A ten minute walk to the cliffs and truely nice rooms, this place is definitely worth considering. For the price of far inferior rooms we got a massive non ac (ac rooms are same size) with a bedroom, kitchen area with fridge and kettle with tea/coffee included and bathroom with a proper shower! If you're staying at varkala you'll likely be out of the room for the majority of the day but if you are there the tv is good with English channels and the beds are comfy as! Sam is a lovely bloke who used to work in Singapore (learnt this from the great chat we had) and can arrange cheap scooters for you to hire. I would honestly stay here again!
After a hectic journey to Varkala, it was paradise realised reaching Pulari Gardens. The grounds are beautifully kept- lots of flowers and whitewashed walls. The room is basic but clean and cool. Warm water was lovely after a long journey. This hotel is situated about 10 mins leisurely stroll to Varkala’s main strip- my partner and I loved this walk and easily managed it 2x a day. The staff are lovely and friendly. Only word of warning- catch the staff when you see them in the office if you need anything. We had a small moment of panic when we needed our passports to leave the next day and there was no one in the office for a decent length of time, so may be wise to get these back straight away. All in all, a wonderful stay.
We stayed there for 3 days and booked for family. the facilities were very basic. there was no power backup, the bed sheets were not cleaned everyday and had to ask the reception to clean the rooms. It was impossible to call it hotel or Resort. It is a Homestay and you should not pay more than thousands rupees per night.
My Pulari Gardens stay was as good as it gets. Clean, very friendly, safe and generous. The staff was nothing but pleasant and happy. This affordable little resort is a gem in the beach reach of Varkala. I will be back.
We had three very good rooms with comfortable beds, good air con and reliable wifi. Everything worked and the staff were extremely helpful , we had a very relaxing time in Varkala and Pulari Gardens. The property is a short walk down to the beach one way or to the cliff the other. Highly recommended very good value for money.
Excellent hospitality. Good take care by local staff. Food is excellent(all the restaurants)I look forward to visit again. Nice location. Clean & big room. Worth for money. Must visit...for anyone..Just a perfect place for holidays.
this place is very clean and offers nice access to the points around. this is not on the cliff though but in close proximity, the service is great and the property is very well maintained. A value for money and relaxing place
It was a good stay in Pulari Garden, They can improve upon by having in-house dining facility, staff was very cooperative and most important pulari garden in situated very near to one the very beat places in Varkala i.e The Cliff beach Nice stay overall
I had stayed at Pulari Gardens along with two of my friends for 2 nights, indeed it was a comfortable stay. The staff were really helpful, right from picking us up from the railway station till the end of our stay. A special thanks to Mr. Shamsuddin! :) We really enjoyed the hospitality. It would have been very convenient had they accepted payment via card, but all in all it was a good stay! :) :)
We were a group of 4 people riding on two bikes. Had contacted Pulari Gardens beforehand as a friend had contact. The rooms are well equipped, t.v., bath, kitchen, mini fridge. Overall stay was comforting and service was excellent. Pricing is quiet reasonable for such service. Lots of greenery around, well maintained place. The owner is very sweet and helpful. Overall rating i have given 5 out of 5 as this place had least flaws.
