The hotel was in a great location for visiting the temples of Khajuraho.
The hotel rooms are tired and could do with a full refresh.
I had to complain regarding the poor service in the restaurant where requested food and drink was not provided.
The swimming pool was in a very unsafe condition and one of our fellow traveller's had a significant grazing to his legs when the plastic drainage grating gave way as he stepped on it.
The reception staff were most helpful in assisting any requests.
There was NO free WIFI in this hotel and the cost was excessive.

Overpriced. Staff not particularly helpful. Ground workers suddenly became very active once my girlfriend decided to swim in the pool. Cutting the grass and spraying our towels and clothes with dirt and grass!! Arrived early for one night so ate breakfast, not good. Next day decided to eat else wear assuming having breakfast included we could use yesterday's as our free breakfast, told it was to late so were forced to eat it again to get the free breakfast. Poor. Toilet didn't flush properly, staff just said turn off by the tape.

My room at Hotel Usha Bundela was nice and spacious. The hotel ambience was also quite good, mainly the lobby area. The service was good, though the hotel lacks on variety of food in Indian menu. Also the breakfast served was not upto the expectation.

When i checked in the entrance lobby was good and gave normal feel. But when i reached the room it gave a look of a 2 star hotel. It was wired out and not all worth the price i had paid. Handle was not working properly on complaining they changed the handle and we had to wait 15- mins for that. Then lamp had some problem on our complaint the electrician came and rectified it. The TV disc was not recharged so was not working.
Pool was clean the area around it was maintained. All hotels nearby had planned a holi function in their garden but the hotel staff was least interested and didnt planned anything speacial for the guest. A small gesture of holi songs, rain dance, flowers to play holi, light snacks would have made the day special for us.
The hotel room is not worth more than 2500. If i would have paid that much then everything would have been fine. For 6700 it was not at all worth. Bathrooms were totally outdated. Dust was there on floor when we entered the room. cleanliness of the room was poor. management has to spend money to give a facelift to all the rooms. Till then I would never stay again at this place and neither would suggest to waste your money on this hotel. Hotel chandela just opposite of this hotel may be with smaller rooms is much better maintained and worth your money followed by ramada and clarks. Radisson is having the best infra among them but at higher price.

Receptionist Mr. Sagar Soni, is not transparent and tries to make money in whichever way possible..
being a solo traveler, this has been the worst experience.

I cancelled a cab, and still they charged for that. And when I refused, he made sure there was no breakfast in the plan I booked.

It’s not about 200-300 bucks, but it is about being honest to the work, which Mr Soni miserably fails

Review written by two senior citizen couples with extensive travel experience in the far east with a hotel budget from $20 to $40 US per room per night. Stayed at Usha Bundela for two nights at a cost of $32 per night per room including breakfast. Usha Bundela is a jewel of a hotel for the price paid. Hotel is rated as 4 or 5 star and was built in 1990. Has had bathrooms upgraded. Our rooms were very large and comfortable. Bathroom was excellent. Rooms facing the swimming pool are much smaller and recommend standard room not facing the pool. Cental air conditioning, heat and hot water. Staff extremely hospitable and friendly. Watched puppet show at night and it was cute. Pool is excellent. Large green area around pool and in front of hotel. Excellent buffet breakfast. Good lounge on upper level. Had small tour groups when we were there. About 10 minutes by pedicycle from tourist attraction and this was excellent. Recommend this hotel to all travelers.

This place is by far one of the most disgusting place I have EVER seen, and the staff are clueless, worthless, unprofessional and just rude, the worst of all was the general manager Sharad Raina. I was booked at this hotel from COmpass India, on my 17 trek in and around India/Nepal, and out of all the hotels booked on my behalf this was one of the only hotels that concerned me due to their terrible reviews, which I mentioned to both the travel company as well as personally to the hotel, getting an email back from this GM telling me "we've never had any problems before..", which I knew was a complete lie! So I gave them the benefit of the doubt, which I should have never did, and I'm writing this detailed review so nobody else has to be treated as bad as I was, please do me a favor and stay as far away from this nasty disgusting 1 star if that hotel, this place needs to be torn down with their staff still in the building.

Came in this afternoon and immediately told that there was a fee to get on the internet (old slow antique computer), went to the room, and immediately notice green mold growing around the shower head, toilet didn't flush unless (as instructed) to hold the handle down for an extended period of time, their was a weird smell in the room, as well as the refrigerator. And worst for me, I like to watch movies or tv (in english) before I fall asleep, no channels whatsover for over 4 hours, listening to excuse after excuse, getting more upset with being blown off, I approached one of the front desk staff he tells me "if you don't like it here you can leave...we don't care..", basically telling me to just leave because they don't want to here how terrible this place really is; insulted by his words, I asked to have the same GM called (who wrote me back the email), he finally shows up close to 6pm (way over 5 hours after coming into this hellhole), he comes out points his finger in my face tells me "you have 5 minutes to get out....I'm not doing anything for you..", I told him gladly you should have paid me for rabi shots at this flea trap.

The hotel lobby is very hot, asked them "why the ac was off in the lobby", without getting an answer.

I hope and pray this helps anybody contemplating in staying at this overpriced, unprofessional, clearly don't care about their guest whatsoever. BEWARE!!

We stayed in two rooms at the Usha Bundela hotel in January and had a wonderful experience. Khajuraho itself is a peaceful and incredible place. The hotel was clean, well-maintained, had a lovely pool, and good massages. The staff were helpful but not too pushy. This was my favorite hotel on a ten day trip through northern India. I would highly recommend it!

Visited Khajuraho during last weekend, and planned to stay at Usha Bundela, as seen good Hotel. I checked with My travel agent A2 Tours & Travels, Jabalpur, it was around 2000/nt and when we reached at reception- The Guy Mr. Narain Singh, who was there to grit guests, was behaving like a boss and told us that room costs Rs. 3200/nt.
I rechecked with my travel agent, it was same- Rs 2K. But that bloody receptionist was not ready to listen us. Then I asked my travel agent to book my room, he booked from his office at 2K, I received his message of booking, I showed it to receptionist- He said in very rude manner- "Will not give you room- online booking is valid after 24 hrs- come and stay next day". Then I talked to Hotel GM Mr. Raina & shown him a message & took a print out of booking- he gritted us softly & asked to resolve the issue warmly. He checked with A2 Travels, Jabalpur and there was a booking- Immediately he gave us room at 2K.

Meanwhile, since we were late, we said that will pay cash- whatever it is- Receptionist Mr. Narain Singh said- "We have don't have any Room" What a rubbish attitude it was! I never seen such type of bad hospitality anywhere during my trip. Since my hotel was booked there with pre-payment I stayed here- otherwise I would have said "Go to Hell"!!
Really frustrating experience.

Since the other staff at Restaurant was very good & gave us good hospitality- I have given a rating of 1- otherwise it is of NO worth- 0 Rating.

Note:- We took 3 Rooms- But TV (90's Model) in none of the room was working. How terrible!!!! Don't know who gave 3 stars to them.

Max.1-2 stars hotel, with bugs, without air conditioning, no minibar, old furniture& appliances, stinky sheets & air in the room - moreover due to mosquitoes, the window could not be opened. Watch out that we were supposed to be accommodated in Ramada Hotel but due to tricks of Ramada's Manager Mr. Sumanta Maity, we were compelled to be accommodated to this nightmare hotel. Hopefully, it was only a night stay. So, you are advised not to stay in this hotel for your best/safety. Pictures I took are useless.
