I took my husband to Rajasthan for his special 65th birthday celebration. We stayed at Jaisalmer Marriott Resort and Spa for 5 nights. At the end of our wonderful and special time at the hotel my husband commented that it was the single most enjoyable hotel experience he has ever had anywhere in the world in his many years of business and personal travel. The facilities and room were excellent but the big difference was the staff at the hotel. They turned a lovely holiday into a truly memorable and special event. The gracious and warm welcome we received from our hostess, Jolly, marked the beginning of the experience. Meenu, with her infectious smile and culinary insights, ensured that we consistently received such personal and thoughtful service, and great food. Tanu, our room attendant, maintained our immaculate room to the highest standard and brought a sense of fun by her creative talents with her flower petal bedroom artistry. Finally, Rohit Siwach, the assistant restaurant manager oversaw the efficient running of the restaurants with the greatest attention to detail and quality. He combined genuine concern for the pleasure and satisfaction of his guests with managerial expertise that ensured the total picture was always harmonious as well as every detail in its place. He also found time to offer us personal tips about unique things to do and see while we were in Jaisalmer and Rajasthan. The warmth of his thoughtfulness and insights added to the overall charm of the hotel. Our final evening in Jaisalmer was made particularly special by Rohit and Meenu who arranged a superb dinner of the most delicious lamb and Rajasthani specialities for us in their delightful roof top restaurant. Lighting a magical lantern on the roof top and letting it off together into the Jaisalmer night confirmed our view that the Marriott team at this hotel are far beyond what one would normally encounter and they succeeded in creating a magical oasis in the desert.

The treatment we received At the jaisalmer Marriott was absolutly incredible. From the front desk staff to the manager we have nothing to complain about.
The front entrance has a couple of desks so given the size of the hotel check in could take a while depending on how many people are checking in at the same time. We had no problem and were checked in quickly. We had 2 regular rooms (247 and 231) and one suite (249). The suite was equipped with a Keurig coffee machine and 2 capsules which was great. The welcome tray of chocolate's and treats was great and we were provided a birthday and anniversary cake as well. It was absolutly royal treatment. We had to request to change one of the rooms as it was kept at 16degrees with no way of a quick warm up in the middle. the change to the new room went fairly quickly and without a problem.
The suite was light with a separate powder room and a massive main bathroom with double sink, a shower (including rain shower head), bathtub, and a toilet. The toilet has it's own glass door for separation. The bed was king size and very comfortable. The room faces the outdoor pool. The the separation between the bedroom and bathroom can also be completely opened. It is not a traditional door. The rain shower did not work 100% but we were still able to take an excellent shower.
The elite lounge boasted a great selection of snacks and finger foods as well as a chicken and fish for non veg snacks. It was comfortable to sit in the lounge and enjoy some food and drinks. Food stops at around 10.
Breakfast boasted a large selection of foods and they do an excellent job catering to all pallets. From dosa to cereals. The fresh croissants were amazing. the spice level was certainly kept more neutral to appeal to a larger crowd.
The hotel also offers pool, Foosball, table tennis, and a small library.
We definitely would stay here again and recommend the Marriott to anyone coming to jaisalmer. Thank you to Mr. Kasana for a fantastic stay.

Jut one word for the whole hotel experience- AMAZING. The best part of my stay was the food that I had in the hotel prepared by Chef Aditya Shrivastava. He is the most jolly chef that I had met and his food was just amazing. I had dinner as well as breakfast over here and he was the star of the kitchen. His recipes are just amazing. You can try anything prepared by him and stay amazed. Each recipe is kind of interesting and delicious to eat. The mouth savoring chola bhatura in the breakfast and indulgent Laal Maas in the dinner was completely phenomenal. He was so helpful and cooperative and was present around the table offering any assistance that we needed.
Other staff of the hotel was nice and helpful too and the hotel maintained an amazing hyegiene. Regular temperature checks and sanitisations were held in the scrutiny of the hotel staff.
I had Christmas gala dinner at the hotel and that party just made Christmas more fun to celebrate even in these hard times. The folk dance presented for the in house guests was just amazing and definitely worth watching.

We were at the hotel for 2 nights at the beginning of January. The feel of the hotel was not that of a Marriot property but that of an average 3 star hotel. And at these absurd prices the stay was a disaster. The night of Jan 1st was really cold and since we have a child we requested for some heating options. The housekeeping staff is clueless as hell and decides that there isnt any possibility as such. We requested for 4 mugs and given that we were in a suite with 3 adults this should have been common sense- took them over a day to provide us mugs. Same situation for extra towels. The next day we were irate and complained to the staff and they rolled out the heater, towels mugs etc. Their staff is also generally clueless- they have high tea in the evening but we needed to ask some 6 staffers to the actual location of the high tea and many of them led us astray. Their food is less than ordinary. I wouldn't recommend a stay to anyone. In fact at maybe 1/3 or 1/4th the cost you can stay at one of the 3-4* hotels for what will be I'm sure a better experience.

