Detailed Reviews

This is a wonderful place to stay, & one of our favourite accommodations in India. Private rooms are clean & comfy, with cool white decor & splashes of Rajasthani colour to brighten the mood. We arrived on a a sizzler of a day, & appreciated having cooling air con & back up generator run fans for the times the power goes on the blink.
There’s a gorgeous rooftop hangout with fort views, & a great place to chat with fellow travellers. We purchased breakfast each day, which was tasty & reasonably priced, & lovely to eat outdoors before the sun gets too hot. The location is excellent, being only a ten minute walk to either the fort or the lake.
What really makes this place though are the staff, who are friendly & attentive. Also highly recommended is booking a desert safari through these guys, as it saves you having to wrangle with the touts outside, & it is a memorable experience. A big thanks to Gafur & Rijwan for their help over our stay, we will be recommending Jaisalmer Crowd Hostel to any friends travelling to India.

Very helpful staff.
Desert safari trip is a good price here, includes drivers, camels, cultural evening, bed in dunes under the stars and all food.
Much better price than other places.
Nice rooftop with views.

Had an incredibly comfortable stay with a breathtaking rooftop view of Jaisalmer. The host was extremely welcoming and attentive, ensuring a seamless experience. The location is perfect, close to major attractions, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The ambiance was peaceful, and the facilities provided exceeded expectations. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable and relaxing stay in Jaisalmer!

I can fully recommend Jaisalmer Hostel Crowd. It was the best hostel on my multi-week trip through northern India.
I had a single room. The double bed was very comfortable. The bedding was very clean and up to the standard of very good hotels. The rest of the room and the bathroom were also very clean, no hair, no sand, everything was perfect. The room has good AC as well as a fan.
The location of the hostel is very good. The hostel itself is about a 10–15-minute walk from the train station and about 5 minutes from the entrance of the fort. It is also about five minutes to the lake.
In addition to the cleanliness, the hostel is characterized above all by the good / positive vibe that the operators and the staff spread here. Everyone is very friendly, positive, and very helpful. This creates a very positive vibe, so that you feel at home. I was very happy to spend several days here.
The roof terrace invites you to linger and relax all day long and offers a good view of the fort.
So, I highly recommend this hostel. It was fun living here. Thanks guys!

ery kind staff who let us check-in early and also kindly upgraded our room as it was quiet! We only stayed for a day before our late overnight train to Jaipur but imagine it would have been a great base to explore the city from due to its good location. The room was really nice too!

WORDS are not enough to explain the hospitality and the staffs behaviour and attitude is just mesmerising and best ever.
We came to this location only by looking at reviews and trust me every single second spent here was definitely like a home away from home..
They will never let you feel that you are away from home.
Gafur, Abhan, Rizvan and AKSAR bhai were just incredible host and were there whenever needed be it day or night.
I travelled with my family including my 2 year old toddler and everyone felt the same way. Amazing stay, cleanliness, good view of the fort and their terrace is amazing.
Indeed the best stay in Jaisalmer.
They organised everything from dessert safari to camel ride to night star view in the middle of desert worth every penny.
Yes you can’t call it luxury rooms but honestly their respect and cleanliness is just killer.
I would highly recommend this to everyone.
We were supposed to stay here for one night however we ended by extending our trip by 2 additional nights just to experience their warmth and great respect at all times. Purely A MUST to stay!

I stayed here for 4 nights in a comfortable, clean and even decorated double room:)
They create a wonderful family feeling in the hostel. The staff has a kind, respectful and friendly attitude. They took care of everything I needed and even more, I knew I always had someone to turn to with any request or question.
I also went on a safari trip on their behalf which was great! It was a special and cool experience.
I thank them for everything from the bottom of my heart.
Highly recommend to everyone!

Of my 20 days in India, I have spent the best days at Jaisalmer Hostel Crowd in Jaisalmer. The team is a 10, very friendly, they help you with everything and make you feel really at home. If apart from all this, you are in Jaisalmer, the experience is fantastic.
The cleanliness is a 10 and the food is another 10. It is wonderful. The best hostel I've been to in my entire 20-day trip to India!
Thank you for everything and a shame I couldn't stay there longer. We'll see each other again soon, I'm sure.
A hug. Oscar Prat. Spain.

An amazing experience. Their hospitality is out of this world. They make delicious food on site and chai is available on request and more often than not they bring rounds of chai.
The owners are residents here and there is such a good atmosphere. They speak really good English and we stayed on the rooftop sharing stories. The hostel is clean, I stayed in the 4 bed dorm. Clean sheets, duvet and pillow. Bedside charging and light and private large clean bathroom. The common areas are very colourful and comfortable.
It is also in a perfect location away from the main streets but as Jaiselmer is so small it is ideal. I would suggest this to anyone who is coming to Jaisalmer.
They also organise a camel safari for 2.000 rupees. You leave at 1400 and return at 1100 the next day with everything included. I didn’t go myself as I had missed the group but when they returned they said they all loved it, it is a genuine local experience. I liked the place so much I decided to review it. Enjoy your stay :)

From the moment you reach the hostel the staff will treat you like in a 5star hotel, facilities are very nice and clean. Nice terrace with view to the fort, nice bathrooms with hot water, close to center but still very quiet and peaceful. Walking distance to most tourist places. They also arrange desert safari tours with nice guides, did one myself with them and is very nice at a good price. If you don't like riding camels they have other options of transportation, they are great! Also can help you with tickets for next destination, laundry and have very good Chai and coffee.
