We had the most memorable experience at KARE. Beautifully located overlooking the Mulshi lake . The ayurvedic doctors did a very accurate pulse diagnosis of the health condition and prescribed a personalised treatment. Iyengars Medical Yoga was excellent. The doctors and the therapist gave personal attention to every guest during the yoga session. They have a wide range of treatments for all types of ailments. The massage treatments are lovely . The food is amazing . All the staff took personal care of us and provided us with great service . Truely felt pampered every moment. I thank each and everyone at KARE for taking such good CARE of us . ❤️

brilliant welcome, outstanding care, splendid treatment, spectacular views, cleansing massages, food for the soul and awesome attending staff.. if one can anything better, I want to know because chances are u are lying.. rejuvenation, detoxification, guidance thru de-addiction from gluttony of sorts forms a part of the overall wellness which I thought was too good to be true.. I experienced it first hand and I lived through the most unbelievable rejuvenation of ever there is any.. body cleansed, mind freed and life-long damaging habits banished.. I am a financial advisor and the 14 days stay was easily one of the best investments I ever made.. TATHASTU.......

A 21 day stay at Kare was the best thing I did for myself. It completely changed my perspective of life , physically as well as mentally. I don’t remember enjoying doing exercise before I did yoga at Kare. It was one of my favourite activities. What can I say about the food? This is the first vacation where I ate guilt free. Eating healthy food for 21 days automatically trained my system to embrace the change without any resistance from within. The massage treatments were par excellence. The doctors are fantastic and always there to help you . The service staff are polite, courteous and very efficient. The rooms are simple, spacious and well maintained. The view of the lake and the surroundings is a treat for the eyes. Dr. Kalmadi and Mrs. Kalmadi are always making sure of the smooth running of the centre and that the guests are well cared for. There are plenty of takeaways from kare. Knowing my body prakriti helped me to understand my body better. This place also taught me how to cook food in a manner that is optimal for the body. And the most important learning, we should not wait for a disease to manifest to go to a doctor. Prevention and detox can be done effectively through Ayurveda. My stay at Kare was indeed a transformational experience for me. It was a very good investment. I want to and hope to go there again.

We are four weeks into a six week stay at Kare Ayurvedic Retreat . We extended by a fortnight . This should speak volumes . This retreat is extraordinary. It is not our first Indian retreat . But this will be the only one we will be coming back to. And we are not alone .Here there are many returnees. We are a 62 and 75 year old New Zealand couple who have managed to already heal ourselves of a host of health conditions in just one month of being here . This is as they say THE REAL DEAL . Here there is constant care and attention. And dare I say a joyous family atmosphere and loving kindness . This is what we believe is needed to truly heal . Dr kalmadi who started the centre is passionate about people and healing. He earnestly combines his western and eastern medical knowledge with the wisdom drawn from years of his close relationship with BKS Iyengar and the Institute . His finger is on the pulse at all times . Ensuring an excellent quality of service . Dr Rohit appears to provide the overview of each individual medical programme . While the three other doctors - Drs Arun , Divya , and Vandana are available and present for all concerns day and night and seem to track everyone’s conditions and organise all the treatments and medicines . And then there are all the wonderful therapists . They buzz around in their green uniforms taking exquisite care of each of us in both in the yoga classes and the treatment rooms . We will never forget the five type oil baths on the table and the powder scrubs . A particular thank you to Nisha and Unni . You took care of us like babies . I have to add that the yoga classes are pivotal to the programme . We came barely able to walk around the block and are now engaged in head, shoulder and hand stands . All carefully supported with props . We are now converted to iyengar style yoga after many years of trying all sorts . And a special thanks to Urmila ,Ananad and Harky who supported us with such love and care over the weeks . I also have to say a special thankyou to Anklet who helped us with tv and tech concerns and even organised a special lunch for us to take to Pune . . And the room attendants who keep the room spotless with a cheerful smile for us . And the kitchen staff who are unfailingly polite and the man with the stick who night after night walked us to our room at night because I was nervous about critters . Don’t hesitate if you are looking for the right retreat to experience healing and a complete reboot . This is it .

The staff is very attentive, caring and knowledgeable. The facility is maintained very well. There is a lot of attention to detail. The staff is very supportive when needed. There is some variability in the rooms and it is important to clarify this before going. I had a very nice room. Their focus on yoga in addition to Ayurveda is rather special. I endorse this retreat without reservation!

After 30 years coming to India regularly, I have tried traditional Ayurveda and Yoga from Kerala up to Varanasi. I must say that after 14 days Panchakarma in Dr Kalmadi facilities my experience of Ayurveda and Yoga has been transformed. Not only I found a very competent medical and therapist team, but I found excellent and very caring Iyengal medical teachers. The traditions of Kerala Ayurveda are as alive as the rigours of Iyengar medical yoga. A combination which regulated my BP, made me lost weight and has helped me to integrate Yoga as a daily practice. Very down to earth place in the Yoga and Ayurveda purest tradition. Excellent value for money and a great location to enjoy nature and good company. Food was superb and Dr Arun, Vandana and Divya were always very attentive and caring.

I met so many returning guests at Kare and now I know why.... I can’t wait to return myself!! From the excellent medical yoga tuition from Dr Vandhana (making yoga accessible to all from the most flexible to the very frail). The truly (OMG!!) wonderful spa treatments. The daily consultations with the Ayurvedic Dr (adapting and adding to treatments/medicines as required) and the delicious and healthy cuisine - I’m going to miss it all including the glorious view!! Every guest’s visit is tailored to their specific needs. The outstanding staff are like a wonderful caring family who take you into their hearts. They are endlessly kind and knowledgable. I underwent a Panchakarma detox during my stay and leave feeling healthier, fitter, slimmer, well rested and happier! I’ve also made many new friends from all over the world. Thank you Kare for putting me back on track!

I just completed a six week stay at KARE. This was my second visit. I came for a long stay due to chronic health issues which have been plaguing me for the past two years. Through Ayurvedic diet, medicine, and panchakarma treatments along with daily Iyengar medical yoga, I have had amazing results. KARE is situated in a serene mountain setting overlooking Mulshi Lake. Accommodations are comfortable in individual bungalows scattered around the property. The people at KARE make it feel like a wonderful loving family, attending to your needs with great kindness and attentive, heartfelt sincerity. This is a very special place whether you seek medical treatment or just some rejuvenating time away for self-care.
