We had the best experience at the guest house. Great location, awesome view, and nice guests. We traveled through north India for 3 weeks and remember foundly our stay there. We particularly enjoyed the nice breeze that was continously blowing. It was so peaceful and relaxing in the middle of the Indian summer.

The stay at Desert Haveli, left us a warm memory that we can say it is a home and family, where true India hospitality is experienced. Our excitement started by entering the Golden Fort and his team was waiting to guide us through the narrow streets of Jaisalmer. The windy narrow streets were surrounded by local shops, the temple, the newstands. After a few right and left turns, we entered Desert Haveli. Just as described, it is a place where time has stopped. I felt the historic scent and touch, the open light well, the stones, the decor..The stair The different heights of stair steps brought a fun journey up to our room. We booked a room, that is located at the edge of the fort that shows a wide view of Jaisalmer. Dushyant greeted us Chai and helped us arrange an overnight safari tour, local tour and transportation back to airport.

Our third time staying at this excellent guest house. One of our favourite places in India. It is a spectacular and interesting place. The rooms are characterful, clean, with comfortable mattresses and amazing views out of the actual fort walls. The rooftop terrace is a great place to chill out and try some delicious Rajasthani and Indian food. The Indian breakfasts were also delicious. But best of all are the staff. Dushyant and Prem are fantastic hosts. Friendly, always willing to help you with any questions or special requests and most of all 100% trustworthy. We feel like family here. After we had left they called to let me know that my elderly father left his wallet there and Dushyant soon made arrangements to have it delivered to Jodhpur the next day. Of course we will return for another stay soon.

I have booked my tour directly with host Dushyant for myself & daughter and he has booked everything for me including my transfers from Jodhpur- Jaisalmer- Jodhpur , Longewala India pak border & also Pal Rajah tent Resort in desert. Desert Haveli is inside the fort & view from rooms & terrace is mesmerising, especially Sunrise & Sunset. Rooms are small but gives complete feel of old haveli and even beds are very comfortable. Being located on fort everything is very close by and on walking distance. Me & my daughter was felt safe even while roaming fort in night. Food was also good & Dushyant & all staffs were very welcoming. I highly recommend Desert Haveli to everyone who don’t just want to visit Jaisalmer but also wants to experience Jaisalmer, their culture & hospitality. Truly “Padharo Mhare Desh” 😊🙏🏻

We are an Australian family who travel a lot and stay in many different types of accommodation but I have to say that this property is absolutely magnificent and we are thrilled to have had the opportunity to stay here. Our room had a queen bedroom with decorative carved windows looking out from the fort walls over the ancient city and also a single bed in a very large adjoining space which also had fridge, kettle etc. This was ideal for our family. This Haveli is 450 years old and is housed within a fort with parts that date back 1200 year. The intricate carvings, archers and features of this Haveli are breathtaking, staying here is an absolutely unique experience. The owner is very welcoming and is always on hand to answer any questions and offer advise on history, sightseeing and restaurants etc. There is no pressure to sell you anything and he is absolutely committed to ensuring you have the best possible stay in Jaisalmer. We felt very safe and well cared for during our stay. The fort and ancient city of Jaisalmer are a travelers heaven but to really understand this part if the world you need to head out into the Thar desert. The hotel arranged a camel safari for us and it was fabulous. We were picked up at the Haveli in a Jeep and enroute visited temples, shrines and villages before saddling up on the camels and heading into the dunes. We rode the camels for 90 minutes and then set up a base in the dunes where the guide lit a fire and cooked us a beautiful meal while we watched the sunset and then the moon rise and light up the desert, an amazing experience. It was very remote and there was absolutely nobody else there, there was not even foot prints in the sand, incredible. Highly recommended!

Desert Haveli is no less than a hidden gem to stay in Jaisalmer. Imagine staying inside a fort!! Right from it's cosy ambience to its prime location and a super helpful and cordial host, everything about this place is amazing. The host, Dushyant, helped us book a super amazing resort right beside the dunes and took care of every little thing that we asked for. The staff was super helpful and supportive. I would definitely recommend staying here to experience the real vibes of the Golden City from right inside the Golden Fort, with everything that you ask for being around you.
