Detailed Reviews
I had memorable experience in Hotel Casa di William in September 2011. But the most memorable one is the friendly service that the hotel gave us. I was serviced and guided by Veeru and since that day, we've become good friends till now, even if my trip is over and i already leave India we're still keep in touch. He's really kind and sincere. The service was excellent. The food was the best among the restaurant I've tried in Khajuraho. The cleanliness of the hotel itself is well maintained. The view to the Khajuraho Temple is also almost perfect. Over all, if i'm about to go back there again, i will definitely stay in Hotel Casa di William :)

I stayed in this smaller, very affordable and economic hotel for a few longer stretches of time. I was even allowed to cook my own European style food, They even helped me to get my own vegetables from the market
Considering India, this was a very quiet place... away from honking horns and loudspeakers.
Wonderful staff, young, personable and very attentive.
Always lots of hot water, no complaints whatsoever...
Very close to the temples, the owner is also a guide in the temples.
I was there also during Christmas and New Year... The hotel was very nicely lit-up, also a large camp-fire on the rooftop during the New Year's party, it was so was joyful, even the little children were dancing...
The best ginger chai made by the very young cook!
I will return there... just to meet the many fiends I made in Khajuraho.

Stayed for two nights in Dec 2011. Me and my grown daughter felt safe and comfortable. The food was excellent, cooked to order by our young chefs. The room was clean as well as the bathroom. Hot and cold water never a problem. Veeru was an excellent tour guide. The temples are within walking distance. Great view of the temples from the rooftop terrace. Highly recommend if you are traveling on a budget.

We stayed five nights. We booked online with an external provider. When we arrived at the train station there were two people with our names on a placard ready to take us to the hotel in an auto rickshaw, one of them introduced himself as the hotel manager and presented a name card. We had not asked for this service and thought it a nice touch by the hotel. Unfortunately it was the beginning of a pestering strategy by the auto rickshaw driver for other business. He turned out not to be the manager, but appeared to be an employee of the hotel, arranging breakfast when we checked-in. I can only assume that the hotel manager endorsed the pickup and subsequent pestering. The pestering only stopped when we confronted the hotel front desk person on day two, Mr Lalit, a professional. The ride in from the station wasn't complimentary as presented but a rouse for further sightseeing, unsolicited and unwelcomed behaviour. A hotel should be a sanctuary for its guests, not an opportunity to hassle for ancillary business. More guilting is the fact that other guests who did not have a pre booked room, did not seem to be subject to this hassle. It's a pity because the hotel itself is an otherwise good place to stay. The room was fine, the location is fine providing a back way into the village, and the terrace is relaxing with a view to the lake and the monuments. But a hotel is as much about the behaviour of the people associated with
it, as it is about the rooms. Low rating due to this behaviour.

I have stayed at this hotel several times -- particularly because the staff are always helpful and very friendly -- most especially Veeru . Ask for him if you want any help or advice. He will be your friend in Khajuraho. The hotel is also very near the temples and it is lovely to sit on the roof top and look at the view whilst eating or having a drink.

We stayed in Hotel Casa Di william for 1 night +2 days. I booked the hotel through net so I had an apprehension about the hotel as I had some bad experiences in europe where i used to book hostels through hostel bookers. Many places, they charge extra in the name of tax, etc. Facilities are not the same as promised.
Here, things were alltogether different. We checked in the morning 7.30 am as against check in time of 12.00 noon without any additional charge. We could choose the room amongst the all available rooms. Stuffs are very very friendly & helpful. They helped us to choose right vehicle for sight seeing. Foods are extremely tasty. Locationwise, it is superb. Western group of hotel can be viewed from dining hall. There are lot of free space so we could lot lot of Yoga and meditation. Finally, they made us feel the home away from home. I will definately recommend some one to visit khajuraho and stay at this hotel.

To stay in Khajuraho and visit the amazing, ancient temples is an incredible experience in itself. To stay at Casa di William makes the whole experience even more delightful.
We were welcomed like old friends and nothing was too much trouble. The bedrooms, although a little dark, are very comfortable and clean. The menu was vast and the food was some of the very best I'd eaten in India.
There are 2 lovely terraces, filled with flowers and plants where you can eat or sit and enjoy the sunshine and the wonderful view overlooking the Western temples. The situation of the guest house makes your stay quiet and peaceful....no traffic noise.
Having travelled through India many times, I can highly recommend this guest house, good value for money and one of the best!

The food is basic but good. Its a small place so you can ask chef to cook whatever you want and they will cook it for you. Not gourmet but simple and fresh. Beer is not available but you can walk along the road past the lake next to temples and there is a liquor store where you can buy.
