The heritage look of this hotel creates more attraction towards it. Restaurant is good with its delicious food. But staff of restaurant was not co-operative. They did not provide us a sitting arrangement although a blank table was available. During dinner
One of its kind. Heritage with a cool bar. Did not expect but really enjoyed staying here. Food is also good. Very close to the fort. The bar is a must visit. Great ambience. Staff is very polite and helpful. Bachchan at the bar makes great cocktails.
We booked three deluxe rooms for our family trip which included senior citizens and multiple very young kids. To our surprise, they have rented the poolside to a wedding party. And what a massive, loud party it was. From huge beating drums to DJ playing at full volume till past midnight, it was just horrendous for all other guests at the hotel. Music was so loud that the whole room and all fixtures was shaking and creaking loudly with each beat. It literally felt that we were right in the middle of a nightclub in full swing. We called front desk multiple times, but they absolutely did nothing to even tell the wedding party to taper their LOUD celebrations. It even felt that they were surprised with us calling to complain to stop that noise monster. Other guests were screaming at the hotel staff, but they were helpless. At the end, past midnight, when the wedding party started lighting fireworks and we threatened to sue the hotel, that’s when the front desk finally went and spoke with the wedding party. Me and my husband is executive platinum with the biggest hotel chain in the world. We travel extensively all over the world but rarely has an experience like this. Hotel management was surely focused on ensuring that wedding party was having a gala time and didn’t care about the other hotel guests. This was an experience that was terrible and we would want to forget as quickly as possible. Food was good. Food service was good. Wifi only worked near reception and not in the new wing of the hotel…
Stepped out after a long while and was recommended this hotel as a decent option for mid range travelers. The experience was a major flip-flop. 1. Google shows the wrong location so all around when near. 2. From the outside it seems like a really small place. The staff told me it was a former guest House of the Maharaja. 3. The reception was decked out with vintage cars & nice historical pics/statues. 4. The room had a big balcony with seating. Pros + Heritage feel will be interesting for families + Restaurant staff is polite and charged with energy. + Smooth Check-in and Check-out + Very near to City park and major locations Cons - Renovation is required (Work was ongoing in reception area but I don't know to what extent it will be done. More is to be done in rooms too) - Water pressure low in showers - Water leakage from AC on the last day - Beds were slightly uncomfortable but I got twin bed despite requesting double bed. - TV was not working. I am unsure about repeating the visit …
Great view on arriving, expecially the old building. Well furnished with a pool in the garden. Some problems with the new building , with wifi out of order and television only indian channels. No tissues in the room and the shampoo is in envelope ! No furnishings, very empty, you feel sad. I spoke with the kindly manager Mr Manish and he promissed to improve and resolve these situations. Cheque it if you'll be there. Ivanromeo.
