My whole experience of Kaiya house from the day I first wrote to enquire to the day I left was amazing. As a solo female traveller Debra immediately made me feel at ease with her reassuring emails and assistance when I first booked. She also made me feel very comfortable with the airport pick up she arranged and on the...

Kaiya house was truly amazing. The wonderful host Debra goes to great lengths to ensure your stay is authentic and as interesting as possible. Debra is the most generous and thoughtful host we have ever stayed with. The house is absolutely stunning and filled with Debra's beautiful art collection. The rooms are themed and very comfortable with an indian style bathroom...

We choose Kaiya House based on the many excellent reviews it was given. We were not disappointed. Debra, the owner was gracious, informative, knowledgeable and very personable. She welcomed us into her home and treated us like family - a refreshing change after weeks of traveling around India. She took the time to show us around the area, pointed out...

Genuinely loved this home stay / bnb experience - Debra and her staff are incredibly warm and thoughtful. We arrived early in the morning and Debra was waiting for us to check in, immediately got us coffee and breakfast and even took us for a walk around town. The rooftop is a great for meals and lounging around, and the...

I selected this place from the trip adviser from the top ratings it got and when now I know why it deserved this place. I was a bit worried since most of the people who raved about this place are from other countries but the hospitality Debra and her team offered us changed all my view points. From the day...

Thank you so much for your kind words and the time and thought you put into doing a review for us. To say you "saw your own county with a different set of eyes" really warmed my heart. It was a pleasure to meet you both and hope to see you back in Varkala soon. Enjoy all those weekends away!

I have just spent 4 nights at Kaiya House to have a break after a very intense 5 week Cert TESOL course. I couldn't have made a better choice, following recommendations from a friend in Mysore. Debra's hospitality is spot on. I stayed in the Japanese room which was tranquil and spotlessly clean. The house is a delight.....paintings and objet...

My boyfriend and I just stayed here for three nights (we originally only booked two nights but ended up extending our stay as we loved it so much) and it was one of the highlights of our trip. The house feels more like a gallery than a guesthouse and the rooftop terrace is a great place to have breakfast (something...

This exquisite guesthouse is so much more than a place to lay your head. Debra, Babuchi and the rest of the Kaiya House family have perfected hospitality. Considerate and immersive. Staying here was the perfect end to our India trip and we still talk about our long evenings on the rooftop terrace and the wonderful 7km morning walk with Debra...

Kaiya House is more than a bed and breakfast. It's an art gallery with one of the most remarkable hosts you will ever meet on this planet. Debra is magic. She is gold. My wife and I first stayed here back in 2014. We had such a good time we stayed in touch with Debra and invited her to our...

I was visiting at Kaiya House in January 2015, I think it was one of the best places in our trip. We were coming to Kaiya House from Allepey.
