Manisha's haveli is in the old town. Our driver dropped us off at the Bikaner Junagarh Fort, and we took an auto arranged by manisha to her place for 150rp. I booked a maharaja room and a non AC room. Manisha was kind, she upgraded the maharaja to a maharani room (the best room there). The interior of maharani room is more like Indian style (carpets, colorful sheets) whereas the nonAC room (1king bed and 1 single bed) is a clean basic with modern tiles. Both came with clean hot shower. The house is really nice because it has a big upper level slightly open area where everyone sit and chill - which is the same level as the maharani room. The non AC room however is 1 level below, which is just like a big bedroom inside a conventional house so u dont hear much noise (dogs barking or auto honking). The mattress is hard but really good quality so I slept well. Manisha cooked us dinner from scratch (hence the long wait, 2hrs from the time we ordered), it is like buffet style (priced at 300rp per pax, and not too spicy since we're sharing with another Italian and Danish). The creamy potatoes were really good. There's another table of local family who are tourists from Mumbai. All quiet decent guests. Manisha was a great, smart lady who speaks good english so she sorted any issues with no problems. Highly recommend!

Host made our stay very pleasant with their authentic Rajsthani food and their unmatchable hospitality. It is a family run business and will help you round the clock whenever you need them.
Thankyou for making our trip memorable.

Spotless home.

Great owners.

A real Indian style home. The home cooked food is very very nice. The rooms are huge. The owners could not do enough for us.

This is one of the nicest places we have stayed in.

We will return again some day.

I don't understand how this place has got 4.5 star rating on trip advisor. Its location is such that I have never seen a more dirty place. There are open drain sewers flowing all over the place. It smells terrible like how sewers smell. The streets are narrow where only an auto rikshaw can reach. We had to transfer from our Innova to an auto, near junagadh fort, to reach this place.

Manisha, our gracious host was the only redeeming factor.

The money they charge for food served was expensive. But the location is such that you don't want to go Out.

All in all an experience we could do without. Don't recommend it to people I know.

They could not have been more helpful! Absolutely phenomenal attention to detail, always on hand when needed. Super fixer for travel, transport places to see and Manisha an absolute wizard in the kitchen. The dinner we had with them could not have been done any better in the best kitchens of India. Their idlis for lunch with the sambar and chutney sensational. Brilliant

We stayed with Anil and his lovely family for three nights in their beautiful and historic home a traditional Haveli in the heart of Bikaner's narrow and labyrinth old city, the rickshaw driver knew exactly where to go as we would have struggled to have found the Haveli under our own steam.
We where both feeling a little poorly on arrival but Anils wife understood our plight providing food and beverages that where designed to make us feel better.
We where initially the only guests but other folk arrived on our second day making the communal eating arrangements interesting and informative.
We would happily visit Tanisha again if visiting Bikaner.

A wonderful old house with fabulous hosts, Anil and Manisha are so helpful and friendly. The home cooked food is delicious, all vegetarian and the rooms cosy, clean and the beds are really comfortable...a real home from home.....spent 3 nights and ate here every night as something delicious and different served each time. It is in the old part of town with the spice market just round the corner and the oldest tea shop in town just up the road. There is a great terrace where you can relax and its quite peaceful....

I spent two days during Off-Season at Tanishas's. The location is a little bit tough to find as it is in the middle of the old city which of course also has its charme. I was lucky to be able to grab the best room as it was Off-Season. The room was clean, comfortable and full of atmosphere.

Besiders the usual criteria for as guesthouse (rooms, location, cleanliness) this place stands out because of the host family. They must be pretty much one of the most friendly people I have ever met in India. It is not the kind of interest based friendliness you sometimes find but the family simply tries to make sure all the time that you feel completely at home. Normally I am too lazy to write reviews but this place is well worth it.

To get there first steer your riksha driver towards the Rampuria Haveli. Once you are there locals can point you in the right direction.

Our stay at this brand new guest house was set up by the manager Manisha's lovely sister in Jaipur whom we had a great stay with and owe many thanks. Named after their adorable two year old, we were told Tanisha's Paying Guest House had been renovated and opened this past October. The house is amazing, it really felt like we were staying in a piece of history. The place had enchanting architecture, is in wonderful shape, and they really seemed to have gone all out on the renovations. Manisha and her husband (and little Tanisha) couldn't have been better hosts. With the wonderful food, the impromptu nighttime old city tours, and constant compelling to make ourselves at home we really had a great stay and can't recommend it enough. The location is deep in the heart of the charming old city (although we did see numerous signs helping us find the guesthouse) and was an easy walk to the famous Jain temple and to the fort (and we just had fun wandering the countless surrounding alleys).

They had a great range of rooms, and our budget-mindedness was perfectly accommodated. I couldn't really have imagined a better place to stay in Bikaner and we can't recommend it highly enough--we can't wait to come back to visit again! Thank you Manisha, Anil, and Tanisha!

I stay two night with my friend at Tanisha Heritage Haweli. The room of guest house was very wonderful specious and neat and clean. the family was very friendly. We wanted to go camel safari in Bikaner with a safari agency but owner recommend another one whom they know each other very well. we were not happy with our camel safari and it was expensive too. Later we found out that they get commission form safari agency.if you want to hire a car and safari.do it by yourself in Bikaner.

It is a real shame that this guesthouse is ranked number 1 on Trip Advisor. I’ve arrived without reservation. I was ringing and ringing for 5 minutes before the owner arrived. She opened the door and returned back watching for television. I requested for a room but she didn’t had any reaction, except speaking in hindi without facing me. I went to look for the rickshaw driver and insist. She gave me a key, shown me the stairs, still with facing me, with no intention to show me the room and inform me about rate. A so nasty people should not have a so pretty guesthouse (the pictures seems very nice), it is really a waste ! Pity, I had to search another place !

Sorry for Inconvénience you have faced. We really feel bad for that but actually we need to highlight you that we serve guest as a Family in the house not as ordinary guest house. The problem occurred because of some scheduled problem as the Incharge Manisha was not in the house, she was gone to Parent Teacher meeting in school for her child and the Lady you talked at the time of arrival was her mother-in-law, she don't know english and she is Diabetic and ortho patient (If you need we may give you doctor certificate). She is old age lady that's why not able to talk and move a lot. We really do not want this thing to happen to any guest, because in India we treat guest as equal to God. We are really sorry for the inconvience you faced and trouble you got. Hope you understand this and will visit us next time while coming to India. We promise we will make you feel that you have make a good decision after choosing us. Thank You. Manisha
