Atmantan Wellness Resort - The name itself sounds like a rejuvenating and healing centre. And so it is. The last 20 odd kms drive is a pain. Overhanging the Mulshi lake, situated on the ghats, the location could soon become a favourite getaway from Mumbai and Pune. The rooms are either Lakeview or Hillview. The former are perched still higher in the resort and a walk up and down could be bothersome to a few. There are buggy cars that could make it easier to move around. The resort promotes walking and discourages mobiles and other tech gadgets. Though the network is non-existent, there is free WiFi. The food is just about okay, but the restaurants give the most breathtaking views. The indoor salt water pool is thermal regulated. The Wellness centre also has activites like Yoga, aerobics. They also do offer complete rejuvenation couple packages. Made over a sprawling property, being able to afford Atmantan may be a luxury but the services provided aim to provide richness to your health.

We visited Atmantan for our wedding anniversary. We loved the place, welcomed warmly by the staff and seeing the cleanliness there, it must be one hell of an effort for them to keep the resort so clean.
The rooms were smaller than expected but then we were there for a night only. The staff went ahead to make special arrangements for the Towel Decorations in the occassion of our anniversaries, coincidentally both the couples had anniversaries in a day's gap.
The meditation and yoga sessions are really praiseworthy. Not to forget the salted pool which was temperature controlled. It was all in all a great experience.
The spa experience and service was definitely 7-star. I personally loved the Ayurvedic massage.
However, improvements are required in the restaurant service. Either more training is required or more staff, but they should be able to attend all the guests. It took us an unbelievable 1.5 hours to finish the dinner from 1st course till last course and despite the staff came and asked us to leave while the other staff was serving us dishes. Clear lack of coordination.
Howsoever, the overall resort is a great place and definitely recommended. A must go.

Remember, its a no phone zone, so helps in Digital detox as well.

6 of us (3 couples) went for a short break to Atmantan last week. I had heard about it from another friend, but could appreciate his feedback only when we reached there. We had a very warm welcome by Taslima, Sushant and Bikash who also helped us through the health check and checking in formalities in a very smooth and efficient manner. This place is famous as a health retreat but we had gone there just for a break and so had not signed up for their health package. The restaurant serves satvik food with caloric restrictions (though we had the option to ask for additional servings). The food was amazing and Ashish, Mayur and their colleagues took great care of us. We had 2 occasions to celebrate - a friend's birthday and our anniversary, and they had laid out a special table for us on one of the evenings, decorated with flowers and also a cake for us to celebrate the occasion. We also had access to their evening yoga sessions as part of our package and Krishna and Harshita were amazing teachers, who made us feel relaxed and energised. They have a nice indoor as well as outdoor pool, the location in the midst of hills is amazing, and the entire staff is well trained to greet the guests in a smiling affable manner.

Overall, a great place, which we would definitely like to visit once more.

Booked the Ashoka room for two nights during valentine's day and my girl and I had to leave this resort within the first day itself, that's just how bad it is. The following is the horrifying experience we had to go through which led us to cut the trip short.

After booking the room a couple of weeks in advance, I had requested for a romantic decor for the room being valentine's day and all but the room we got had absolutely no work in it, not even folded sheets and the mirror was old and looked patchy in the center, truly was a sad room for the exhorbitant amount I had to shell out.

With regards to food, everyone is provided is a meal kit and there is no extra food, and it is very limited vegan food and this was not mentioned before arrival. There is no tea/coffee upon request. We went to ask for coffee, and they are understaffed and would provide us a cup of coffee after an hour, what a joke of a luxiry resort. No alcohol or smoking in the property either, just a heads up.

Their onboarding email requsted to get two shoes for outdoor and indoor activities, but the outdoor hike is walking around their resort itself as we are not allowed to leave the property till the end of the stay and this was not at all mentioned in their communication or while booking the property. Anyways their outdoor activity would then be yoga I presume but If you plan on doing so on their advertised prana and some other outdoor space, make sure to carry a broom as it is not maintained even in the slightest. According to the map they provide, there is a butterfly park which their own cart driver told us all the the butterfly have died, another heart break for us. Then as a last hope we decided to head to their mini golf park to have a lil bit of fun to brighten up our day, but the building next to the mini golf course was locked in the evening, where we could only assume that we would have got the golf stick and balls to play, but even if we had got them, the mini golf patch is not at all maintained and for sure even Tiger Woods would not have been able to make the shot.

With all the above reasons to not be at this property, the one that triggered us the most is the hostility with which their resident front desk worker Siddhant spoke to us. Truly felt horrified with the tone and the hostility he spoke to us, truly felt like we were in a cult and had to escape for our lives. Their other staff even lied to us and pointed us in some direction to the non existent butterfly park when we asked for directions while walking around following their fake cartoon map, horrible treatment by the staff.

Their only selling point is the large Buddha statue for which you will see an abundance of photos, they are selling this place as peace and tranquility but there is none. This resort and the wellness it provides is absolutely horrible and I would not recommend it to anyone who wants to take care of their well being. Having been to multiple resorts around India, this resort is by far the most overrated and the worst experience I have ever gone through.

