InDaHotel is a unique place where ancient Indian traditions are harmoniously joined with the present time. The hotel is located in the resort area of Varkala, on the North Cliff. It is a perfect place for residents of megapolises wishing to escape from fuss and city's noise, yogis and all fans of private rest. You will feel the serenity of the nature. In 2014 the hotel was completely restored keeping the original architecture and atmosphere. InDaHotel is situated on the coast line, it's only 150 meters from Varkala Beach. The total hotel territory is 1600 m2 and it is densely planted with different exotic plants creating an oasis of coolness. Thus allowing you to feel an integral part of nature through a thorough purification of body and soul for a holiday for added value. The hotel complex consists of a main building, 6 cottages, cafe, bar and the lounge terrace. Also we offer you free and secure parking. There are four standard rooms in the main building. Each room has a separate street entrance that provides additional comfort and privacy. For our guests we provide all conditions especially for those who love and practice yoga or just like to work in the fresh air. Yoga area and well-designed, comfortable arbours for freelancers are located away from the main building, bungalows and cafe. Proper space zoning is a pledge for a comfortable rest of our guests. It is for this reason the cafe is located at some distance from the residential area. Free Wi-Fi is available all over the hotel territory. You can also have an opportunity to order different drinks from our fresh bar. InDaHotel is situated 50 km from the international airport and 3 km from the railway station. Transport to and from the airport can be arranged at short notice if required.

I had a very nice stay at Inda Hotel. The location is great, very close to the beach, restaurants etc, but in a very quiet street. Great atmosphere, very cozy. The room is beautifully arranged, and spacious. Friendly staff. The Inda café is also serving amazing food.

My wife, 3 year old son, and I had a great stay at InDa. The cottage rooms are beautifully designed. Fresh fruits basket daily is a thoughtful gesture. Location is superb - just 4 mins walk from the cliff. And the staff is super helpful. They helped arrange auto rickshaw and cars with good drivers for local sightseeing. Best part is the food! Everything in the menu is mind blowing. and they allow you to have the complementary breakfast any time of the day! Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed on the 19th and Dec 20th Dec two nights. we were 4 of us and were alloted in two bed room in a small block with those two rooms. It was a seperate cottage. The rooms and amenities were not befitting a place for that cost. There was no hot water kettle or tea coffee pack in the room. The irony is the restaurant does not open before 830 am and u dont even get coffee or tea until the restaurant opens. The complimentary breakfast was included in the fare. However the choice was purely continental stuff and if you are not fond of continental breakfast do not opt for the complimentary breakfast plan. Incidentally the nearest tea shop is about 500 metres away and hence if you are someone who is used to a bed coffee or tea and an early riser this place wouldnt suit you at all. I did ask the gentlemen about providing morning tea and coffee and I was told that the restaurant opens only at 0830 and well nothing about providing a kettle and tea and coffee satchets. The restaurant serves predominantly continental stuff pasta, pizza etc, so if you are not a great fan of this food u have to step out for your food. The first evening for dinner we asked for veg pizza but was told that they did not have tomato puree and we have to wait for 45 mts. Two of us ordered oats and hot milk for breakfast but were charged for the same despite we having paid for complimentary breakfast . Logic you did not order the standard continental breakfast. While the continental food was good ( pizza an pasta) not much choice in the menu. With regard to the wifi despite claims from the management that their wifi was working could not access in the rooms. Most of the guest were busy working with their lap tops in the cafe. Well on the second evening amends were done and connection was available By and large a great disappointment for the amount charged.

InDa hotel looks charming from the outside and in pictures, but the room was extremely disappointing! The flooring is mosaic tiles that are completely worn, and there was a stained rug on it. The bed was hard, though the sheets were clean. There isn't a cupboard or space to put your luggage or clothes. The bathroom's taps were leaky, due to which the floor was always wet. The worst part is that there is no generator, so if the power goes while you're there, you're stuck!

