We were on a Peregrine tour and were very grateful that we only had to stay here for one night. This hotel is in urgent need of maintenance. Our room was large but tired looking. The toilet didn't flush and when we told staff we were instructed on how to jiggle the handle in a certain way to make it... More

This hotel is very poor, we arrived early and were treated like an inconvenience. We were charged to get into our room before noon, after a night on the train, by the extreemly unhelpful reception staff. They charge 150 rupees per hour for wifi, then pester you to buy a drink, then tell you you can't drink in the lobby... More

The hotel was in a great location for visiting the temples of Khajuraho. The hotel rooms are tired and could do with a full refresh. I had to complain regarding the poor service in the restaurant where requested food and drink was not provided. The swimming pool was in a very unsafe condition and one of our fellow traveller's had... More

Just as the previous post stated…I also rarely give negative reviews, however this hotel needs to get their act together. They are moonlighting as a 41/2 star and are not meeting the standards that they are charging for. Note that no management ever responses to the trip advisor reviews…good or bad. This tells me they are not interested in improvement.... More

I don't give out bad reviews without serious consideration but this hotel's inadequacies need highlighting. We stayed here for one night and it was poor value for money and really rough around the edges. if it had been half the price it would have been fair and not a bad place to stay however for what you paid, it was... Big room but dark and uninviting. Bed was quite firm but not the worst we've had in India. Toilet didn't flush, and the plug hole in the bath/shower was almost completely blocked so you ended up standing in stanky water even in the briefest of showers. There were no other guests so we have no idea how this place is... More

This hotel was of a similar standard to all of those we stayed in while touring in India for 4 weeks. Most things work and the room is clean. Buffet breakfast is a standard Indian-western one and very acceptable. Staff were helpful.

On the face of it, Usha Bundela has all the trappings of being a decent hotel, before it is let down by shockingly shoddy service. I had booked two rooms for a one-night stay at the hotel in late-November: the air conditioning units in both these rooms were faulty; the flow of water in the toilet were barely a trickle... More
