Very comfortable stay and had good rooms with great food. The location is just perfect in Bhubneshwar and if you have good weather then awesome. The hotel is very comfortable and has spacious rooms. The staff is accommodating and is in the middle of the market. Lots of options to explore nearby. Pool was also great for kids to enjoy

well the three points are only for the location of the hotel, a great location , nothing else.
First to start with , check in was smooth, very quick, room is decent in size, not well mentioned, bathroom need a serious make over.
Towels are almost grey in color, very old towels.
One big window overlooking the dirty terrace.
Bed is small for and hard to sleep in.
Breakfast was not the one u are expecting form a 4 start hotel, not at all up to the standard,no taste at all.
Outside as well not maintained at all, the pool area was dirty, they are having some reception party at pool area, the area was not maintained , looks like hotel is more interested in arranging party's then keeping guests.
Well i will only recommend the hotel due to the very excellent location and if getting in discount price.

If ever a hotel could survive on the excellent service offered, Hotel New Marrion could be the prime example. From Check in to check out smooth, efficient transfers good house keeping efficient service etc. listings can be plenty.

The hotel itself is not new and in need of some renovation especially the rooms seeming thirsty for a new overhaul, the furniture probably seen early mughal days and the extended sit out of my room was out of one of Ramsay movies. The a/c suddenly acts like a nuclear reactor and the shower is more of a sprinkler. Also the toileteries as complimentaries are not of acceptable quality. The breakfast spread though extensive is more brakefast, special mention on Dosa the dough not allowed to ferment resulting in a bland taste with elastic qualities. Their Mirch Masala menu and taste are excellent a review which i would do seperately. Also their outpost Shanghai Express and Deep Down South are reasonably good.

Overall credit to Captain Cook and the Crew to Keep this ship sailing even with a lot of adversity.

Stayed here in January'15 for 2 nights. Its a nice but average hotel in the heart of Bhubaneshwar. Close to the railway station as well. The service however, is far from satisfactory, especially the frontdesk. A couple of horribly bored old people who cant come close to a smile. Else, was a good hotel overall.

Room service was awesome (prawn friedrice).

This is a nice hotel. A value for money option for business meets/conventions. A premium property of Lalchand Group (They are in jewellery business- which is evident from the artistic interiors). No it is not 4 star (as I read at Cleartrip) It is 3 Star with 4 star feel and tariff.

The rooms are clean and comfy. The towels and napkins looked pale.. I wondered why dont they bleach em frequently? At times I wondered if they recycled the used towels. Bed linen was clean. My colleague had to call for room service to open his bath. It locked for no reason.

Food is good. Buffet breakfast was awesome. Restaurants are cool. Mirch Masala is rightly named and had a bunch of red peppers hanged in a corner under flashlight.

No Gym in this hotel (Uh oh.. very disappointing for a great hotel), although a nice garden and a vast swimming pool exist. Pool timing is 7:30 to 11:00 Thus not suitable for business visitors. I had to finish in half an hour and rush for my meeting though I wished to soak for another hour. 5 to 11 would have been better.

There is a big parking space. The Janpath is widest at hotel. The huge temple in the opposite gives a serene look. The staff is friendly.

The Jade and Emerald convention centres are twin halls and are not properly sound proofed. Our quiet meeting was frequently interrupted by the music/noice from the other hall.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay here.

Hotels with weird policies should inform of the same at the time of booking. My wife had booked a room for 3 nights in the hotel and I was reaching the city later. So, I joined her on the second night. After a whole day of being in the hotel, we were coming up the lift when the guard physically stopped us. 3-4 all male hotel staff surrounded us and inquired whose name the room was booked in. I answered it was in my wife's name.

All hell broke lose. They barred the entry to lift, asked me to sit in the lobby and said women in the hotel are not allowed to take men to their rooms. Now, who travels with a marriage certificate??

The conversation became a fight with 4 of them and me and my wife on the other. Our only objection was how can they make such personal comments about us and if they had any such policy why did they not tell at the time of booking or when i checked in.

We immediately checked out and checked into a Ginger property in Jaydev Vihar. A hotel that tries to play moral police as well as gets physically intimidating is a no no, at least for me.

Stayed there for 2 days with my family. Hotel is centrally located and very well maintained. Hotel's entrance has a wide variety of beautiful flowers & plants which gives it a good look. Rooms are adequately sized, hotel staff was well behaved and the food was excellent. Its not a luxury hotel but definitely a good one to stay. For Breakfast, you will have a lot of options to choose from. Travel desk needs some improvement.
