Double room with TV, A/C and fan, just 50m from the beach. Big balcony with hammock. Non a/c for Rs 400, with a/c Rs 1000. Nice clean rooms. Hot water shower. Hi-speed broad band internet connection. Really nice owners and a wonderful family with the most cutest little boy. Cheap and comfy, all that you need!

I stay at Baby house for almost two weeks such a great hosts and great rooms. Close to everything in the cliff... but beside the great location and the comfy room the best part is Syam and Reshmagreat ...helpful hosts allows happy and making sure all is taking care of ... many in the tourism business need to learn from them

Intimate and clean rooms. Mosquito free too since they are with mosquito net + mosquito screen. We were on ground floor wish was cool. Well situated, near beach and restaurants. We had a great stay overall great price and quality.

I had a lovely stay here. I planned on only 3 day and ended up staying 11. I had some writing to do and it was a comfortable place to work. It was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. The family who run it are very good people. There is space on the covered roof to do a yoga practice. I really enjoyed my stay.

Baby house is small homestay hotel, which located close to the beach and cliff. May be 2 mins to the cliff, and 5-7 mins to get down to the beach. Owners of the hotel are very good people, friendly and helpful. Room and bathroom, bed linen and towels are very clean. Room is cozy and comfortable, hot water is working properly. Good stay, value for money!

We’d originally booked into another guesthouse in Varkala for ten nights over Christmas and NYE, which turned out to be miles away from the cliff, very very basic and full of a much older crowd, so to speak. We’d been traveling through India for three weeks, and had been keen to have lovely accommodation secured for the holiday period, therefore we headed down to the cliff to see if we could find somewhere better. Baby House was the third out of five places we viewed, and after the fifth we literally rushed back down there to secure the room! The hosts are lovely people - always smiling, up for a laugh and helpful without in anyway being overbearing. They’ve got two really cute little boys who occasionally trotted by to water the plants and give us a wave and a smile. The room itself was perfect - very clean, lots of space to hang / place things, mosquito net etc. We stayed in one of the ground floor rooms (next to the office) with a fan (no air con as we prefer a fan) and it was great. The shower was incredible - powerful, very hot water consistently; the best we had in India! The location was also perfect - you’re bang in the middle of the north cliff, yet set far back enough from the main stretch to grab a bit of privacy on the large balcony. Beach towels were included and there were lovely hammocks to chill in. After a bit of a rough start to Varkala, we really feel finding this accommodation meant we were able to have a wonderful Christmas and NYE, for which we will always be very grateful for. My advice would be - save yourself the time wondering around looking for a decent room and book this place. We felt bad for the people who rocked up with bags only to find it full, it really is a gem! For information - we were here for nine nights, December - January 2017/2018 and are a couple in our mid-thirties. Thanks Baby House! Xx…
