Spent a few nights at this charming and well situated boutique hotel. A little confusing to access but after a couple of phone calls realised that the car park advised to arrive at is actually the one behind Blue Waters restaurant. On arrival, another phone call set into action the arrival of staff - on a scooter/ bike. They miraculously transfer the luggage to the hotel via a brief walk along a lane way leading to the hotel entrance. We later learned of a short cut from hotel to car park where our driver picked us up for tours. Check-in was leisurely with a welcome tea while we waited. The two rooms - 2 of 3 that are sea facing on ground level, faced the sea - other than a narrow public footpath - it was direct views. There are rooms on the top level and also accommodation in separate cottages in another area. A low picket-fence keeps passing walkers and bike riders off the property. The passing traffic is constant as the hotel is located nearby to other accommodation, fishing spots and two restaurants. Plus the walk in either direction is a photographers dream. Our rooms were comfortable, well appointed and with a few minor changes could elevate the boutique hotel. The owner was happy to take on board suggestions - such as blockout curtains and fly screens. The room has a comfortable bed with some storage space and a separate basic bathroom - hot water. Tea making facilities are available and also a fridge on request. Airconditioner and fan were welcome as open windows attracted a few insects. It wasn't a major problem. No TV or phone, minibar - this place is a retreat from the typical tourist places. No pool - but owner is considering it. We didn't miss it - there is too much to see and do - visiting North Cliffs and the beaches or Jatuyu Sculpture. We loved this hotel because it was away from the tourist haunts, was surrounded by coconut palms, and a genuine retreat. It has become a popular place for pre and post wedding shoots - there is a seat with heart shaped arch over it. It is a romantic location given the endless sea views. Breakfast on-site comprised masala omelette, toast, fruit and chai - that was our choice. There were a few more - not extensive as there is no hotel restaurant. Guests could opt to go to Blue Waters next door if they preferred. That is the only food service other than tea or fresh lime soda refreshments. We had a very early departure and staff came in early to make us takeaway fried egg sandwiches. Thank you. The garden area has several table settings on a paved surface, a large pond with ornamental fish and of course those great views out to sea - where we spotted dolphins. The coastal walk is great and goes past a mosque/ cemetery, residences and fishing boats - great sunset locations. A bit far to walk to North Cliffs and the beaches, cafes, restaurants, shops there - definitely need transport. It is a perfect location if you want to 'get away from it all' and explore the coastal area and a more simple way of life - relaxing and uncomplicated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the staff who each day made our stay comfortable. With only a few changes this boutique hotel would go from almost to absolutely perfect. The owner should be proud of his property and for his efforts to create something special. The dogs were fun to be around - the owner has two of them - one a rescue dog. We chose this hotel because it wasn't a tourist place that chased the trends - it is special - please stay that way.

The property is located overseeing beach, away from hustle and North cliff is 15 mins walk along the shore . They server in-house breakfast however for Lunch/dinner, they rely on adjacent hotel Blue water as they don’t have in-house restaurant. We haven’t stayed here however definitely recommended from location standpoint based on details gathered.

Location is little interior u may find little difficulty while reaching the place by car or u have to park like 100 meteres. They are providing parking facility if told in advance, but once u reach the resort u will find it very beautiful and well manged, the location of resort is awesome. And small well maintained and clean beach is also there where u can relax, the host is awesome and so his employees, in my suggestions atleast two days should be spend here try to get AC cottages if available view is just awesome.

Just in love with this hidden place of gem. Can't get over it. Varkala you beauty, if I want to spend rest of my life somewhere, this is it. Being a beach lover, this property offers such mesmerizing views and the location of this property is just amazing. You never want to leave their lawn area. We stayed there at new year's eve, the hospitality, the breakfast, the views, the sunset, the beach (which is just 2 minute walk) (the best I ever visited), the host, the setting was just dreamy and magical. This is not some luxurious, lavish property but this is more than that which offers personal, intimate space to celebrate the nature's beauty with your loved ones. The cottages gives you feel of nature with all wooden interiors and a huge space. This place offers you warmth and love. The host (Mr. Sunil) is the best part of the property. He is the warmest person who is ready to serve you anytime. We are thankful for the experience. Waiting to visit there soon. Most magical vibes. Regards, Parul & Vimal

We did a lot of research for Kerala. Most popular beaches in India are often very crowded with lots of trash and not much swimming, even with warm waters. There isn't as much "Sunbathing/swimming beach culture", at least at the 6 or 7 beaches I've visited in India. So... this place is a hidden paradise. Its name, Miracle By the Bay, seems overdone, but actually.... it's really an amazing place! Small cottages and rooms with AC, a simple but freshly made breakfast, a very involved owner who watches over everything. A 3 minute walk to a swimming beach (out the gate of the hotel at the beachside on a small hill, go right and walk about 100 meters). The beach there is very quiet, super clean, and the only people we came across were others from the hotel and some fishermen another 100m past the beach. December/January time was warm waters, we swam for a long time, and the beach was CLEAN. No trash, few or no plastic bags, etc. Great option!

We moved here after staying at a bigger resort hotel. We loved our stay, which was made by the personal touches from the owner in the form of a sandwich for our train journey after leaving and making an effort to get to know us during our stay. The property is right on the beach and offers rooms overlooking the ocean or slightly further back. Both are stunning. This is a must stay if you're in Varkala.

We stayed in Varkala for a couple of nights and couldn't recommend Miracle by the Bay enough. Sunil and the rest of the staff were so helpful and friendly, and the bedrooms were very comfortable. We arrived an early train to Varkala, way before our check in time but Sunil went out of his way to provide is breakfast and get us in to the rooms swiftly after. Sunil was also very helpful in arranging our onward train journey from Varkala and the taxi to the station, thank you very much!

"Simply fantastic" I would stay. Location, ambiance, rooms, lawn, view everything is perfect. The owner Mr Sunil is gem of a person (other staff also), he is always there to assist you and ask whether everything is ok. Its a pet friendly resort. Ideal for family as the lawn offers lot of space for small children. Breakfast was fantastic (presently they serve only breakfast, no other meals). Property does not have a swimming pool, but the big pool (sea) is just 20 meters from the fence. I strongly recommend this resort for a wonderful stay at Varkala. You will come back for sure, as I have planned.

I just don't have enough words to express how lucky I feel that I had made my bookings for this place back in Jan 2020. It was nothing less than a cherry on the cake. When I was making my bookings for Kerala, everyone told me that I should stay in kovalam than in Varkala however I believe the best was written in my destiny and I landed in "Miracle by the bay" for 4 beautiful days. Trust me I wish I could give a higher recommendation than just 5 star to this amazing stay. From owner to his staff, from food to the location everything is just so perfect. If I have to express my feeling for this place just in one word then it is "SERENITY". If you truly want to experience the beauty of Varkala then this is your place. I highly recommend it to each one of you, go live a little and experience the unexperienced beauty of life.
