka statement was "Send us in writing that we (customer) cancelled the reservation not the hotel.

Shameless People they are. Same kind of situation we noticed with 1 another family as well at that time itself and they were also shouting for same reasons over there.

These people dont care about the pain customer get, as they travelled for long hours and then there is no place for a rest even after proper reservation.

Verdict : Never Ever book this property by these fake persons.

I stayed here with my family for a night as we want to enjoy the experience of a place where we can enjoy Desert Life and another purpose was we had a Desert Safari .

So we enjoyed our Desert Jeep Safari(which we managed ourselves
) as it was 10 min away from the Resort and Camel Safari which was complimentary from Sultan Resort. And my first ever experience of staying at the resort which is surrounded by Sand Dunes was awesome as not only I enjoyed the Camel ride but also the traditional Rajasthani food and Folk Dance managed by our Resort.

If you want a completely different experience of Sand Dunes then it's the perfect place to stay

It was an amazing stay with Sultan Resorts Jaisalmer near the sand dunes. The experience was outstanding considering the location/ property and the activities covered during the stay in the package. They provided camel safari and jeep safari, though later is to be paid additionally however its worth it. The staff are very supportive and warm hearted. My special thanks to Maula Baksh, Kamaal and Hanif for their hospitality. The evening cultural program is an eye catcher and the food is pure vegetarian. I will strongly recommend stay here. Place is safe and people visit in groups , friends and family.

Thanks
Gaurav

Booked with an intention of Camping a Night in a Tent in Desert... But instead stayed in a brick walled room with a Tent roof.

To their credit room was clean

But Electricals in the room were semi working and Taps and fixtures in bathroom were not adequately working

Service was Ok

Food was Ok at best

Breakfast was not up to standard as food served was cold....... Except Aloo Paratha

Personally the property needs timely maintainance as lot of Electricals were loose or not in working order

Room service facilty in my room was unavailable as the Telephone did not work

I had stayed with my family for a day.
This is definitely not 4 star property, it can be considered 3 star.
Rooms were not hygiene.
welcome drink was worst.
Camel ride was short, camel guy asked for money to extend the ride, this is their trick.
They asked to Jeep Safari, but I just drop to the location and back from the location to the hotel, I don't recommend their Jeep Safari.
Snacks served was worst and breakfast was okies.
Dinner was good.
View is very good.
Cultural program conducted by them was okies, but not enjoyed much.
Guy at the reception was very good and helpful, if you have any concern he help instantly.
They should improve the rooms, and snacks, breakfast

Here at Sultan resorts, yes ofcourse you will have an extra blanket, but you never feel it cold, even in winter, as it is a desert area, and yes you will have dinner as well as snacks with rajasthani cultural programme, and in the morning you will have, breakfast with High tea, and camel safari is complimentary, where as jeep Safari cost you for 1500 at Sultan resorts, if you go outside then it will be, 3500 for jeep + camel safari along with sunset view. But at Sultan it is 1500 - 2000 per jeep your voice of bargain gives you more discount. Definitely you will enjoy at Sultan resorts.

How to reach from Jaisalmer Railway station to Sultan resort
Answer from shiv prakash singh
10 contributions2 helpful votes
I booked a taxi. Their checkin time is 3.0 p.m. and sand dune visit starts from about 5.0 p.m. followed by a cultural prgramme of about 2 hours and dinner thereafter. You may leave in the morning after breakfast. So it is better to book a taxi for overnight stay.
