Nicely located as it is overlooking the sea and very small but private beach. Small shops are at walking distance. Few kilometres from Varkala Cliff. We would recommend to have your own vehicle (as it is peacefully remote). Great room range, charming and friendly people always there to help you out. Highly recommended.

Visited this restaurant must say food was excellent but the waiters were little more than useless, which is a shame they got orders wrong, argued with customers, then argued with chefs, when in reality it came down to the waiters not knowing what they were doing ! one table consisting of 8 people walked out after having only their starters. We ordered curry with nann bread we were given rice ! when we refused the rice and asked for the nann bread we had nothing but abuse from the head waiter who did not have a clue about customer service. We waited over 40 minutes for the nann breads to arrive with arguments in between, our curry's by this time were almost cold I felt sorry for the table behind us as they kept getting the food people had refused. It then became a joke as everyone started saying what they had and not ordered or what they ordered and did not get, entertainment value was excellent. It is a shame as the actual food was superb could not fault the food at all.…

The best place to stay in Varkala! Wonderful peaceful location with sea views from the balcony (and some of the rooms). Very friendly and helpful owner and staff. The rooms were simple but comfortable. Wifi worked well. It was great to have a kitchen. Walking distance (about 20 mins) to Varkala cliff but only a few minutes to Odayam beach, closest restaurants and a small shop. 10 minutes driving to Varkala main town. I spent almost 3 weeks at Little India and highly recommend it, you won't be disappointed!

Little India provides basic but clean accommodation. The location is ideal if you're searching for a relatively quiet place to relax. Sitting on the balcony you have a view of the serene beach, peppered with a few resorts, 1 minute walk away. It's approximately a 20 minute walk to the main beach area. The manager is extremely friendly and accommodating. Recommended for anyone travelling low-budget and seeking a peaceful area. For the same price you'll struggle to find better!

We booked two days in advance and informed the owner of the late check-in time. When we arrived the owner told us the hotel was full and he would move us to a different one. The other hotel was in an entirely different location to where we wanted to stay so we felt fairly put out by this. We asked if we could move back to little India asap and he said he would get back to us in the morning but did not get back to us at all throughout our stay. The hotel we were put in appeared to be in the workers quarters and wasn't very nice. It did have a pool though. I wouldn't recommend booking this place because there is no guarantee where you will actually end up staying.