Dear Fabida A, thank you for your feedback. Our property is one of the first built in Varkala to welcome guests, and we actually preserved vintage-look floors which are maintained regularly, as well as we didn't put cupboards in some of the cottages on purpose, instead we have shelves and hooks with clothes hangers to provide more specious rooms. We apologise for minor inconveniences which you experienced, we would be happy to fix anything had we known right on site. InDa Hotel is an eco-friendly hotel, we use maximum of natural materials and offer "close to nature" feel. We do hope to welcome you next time you are in Varkala. With best regards, InDa Team

I had the chance to have a taste of the hospitality of Inda Family, Varkala, Kerala and I was really touched and mesmerized by the overall experience I had at the place. The Inda Hotel and Inda cafe has a very peaceful and amazing air to it where you could practically spend time chilling, eating tasty food and holidaying with the art of doing nothing 😛. The place sees many like minded, friendly and chill travellers who are all very fun to interact with. The host of the place is a very gentle lady with welcoming nature. They maintain clean and comfortable bedrooms for your happy stay 😛 and good service experience. I stayed here for a couple of days and enjoyed the very nice breakfast, lunch and dinner menus they had to offer. Be it from pancakes to pizzas, everything at the cafe was cooked to perfection and preserving authentic styles of the dishes, adding niceties to my trip. I thank the property and would recommend fellow travellers to give this place a shot for a good memorable trip.

I booked two rooms online paying 30% through their own website. My father is wheel chair bound and had put up “differently abled access” under special needs. I also called them to confirm this before booking. We reached Varkala, and seeing the road to this property we were literally in tears. It is a terrible one, not at all maintained muddy road. On reaching the property, we found that it had stairs, no ramps, even you can’t drive the wheel chair through the ground which is filled with baby metal. We asked the manager ( an ill-mannered guy) if this is what he calls accessibility and you know what he replied? “People who are on wheel chair should be going to hospitals, not hotels “ Hearing this we didn’t want to stay at Varkala anymore, our family got extremely sad. We left the same day without staying in Inda or Varkala. Even government don’t understand or care about people who spend their lives on wheel chairs. Extremely disappointed and angered.

Dear Shaliqes, thank you for your feedback, what you are pointing at is a complete misunderstanding. You were offered all possible assistance with access, and our manager brought up the comparison with hospital only addressing your requirement of ramp for a wheelchair. Our yard covered with baby metal stone is the only solution to rain water drainage on the North Cliff of Varkala in our location. With best regards, InDa Team

Was there for 3 weeks and was as happy as can be! The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. They have security in the building which made me feel very safe. It is conveniently located from the Cliff. My sheets were changed regularly, the room cleaned and sprayed for bugs. The staff was kind, helpful and always had a smile on their face. Abishek and Aji made sure I always had everything I needed and that my needs were being met. I will definitely be going back and staying at this property.

The cottages are clean and well maintained but very basic. The front desk manager, Manu, was very helpful during our stay. He was prompt and catered to all our queries and requests. However, the stay was not as we had expected. This basic lodging that the owners call a hotel is basically a cluster of ordinary cottages. To be eligible to be a hotel, the establishment must provide at least a few minimum services. However, if the guests have to so much as fill the water bottles in their rooms themselves, then it's not a hotel but a hostel. It's one of those places that under the garb of being ecofriendly provides no hospitality but is priced high (We paid 4000 for one night!) The rooms are dimly lit; I had to literally squint my eyes every time I used the washroom. It enhances the ambience of the room but would appreciate the option of a brighter tube light! Oh and the space marketed on their website as terrace is actually just a verandah with no view. What put us off the most was that there was a power cut around noon and this place did not have a power backup! Even hostels have 24*7 power backups! The staff was apathetic to our complaints and outright told us that they would be able to anything in this scenario. Thankfully the power came back in 4 hours. Inda mostly caters to backpackers. But if like me you want comfort and are not averse to the idea of room service, please avoid this "off beat" place. The Cafe on the premises is a small one and gets busy in the evenings. Again will not recommend if you like some peace and quiet while having your meal and don't hate seasoning. The only thing we enjoyed was the buffalo patty burger. Every thing else on the menu was insipid with no flavour at all!

Dear vasvis2020, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We're sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations. We understand that you were looking for a hotel experience and were disappointed by the basic amenities we provide. As an eco-friendly establishment, we strive to provide comfortable lodging with minimal environmental impact. Regarding the power outage, we apologise for any inconvenience caused. Unfortunately, power outages are beyond our control, and we do not have a generator as it goes against our eco-friendly policy. We understand that this was frustrating for you, and we hope that it did not spoil your overall experience. As for our Cafe, we appreciate your feedback on the food quality and will take your comments into consideration to improve our offerings. We value all feedback from our guests, and we hope that you will consider staying with us again in the future. Best regards, InDa Team♡
