Was there for 1 night only, as a stop over. Reached late night and checked out early morning. Found the staff to be courteous and the room was neat and clean. What else does one need for a night halt?

Located perfectly on JM road, in the midst of Pune downtown, fairly priced, hotel Pathik has always been a favorite for short business trips to pune. However it's never been as well maintained and freshened up as it is now. The rooms have become larger (though the balconies unfortunately have been taken inside), the bathrooms refiled, and a lift is in the making. With their own restaurant downstairs, this hotel is definitely what one needs to get around Pune.

This is a budget hotel, located in a central area in Pune. It’s a good option if you want to explore Pune on a budget.
The hotel is absolutely no frills - the rooms are really basic, and not very large, but for the price, (1500 INR for AC rooms) it’s a good deal. The rooms have balconies overlooking a quiet street which can be pleasant to sit out on in the nights.
Beware of mosquitoes though, and keep the windows and doors shut in the evenings.
The bathrooms are OK. Not the cleanest, but not filthy either. However, you don’t always get hot water through the day.
The staff is not very well trained, and don’t go out of their way, but are not at all unpleasant. All in all, not a memorable stay, but not horrific either, and excellent value for money.

This is the most horrid hotel stay I have had till date! When we arrived the manager said room wont be ready till 6 pm. I stated I have a confirmed reservation and check in time is noon. He said apparently he tried to call me on my cell (while I was on a plane) and because I didn't answer, the room is not available till evening. After a yelling match, we finally got our rooms.
Everything was broken! cockroaches crawling around, dirty sheets, sink leaked water, toilet didn't flush properly, walls full of grime, curtains heavy with dust. it was disgusting!
After calling 6 times at the front desk we finally got soap and a towel at 11:30 pm.
I am not picky and all I wanted was a clean room with decent service. But this is the most filthy place I have come across and I urge you to not waste your money on them.

After my wife stayed there alone a few months ago, I decided to try this place by myself on Dec 10th 20101, along with some family.
The best rooms are charged Rs 1,500, taxes included, and are in fact just worth that amount.
The rooms are indeed appropriate for a low budget traveller, but certainly rarely sees foreign tourists: quite tired, without any decoration, sign of modernity or appeal of any kind.
Though I found it quite old and gloomy, I must say that the staff was nice.
Location, though just off J.M road, has the advantage of being relatively quiet and yet in a nice commercial hub of Pune. However, Pathik I wasn’t easy to find because it’s very badly indicated (look in a small lane opposite Sapna Hotel).

The Pathik hotel is at a good location at JM road. This is a very busy area so u can not find a cheap rates hotel in this area. But this hotel is on its best rates. The room is very good and bi enough to stay with small family. the services are also good. if u want to stay in reasonable price then this hotel is a good choice.

The Hotel is on JM Road, pretty much in the centre of Pune. Most attractions (Osho Gardens, University, MG Road, Kayanis, Koregoan Park, German Bakery) Are all with a 30 minutes rickshaw ride.
The rooms are drab, and gloomy, but decently sized, with balconies that are nice to sit on, provided you dont mind overlooking the road. The hotel is reasonably clean, given its budget (1800 Rs. a night for a double Ac room).
The food is basic but surprisingly tasty, (if you dont mind spice). Service was friendly, no one went out of their way, but everyone was perfectly pleasant, and we didnt really have any special requests to cater to.
Overall, we picked the pace because of its centralized location and its afforable budget, and it suited our purposes, as a place to leaveour bags, and come to at night. But if you are looking for a great hotel to relax in and a great ambience, then this is not for you.