Marriott : it goes by the brand name and everything is taken care of.
Approach : 15-20mins distance from airport and other scenic places to visit.
Ambience: Can't ask for more, very beautiful.
Food : Very hygienic good quality food at all meals with hospitality to the level that The Sous Chef himself had made few preparations as per customisation for us.
Staff : Very polite, smiling, courteous helping staff.
Feel : Very Royal Rajasthani style, they really make you feel special.
Service though was a little slow twice in our 3 night stay but that's ok.
The Collective is good place to buy authentic specialities of rajashthan whether it may be jewellery or linen or clothing.

Stayed family of 3 for 2 nights including new year night.
Problems started with check in. 2-3 persons are involved in the process at the same time with left hand that doesn’t know what the right does. We booked the room for 3 people, they had our reservation only for 2. It took quite few minutes to fix it, then it took them time to bring the extra bed. I though should mention that all was happening on 12/31/19, the staff was busy.
Beautiful courtyard was used for new year celebration, but outside @ about 5-8* C. Open fire heaters that they were using didn’t give heat but suffocation from the fumes. Guests started to go inside to find some places to avoid it, The new year celebration buffet was beautifully decorated and set up with array of choices but some “minor drawbacks”: ie uncooked soft shell crabs and octopus with no one to cook.
At the breakfasts, lunch and new year celebration buffet the service was unacceptable, we were asking for napkins, utensils & etc several times ( please note not only at the celebration but 2 breakfasts and lunch too)
Apparently it’s no heating in the rooms. We do understand that they have cold days only about 10 days a year, but at the price shouldn’t they at least supply portable heaters. It took maybe 5-7 calls, numerous staff members coming to the room for them end up telling us that’s no heat in the rooms, only a/c that every attendant kept turning on upon attending our room. We only got portable heater when my husband called general manager & threatened to file the complaint with Marriott headquarters.
We stayed in various Marriotts, Hilton and taj through our trip to India, great hotels with impeccable services. This one was the worst.
We highly recommend to look into proper management of the hotel. It’s a shame that with such great facilities they are not at their best.
I definitely wouldn’t recommend to stay at this hotel.

Shout out goes to master chef and gem of the person Mr. Pratap Singh , hats off to the management by him and his entire work force at the restaurant always, Property maintains utmost hygine and cleanliness though most of the housekeeping guys never wore a mask surprisingly as they are the ones who should be ideally wearing all the time. spacious rooms good views and really great location within the citycenter and quite helpful conceirge team as well. They should have some offer for residents when it comes to spa which was not there also some work needed near the swimming pool as all th wooden planks had uprooted . Also they can have some more outdoor activities for kids as there were only 1 small room for indoor games so kids get bored playing the same indoor games.
Overall a 5 star for the property and F&B services.

Not good enough - this version of the Marriott group is sub standard. We were promised a reasonable room with some view instead we got room 117 with a view over the car entrance to the underground parking area.
The buffet breakfasts very average with quality lacking and choices limited and breads for toast very poor.
Service was slow, the staffs ability to understand English was not good enough and they continually mixed up orders to our group. Added to this we couldn’t send emails from our I phone despite having WI FI that was connected. Despite management providing a router to our room we couldn’t expedite - a problem with our server bigpond ? Doubt it as other hotels in India have not had this problem - find another hotel if you visit Jaisalmer

Service was slow, the staffs ability to understand English was not good enough and they continually mixed up orders to our group. Added to this we couldn’t send emails from our I phone despite having WI FI that was connected. Despite management providing a router to our room we couldn’t expedite - a problem with our server bigpond ? Doubt it as other hotels in India have not had this problem - find another hotel if you visit Jaisalmer

Wow... what a beautiful place to rewind and rejuvenate. The people of Mariott Jaisalmer have taken full note of the covid situation and have ensured that we are provided with sanitizers, clean and safe environment and of course super hospitality and warmth. The breakfast buffet was really yummy.... balance meals were provided in the rooms. Food was hygienic and appealing to all taste buds. Can't wait to be back!!!

Stayed at this meticulous property for a duration of 4 days wherein experienced utmost comfort and serenity , friendly staff members and approachable front desk, restaurant representatives provided us the best time here . They have a sumptuous buffet spread at all meals multi-cuisine and varied options.
All thanks to the staff here in particular
Pragya, Mandeep, Rahul and Shubham who extended their special hospitality to us . Celebrated their 4th anniversary wherein cultural programmes were held superbly !
Swimming pool, gym facilities are good and nicely sanitized property .
