The Hotel is just 3 minute walk to main group of temples, the location is perfect. It is very good budget Hotel in Khajuraho. The staff is quite friendly and helpful. Cleanliness is up to the mark and experience quite smoothing and calm.
The owner organized for us to be picked up by tuktuk from the railway station at 8 pm: 8 kms from the small town centre. The room was spotless, large, had good water running and hot water after a 15 mn wait for the boiler in the morning in your own bathroom,it then lasts all day. The beds were comfortable, sheets clean and flushing toilets. The owner was very cultured and helpful, with suggestions on trips. We also booked an Ayurvedic massage for both my husband and I, very practical in a room within the hotel: the masseurs were very competent and it was lovely to relax after long days in the heat admiring temples. The hotel provides simple breakfast at very reasonable price, and water bottles too. Go to the lassi bar 200 m from there, they make delicious banana lassi and honey pancakes, for an alternative. I would recommend this hotel, it's a gem, very reasonably priced, and very comfortable and friendly. Don't be put off by the low price!…
will give 5 stars 1) Location. Very close to The Khajuraho Group of Monuments. 10 minutes walk and you are there 2) They do have a ot of marble:) So it will not be hot at summer 3) Kind receptionist 4) Clean. Maybe not the most white beds, but clean and fresh, just used a bit. But for india really clean, expesially when you come afters street and market 5) Market is just outside the door, so fresh fruits all there and few restaurants as well. 6) Despite central location it was very quiet 7) Well. We asked how to get to city Orchha (it is amazing city, very much recommended). They proposed taxi but price was really high for this trip:) Later they proposed really lower price, but we already found a taxi by our own. But what can i say, it is very normal for many countries, not just for India, but for many other countries and hotels. Just check on your own, ask or pay and enjoy. Thus will not rate lower.…
I tend to plan trips well in advance and so emailed this property twice for availability in August 2019, asking for rates as well as some other questions such as availability of an English speaking guide to tour the temples and type of breakfast served. I did not receive an email in reply so called the property. The hotel phone rang for a good minute and then ceased to ring without the option to leave a voicemail. I then called the mobile line and a man immediately answered: I explained to him that I had sent an email asking for availability and he repeatedly said August is so far away, why are you interested so soon? I also explained that I had other questions in my email, and his next response was, Why are you asking what I offer for breakfast? That is not the proper way to ask the question! He repeated, "you should not be asking what is available for breakfast!" Very strange- I routinely ask what food options are available at the hotel where I want to stay, to assess if I need to search for alternatives. I cannot understand why this gentleman was so affronted by the question, and worse still simply did not reply. There was nothing untoward in my request, and I find it odd that the gentleman reacted so unexpectedly. Sad to say, but I will not call back…
Just spent 3 nights at Hotel Marble Palace and wanted recommend it to other travellers for it's helpful management, spacious rooms with good level of cleanliness, comfy beds. The aircon and TV are a little antiquated but all were in working order so don't be put off at first sight! Also the only hotel I have stayed at in over the last 2 weeks with constant hot water and decent plumbing i.e a toilet that flushes properly, working taps etc - makes all the difference! Generally a very pleasant stay.
