We booked a week and now decided to stay for two. The rooms are spacious, clean and equipped with everything you need.
The pool is really lovely, and although only 3 sun beds, they are in the process of making more.
Staff are attentive, without being overbearing.
I tried a massage in the auyvedic center run by the hotel, it was very good and done professionally, unlike some you find on the cliff top.
Any comment or suggestions made by clients is taken seriously on board and any problems rectified where possible.
We would recommend this hotel for couples, families and even lone travellers. Although it’s not particularly cheap, it’s well worth it as the quality of our stay far exceeds that of other hotels we have stayed in.

Calm spacious beautiful situated complex, 2mins from a cliff. Bathrooms and rooms are very clean, with a balcony and comfy bed, everyday bottled water and delicious breakfast, including fresh fruits. Pool is also available. Very helpful owner and friendly, kind staff. We were happy to soothe here and highly recommend to any traveller.

It was our first time visiting Varkala. We stayed as a family for 7 days at Sajjoys in 3 superior double rooms.

Sajjoys is a very cosy and beautiful four-star hotel. It looks exactly like in the pictures on the website.
You are greeted by a combination of family atmosphere, sincere hospitality and warm ambience which makes you feel very welcome and comfortable in the moment you enter the hotel.

The rooms were very comfortable, clean and nice in every way.
Especially the bed was a great positive surprise for those among us who have back problems. The sleeping experience was awesome due to great quality matrasses and cushions.

All facilities and amenities like pool, restaurant, gym, etc. were well maintained. The food in the restaurant was delicious and was freshly prepared once the meal order has been given.

The location of the hotel is perfect because it is only a 2-minute walk to the cliffs and the beach where you have numerous restaurants and souvenir shops.
There are enough possibilities for sightseeing and excursions. We would like to recommend a visit to Kappil Beach and a boats tour on the backwaters.

After having stayed in various hotels on 4 different continents the stay at Sajjoys is definitely on the top of the list of best experiences ever.
The overall experience was completed due to the exceptional service of every staff member who were always very delightful and eager to help!
A very special thanks goes to Mr. Sajeer and Mr. Praveen who went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible by arranging and organizing really everything for us!
We highly recommend Sajjoys for anyone visiting Varkala. If we ever decide to visit Varkala again we will definitely come back to Sajjoys. It was such a joy at Sajjoys!

Air conditioning didn't work in 90+ degree weather, fan wasn't adjustable, bad plumbing and honking traffic kept me up all night. My room had bugs in the toilet (which wouldn't flush) and sand all over the bathroom when I checked in. Place had a dirty, grimy feeling overall. Wifi did not work. Breakfast was from 830-930 only and was already cold at 830 sharp. I checked out after one night of a three night reservation AFTER the GM and Operational management assured me I would be refunded for the two nights I didn't stay - now the hotel is refusing to initiate refund. Looked different than pictures and the management blatantly lied. False advertising, untrustworthy staff and administration. Worst hotel experience I've had in my life.

We spent a week in Northern India sightseeing and then after that busy week we flew down to Varkala via Trivandrum where we spent a most enjoyable and tranquil 4 weeks staying at Sajjoys.
Having booked directly with the Hotel dealing with Nikhil all our arrangements worked prefectly from the airport pickup onwards.
Sajjoys is a new property just beside the Hellipad and is close to all the shops and restaurants on the cliff as well as the beach.Having stayed twice before in Varkala in a well known branded hotel we were not sure what to expect, however Sajjoys did not disappoint,
Rooms, new with a balcony, spacious with plenty or storage space, and excellent shower room.
Pool, superb but with few sunbeds.
Breakfast, south Indian and excellent ( we enjoyed the Poori Baji and Dosas) European stlye breakfast a bit hit and miss.
Staff beyond reproach, friendly helpfull, nothing was too much trouble for them.
The Hotel specialise in Aryuvedic treatments which we did not try, however speaking to other guests who were there for the treatments they thought they were excellent.
Could have stayed longer and cant wait to return.

This hotel has so much going for it. It is centrally located at the heart of life on Varkala beach cliff top. It is a super clean hotel with all the modern facilities. Our room equalled any you’d find at a four to five star hotel in Europe. Everything worked in the hotel to ensure your stay was the best experience. Above all the staff were delightful. They were very pleasant and most helpful throughout our stay. The manager, Sajeer ensured our stay was the best we’ve had in India so far. His care and attention to our needs far out passed what we experienced before. The food in the hotel was superb. All tastes are catered for. I even got my porridge in the morning. The icing on the cake were the Ayurvedic treatments we received. Dr Jenson Jacob and his highly qualified team put this hotel on the Ayurvedic map of top spots for Ayurvedic treatments. To be honest this was our best stay in India.

We have spent the last two weeks at Sajjoy’s Varkala. From day one all the staff at the hotel have been exceptional. Very accommodating, to ensure our stay is effortless. From airport pickup to checkout, will definitely be returning.

We stayed within one of the Superior Double Suites, accommodation was found to be of a high standard.

Location is within two minutes walk from the Helipad, and all local restaurants and shops. A some what, Camden Town feel with live music and authentic eateries during the evening. Thanks to all staff, special thanks to Sajeer and Praveen, for making our stay so memorable.

Many thanks Anil and Usa Divakaran Home town London (08/2022)

Comfortable rooms, the decor of the outdoor galleries is really lovely with traditional Kerala paintings. Swimming pool is good. Staff are helpful.
There is lack of open area, hotel feels pricey as compared to the other options in the vicinity.
The Varkala helipad and cliff is a stone’s throw away. Papanasam beach is approximately 600 m away but depending on when you visit you may or may not be able to access the beach. You can enjoy a 1.5 kms walk along the cliff to the Black sand beach.

I believe that a review should be as honest as possible and the whole point is to let other travellers read these reviews and make up their minds based on other travellers' experiences.
Sajjoys has great reviews which is why we chose it.
Sadly for us it didn't meet our expectations based on their website.
Our first room was very noisy. The hotel is on the main road going to the helipad car park so you hear horns honking constantly.
We moved to another room at the back of the hotel but unfortunately for us we had no peace and quiet. There is construction going on above..I think they are building another floor.
It was every day we were there (7) except one day they agreed to stop to give us some peace!
Its loud!
I do think the hotel has a duty to inform prospective guests there is work going on so they can decide if that will be okay. We were not told in advance so we were annoyed of course. We were not offered a discount either. This is quite an expensive hotel compared to others in the area.

There are no where near enough sunbeds and the only place to put the 3 they have is taken up by cars.
Such a shame as the pool area is lovely.

Breakfast was disappointing..the same food every single day for a week. Other guests actually went without and decided to eat out elsewhere.
This really needs some variation. It's also very difficult to get what you ask for. If we wanted cold milk we got hot. Black coffee we got white.
Only small things but it got tedious over a week.
The staff however are just wonderful!
Very friendly and helpful.
Oh and dont use a pre booked taxi. It cost us double what uber cost us to the airport.

This boutique hotel very near to the cliff top beach has very attentive, polite & helpful staff. It's very clean and well-maintained. And the pool was very refreshing after a hot day, with ample, comfortable, sun loungers, and clean/soft towels.

It would have been good to have more western variety of food at breakfast.