It is a health and wellness retreat however, that was not my objective. I only wanted to de-stress and be amongst nature. Property is green and peaceful so you will feel relaxed. Due to Covid, the swimming pool and indoor games are closed. All rooms come equipped with a bath tub however, there is an issue with hot water and one should check that prior to accepting the allocated room. I faced this issue and it took them 2 days to sort it out. I was there for only two nights and resolving this stressed me rather than leaving me destressed. Book the rooms on level 1 as the lower level (garden) rooms don't really offer any view. The level 1 rooms should ideally offer a lake view. Staff is courteous but not empowered which I am assuming is probably why they could not help me with a better room. Massages are good but could be better. Staff at the Spa reception can be more welcoming. They organise a lot of activities if you are into Yoga and meditation. However, make sure you include them in your package else you would have to pay for each activity separately. Alternatively, just wander around the property, pick any spot to relax and calm your senses. Food options were limited, maybe due to covid. They served a set menu. Chef did a good job with the menu. However, not to my linking as I enjoy variety of food. However, I knew this before going so this one is on me. Maybe, they can have a different menu for those who go there for leisure. Overall, the experience left me wanting more. Good option if you are looking for detox, weight loss or general wellness. Else, you may want to check-out other luxury resorts.

Second trip to Atma_Man_Tan: an outstanding wellness retreat, close to the Bay, (an added advantage). A week-long detox is all we needed to push the pandemic weight back on track. Special thanks to Dr. Ravi, who prescribes wellness as a lifestyle with a pinch of Smile. The location leaves us all speechless and doing Yoga with Seema is what our body needs. The restaurant staff is the friendliest folks you will come across. Each room faces the Mulshi lake, and touching 10k steps/day is a no-brainer when the place is sooooo Good! The spa treatments rejuvenate us thoroughly. Do plan your visit around Full Moon, the sky lits up while the moon takes its rotations. Gift yourself some much needed Luxurious Wellness once in a while!

Writing this review sitting in the balcony overlooking a part of the Mulshi Lake… serene views, calmness, peace and more awaits you when you are at Atmantan. But there is an actual price that you pay. And I feel that this is quite on the high side.

We selected this resort as we were going with senior citizens, first time in the COVID scenario. On that front we were happy with the care and precautions being taken by the resort. RT PCR compulsory for all guests, even their staff has certain rules to follow which I don’t think is done by many resorts!

The experience here is different no doubt with the food being very unique , and if you have opted for one of the health packages it may even be restricted.
We enjoyed the food and I even wanted some recipes but couldn’t get any.

We did not have a good experience on the first day as we were disappointed with our rooms, with senior citizens we were given rooms which required to climb up and down and it’s quite dark too. Plus slippery due to the rains. The staff at the reception were not really bothered by us asking for an upgrade. Luckily we happened to meet Mr Karnil, Head of Operations and we were shifted to a room where we did not need to climb.

If you are booking without registering for any package and if you are interested in massages make sure you make your massage booking in advance or you will be told that all slots are full.
Massages were really great, different than what we have experienced anywhere else. But again quite expensive.

Overall the resort has been made really well, there’s a private waterfall which is small but lovely. Must visit. There’s a sport game area with a TT table, pool table and more. Swimming pool not operational under the current scenario. They have buggy service to go from room to dining etc etc, keep in mind that buggy takes time to arrive. Plus one major problem is that overall lighting in the entire resort is toooo less. It is not advisable for senior citizens to walk around post sunset, specially if it’s raining. At least better lighting around the rooms would be a plus point.

The last stretch of the road for almost about an hour is really bad. Lot of potholes, and huge ones plus one side of the road is not functioning. So the travel time increases and could be tiring too.

In case you are traveling during the monsoon make sure you have your own umbrellas. The resort doesn’t have enough for all the rooms and there are many broken ones too.

Atmantan is not a resort, its an experience! From the plush greenery for your eyes and in your food to the wellness treatments and nature walks, one has a great time and feels "transformed" in the literal sense.
This experience is made special by Gayatri (reservation), Shankar (Horticulture Manager) who took us for a Nature walk and patiently explained all medicinal and other plants and especially Prachi (housekeeping) who made sure the room looked as fresh as the outside every time we would walk in... All in all, a must visit place.
I just hope they include more activities for early teens so that my kid enjoys as much the next time we go! Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Kapoor for bringing this luxury to us. Stay healthy!

The location is exceptional. The greenery, rooms & the food is awesome. The restaurant goes out of its way to provide good service, especially Mr.Guddu (restaurant).

However we had a unpleasant experience. We had taken a 2 Nights Package well in advance and was confirmed 15 days prior. The package included 1 spa treatment per day per person and evening yoga. On the day of check-in we went to the wellness center and asked them for the slot time, they said you have been given a 7.30pm slot..Although inconvenient, we agreed for the same. But requested them that on saturday please give us an morning/afternoon slot. Next day, they gave 2 of us a separate time, one at 4.15pm and other one at 5.30pm. We requested them to please give same time for both us, we are flexible to take any time in the day but together because if it is separate we lose out on the entire evening & also miss the evening yoga. However, the staff seemed least interested to even make an effort. They said this is the slot, just take it or leave it. We asked them to make us speak to the Manager, she called the Manager but the manager was not willing to talk on the phone and instead asked us to come back to the wellness facility again after one hour if we wish to speak with him. It was one of the most unpleasant experience.

To any one visiting the facility, please book your spa therapies well in advance and do not wait to book after you check-in.

Overall a good place. Wellness experience made it a bad trip for us.

Dear Mr. Mehta, Namaste from Atmantan! Thank you very much for choosing to take your recent break at Atmantan. At the onset I apologize that you left a little unsatisfied. Thank you very much for sharing your feedback. Please allow me to reflect on the same. Atmantan is Result Oriented wellness center offering all inclusive retreat packages with different objectives. It was really unfortunate that team could offer you preferred timing as all slots were already booked. As a policy we do not take advance request for treatments and block slots as there are a lot of factors to be considered. Though team does their best to honor guest preference.
