Chandela exudes simplicity and grace especially because of the almost white exteriors and wood work in the rooms. The common areas (reception/ dining/ designated banquet areas) have an old world feel of nobility. The staff are polite and respectful. We couldn’t use the pool but that can be an attraction when the weather is right. Concern: for a hotel in its category, food left a lot to desire. The breakfast spread is wide but none of the items felt like they were made with love - much improvement in taste, texture, aroma etc…. Address this and your will get a 5/5 from many.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Chandela. The room was beautiful and the location was just great specially Spa and Poolside rooms. We visited to many things, western temple,eastern temple, Raneh waterfall, PanaTiger safari etc. Airport,transportation and tours were also close by. The breakfast each morning was really good as well and we could each meal on our own schedule , it's was just very hygienic and tasty. We would certainly stay there again next time .

Currently we are staying in room no 224 and 120 ...firstly would like to point out the unprofessional attitudeof the reception who alloted us these rooms despite knowing that a party was scheduled in the courtyard overlooking these rooms .As such loud music was played till almost 1 am which completely disrupted our sleep and caused tremendous problem to the senior citizen travelling with us Secondly ...today during breakfast when I requested for a croissant and pastry to be packed for my ailing 10 year old I was straightway told by Mr.Ganesh we don't pack .I repeatedly said she is sick and wouldn't be eating and since we are checking out will only take these two items .He refused .Then when I told at the reception he said he is going to charge me for this ...Again I explained the problem. When I again confronted him he clearly lied that he has never said he would not pack .This was absolutely ridiculous .How did he have such an audacity to deny what he said ? Do you expect us to know when our child will fall sick and then prior to that you will pack breakfast ? ...We have stayed at various 5 star properties but never have come across such behavior. My experience was really nice. The staff here is very generous and hospitable. The hotel definitely fulfills many of the pre requisites of a 5 star hotel in terms of comfort, ambience, facilities. The only place to improve would be food: The dishes in the A la carte menu were excellent in terms of quality and flavour, however I was left wanting for more when it came to the Breakfast and night buffet. The buffet needs more variety and the live station counter should offer more options. Moreover, taste is also an area of improvement in the buffet: the dishes are okay, but one doesn't want just okay, one wants great. And I would like to see more vegetarian options in the hotel menu. Also just a suggestion from my side which I think will really amp up the experience: the hotel only offers a handful of channels to watch on cable TV that is installed in the rooms. Perhaps the hotel can offer subscriptions of Netflix or Prime Video alongwith the room stay package, as these are more contemporary streaming platforms and much more in usage than cable TV. But in conclusion, I genuinely enjoyed my stay here.

i have travelled and stayed in many hotels and i would not give a bad review to a hotel, until the hotel staff has been grossly nasty. My guests stayed in this hotel Chandela at Khajuraho and my experience about the hotel is that they lack professionalism and top down the staff lacks courtesy and shows high headedness. My guests stayed on triple occupancy where as the the rooms of Chandela are very small that an extra bed could not be put and the hotel refused to reduce the bill even though when they did not provide the extra bed. I was shown two rooms and one was a pool facing room and other was a garden facing however after we had checked in, they called up to tell us that the room has issues and we are required to be shifted to another room. So we agreed to shift to another room which was garden facing but the garden facing room was already allotted to a Korean guest. So we were allotted a room which was not good and later we observed that the previous pool facing room too was allotted to a foreigner. In our own country we see this hotel giving preferential treatment to foreigners. The matter was brought to the notice of all concerned including the GM( Mr Anand) but the GM was too busy in conference and never bothered to address the issue. My guests and i have stayed in Ramada, Lalit and Clarks in Khajuraho and i can vouch for that their hospitality is far more superior than Chandela and also the rooms are more spacious. The property is badly managed after it took over from Taj group.The buffet lay out in the breakfast is not good at all. The restaurant menu is over priced and the quality is not good. I would never recommend anyone Chandela Khajuraho.

One of the best hotels in Khajuraho, as the city is not very big and has lots of similar hotels difficult for anyone to select. We went with the whole family with elders and kids and Chandela offered best of rooms and services. Overall experience was amazing, they have lots of open space for kids to play and pool to enjoy and even rooms are kids friendly with wooden flooring and enough space for them to play. Staff was helpful and humble.

The property is good but the management specially the manager Hafiz is very rude…. we did a event there and made 90% payment as advance but they denied to serve food at the time of event until they got full amount and security…. pathetic have done a lot of events before and everybody settles 10 to 15% amount at the time of checkout….. they also charged us for lost key cards and some towels which got dirty which no hotels charge…. pathetic management….

I had a good experience with Chandela Hotel. I believe that the staff of any hotel provide a great experience, this is exactly what happened to me. I stayed in Hotel Chandela for three days, after check out when I reached my home, I found that I had left my mobile charger in the room, immediately I called the reception. Irshad and Bunty ji helped me and after collecting the charger from the room, sent the charger to me after taking a courier fee of Rs.250. Amazing. thank you Chandela!

1. There are lots of autos available at very reasonable rate to travel in and around khajuraho.
2. Chandela is a 5 star property we did not face any issues about hot water or fridge or room service.
3. & 4. Please check with the hotel about cancellation policies and is you have Taj membership it might help.
