We stayed in Woodhouse beach resort And had the bestest time ever. We can have the most amazing view of the sea and the sunset without any disturbance from the crowd. I will anyday prefer Room No.101 Sea front cottage with the bestest amenities. Breakfast was really nice - price is very reasonable when compared to other resorts or stays. The owner and the caretaker Mr.Manikandan were really helpful understanding and adjusting too. I will definitely recommend even a third person to stay here.

It was a beautiful location! Very nice staffs! Room is very clean and beautiful! Resort view was really awesome!!! Good service! Breakfast was too good especially for foodies a very good hospitality😃❤ I really love how it is located near the sea!!!!

we are an adult family of five who booked three sea view deluxe rooms and two of the rooms were upgraded to two sea view bungalows. the rooms were decent and clean and the property is quiet. the hexagonal sea view cottages are very woodsy and we liked the feel of them. for information purposes it is important to note there are no t.v.s or safes in the rooms (not an issue for us but they are advertised as having them). they offered us a small fridge but only one between three rooms. when we asked about wifi, the manager just said, "sorry, no wifi", so we hijacked the wifi from the cafe next door. halfway through our one week stay we asked again and he fumbled around for a bit and then got us in on a hot spot. seems like they are limited and only accessible for a few customers at a time. the included breakfast is kerala style (specifically chana dhal, fried toast...(yummy), idli, coconut curry, vegetable curry, banana pancakes, chapatis, watermelon juice, coffee or tea and toast and jam) and is sufficient and convenient. the women who provide breakfast and cleaning services are lovely yet very shy. you must request your room to be cleaned, otherwise very little housekeeping is done. manager is pleasant but not present.he smiles a lot but does very little and we would often have to ask him a few times about matters we needed dealt with. with a little more presence and focus on communicating with customers and practising hospitality and management skills, this place could be much better. garbage is scattered all around the property edges including on the sun deck area (which also had broken furniture and only three useable sun chairs) and we cleaned up the area and the path around the property while the manager stood and watched and smiled at us. great location, sweet ambience and garden. i recommend for the right price. (not exceeding 1500 rupees) for an a.c. room) we found some rooms to have better furnishings than others so it is kind of the luck of the draw what room you get. either way, if you get a good price on this place it is definitely worth it! it is decidedly a budget hotel and a nice one. i would definitely recommend staying here if you are not expecting a fancy resort and are ok with possible minor inconveniences. there is a security man on at night which was a plus. black beach is a few minutes walk and has great swimming! we had a blast playing in the waves here... but be warned, there is no shade. the view from the rooms is lovely, especially from the sea view deluxe rooms. the sunset view from the property is stunning. varkala has a special magic about it and woodhouse beach resort is a very pleasant place to make your home while visiting. the right place for the right price!!…

Not worth. I booked seaview delux cottage for Rs 3500. One best things i cud trace ws the location. Thats really awsum. But u hv bettr resorts close by. Sunview and krishnatheeram seems to be better. My finding or my dislikes are listed below. Bathroom not at all clean and taps wer in very bad shape. evn the window @ bathroom is not covered. Had to hang towel to take a bath. There were spider webs on the window. Need to improve house keeping. U wont get a blanket, need to adjust with a bedsheet which is like a thin polyster sheet. U wont get a ac remote unless u req for atleast 5times. No hot water. Bathroom amenities are so bad that u hv to wait for atleast an hr to get a bucket of water. There is no reception and no proper checkin. Have to carry ur luggage all d way to ur room. Hardly one car can be parked in their parking area. In bath u only get a small medimix soap and 2 stained towels Worst part was the breakfast.. better u go out and hv fud Cmon guys. Pls do the min job to attract ur guests. U have a grt location than any other resort on the cliff. Try to cash it by gvg bettr service..…

This place we stayed for 2 nights with family. The view to sea is great and beach is easily accessible just 2-3 minutes walk. Breakfast was included and is basic one but good enough and also tastes good. Owner is quite helpful. There is security at night monitoring the place. Overall great stay.

Hotel's location is great. Its at the end of the cliff. You can enjoy the beach just by walking out of your room. Sevice is good and it doesnt have its own restaurant. There are cafes jusi in front of the hotel. Book the hotel for its proximity to beach.

great place to stay beside the beach ... practically on the beach ... u can hear the waves in your rooms. beautiful garden with palm trees and seating for outdoor breakfast on the lawn watching the waves rolling in. But be wary of the overhead coconuts in this great garden ... don't sit underneath ...ouch !! Good wifi signal here too when you ask for it. great rooms with balconies and views. AC if you wish en suite bathrooms fans and I haven't seen one mosquito yet and im here almost 3 weeks already ... cant leave !! there is even an inhouse full time Ayurvedic Therapist/masseuse here as well - Ratheesh who will rub all your aches and pains and stress away at very good hourly rates .. well worth it too i can assure you. and the boss man owner manager Mr Alzar will help and advise in any way possible - as he does ... might even show you one of his short movie clips that is his passion when the hotel may be quiet. staff are very courteous helpful and kind and will organise your laundry service too and free water each day . Simple but tasty breakfast from Shams as well. Tea or coffee to your room or breakfast in bed for those honeymooners who cant leave the bed !! well worth a visit at the most economical rates around. The hotel as it looks in pictures is not the same when u see it, so don’t get fooled with the pictures. You may screw your holiday by checking here, the first and the foremost thing which annoys you is the team at the hotel. So unprofessional, rude and disrespectful towards guest. All the things in the hotel are royally screwed on top of that the staff makes it worst, the GM of the hotel is the only good thing there in the hotel and he is the only one who can sort your issues (a gem of a person). The moment we entered in the room we saw a fridge totally rusted and dirty and dead, on asking they said we don’t provide fridge in the room this was kept by mistake (seriously? ) and basic lodge this days also provides a small fridge. Just to not allow me to forget that incident when I went to take shower the water went of half the way and I ended up half showered, on complaining the same to the hotel they took half an hour to come and check the issue. Again to not forget me this incident while going around the room I got my leg hurt due to the sharp edges of the bed( a total wrong furniture for hotel, be careful) on asking a bandaid from the hotel they never bothered to get me that till two days I stayed in the hotel. The staff of the hotel is a complete disaster in the hotel. Please avoid staying there as far as possible.…
