Sharanagati is a beautiful, unique place to explore yoga and meditation. Hari is a wonderful teacher and he cultivates a welcoming peaceful atmosphere. The house and yoga platform are lovely, the food is delicious, and the beach is just down the road. What a gem!
The yoga house is in an excellent location, a short walk from the cliff tops, the main restaurants and tourist area, a 15-min walk to Varkala's picture-perfect beach. The rooms are comfortable and Hari's green fingers have created beautifully manicured, tropical gardens around the house....More

You could do it at Sharangati. You'll get a button and nobody will speak to you. Hari is experienced and will help you with it. Although it is no real Ashram with strict rules and most people don't do vipassana. you can stay there as long as you want and I think it is a great experience. There is a Shivananda Ashram right next to his place. If it doesn't work out for you at Sharangati you could ask there, but I haven't been there.
