It was not awesome, but good stay. Reason for this review is owner Mr. Purohit. He is friendly and helpful. Called him directly to know if he accepts goibibo or not finally I have him token amout for 2 rooms. It was around 11pm reaching Jaisalmer, he was asking about my status multiple times and gave suggestions about route which I like very much. Coming to room, they are ok, built with yellow stones and rajastani style. Washrooms are ok ok, no ventilator fan. No water heater(Hot water in the morning at 8am) No TV No complementary breakfast (he agreed to serve us kachodi and poha after we booked room for an extra night.) He helped booked Desert camp (Welcome Desert Camp) for us, which was a nice experience for us. Having said about amenities, we only used room to keep luggage and to sleep. So it looked fine, after all my main priority was jaisalmer not room. If you are expecting fancy ambiance and memorable stays then you don't appreciate it. Btw we parked car in the same lane on road infront of one of his hotel. Don't worry it's kind of dead end so no traffic, I felt safe there. Its semj residential. Transport. Fort is a kilometre away, it's visible from rooftop, we walked through local market full of shops.…
My husband and I spent four nights at this family’s hotel. It was a great experience. Lucky, Rosada, and their father, Sonny, were so helpful to us. They helped us get information about the city, offered help with any transportation needs and let us know if there was anything that we needed, we could come to them. The hotel offers a Renuka Camel Safari tour which was an excellent experience. If you’re looking for an adventure, I would highly recommend it!
My wife and I stayed here 3 days and loved it. The Renuka’s made us feel right at home. “Lucky” took great care of us, providing advice on local prices and places to visit. The room was very comfortable. We would absolutely stay here again!
Nothing was too much to ask for here, the staff were really fantastic and gave us so much help and advice when needed. Lucky picked us up from the bus stop about an hour later than we expected to arrive. After a long bus trip this was so welcome! At the end of our visit we were really struggling to book our flight out because we had no Indian number or credit card. It was getting pretty late the night before, and eventually we asked Sunny to help - within about 30 mins his travel agent had sorted us and we were booked on! The hotel was exactly as you would expect - simple, clean rooms. Note that hot water is heated on demand, so if you need a shower at an odd time you just let one of the staff know. Rooftop restaurant has a great view, we had good food and service, and it is reasonably priced. Renuka also provide camel safaris like many other hotels in Jaisalmer. Everywhere you go people offers you camel safaris, it’s the thing to do here. We thought Renuka were really professional in keeping the hotel and camel safari business separate - there was absolutely no pressure to book a camel safari through them (unlike what we read about other hotels), and Lucky simply told us what we would get and how much it would cost after we said we may be interested. In the end we did go with Renuka on the two day camel safari and it has been a real highlight of our 7 week trip in India (we reviewed this separately).…
We love Ranuka - friendly, welcoming hotel. Lucky is so helpful and goes out if his way to organise everthing from train and bus tickets to excellent safari experiences as well as free pickup from train and bus station or nearby. Lucky knows everything about Jaisalmer, just ask. I loved the Rajasthani traditional dishes cooked by Surendra - especially the traditional desert bean dish, ker sangri. Highly recommended.
