We, a family with 3 children age 6, 9 and 11 stayed for 4 nights at this fantastic homestay. Everything is simply perfect! Rani and Sudhanen took care of us and were always helping out with a big smile. Our children had also a lot of fun playing with the children of the house. If you stay at Mummy Bamboo,...

I can only write all things good about Mummy Bamboo House. A friendly welcome and hearty Thali/meal for lunch on arrival on our first day, clean rooms, including sheets, bathroom and balcony. The fan was all we needed in our non-a/c room and despite having a mosquito net in the room, we didn't need to use it at all. The...

I was staying there 2 weeks. The Hotel is in very good conditions and close to the main Cliff (60m) but quiet. If you want, you can spent time with the family, learning the way of life and just having fun, eat and laugh with them. They really look to fulfill all your needs and wishes - and really good!...

We stayed with Rani and her family in August last year on a month long trip of India. We were made to feel like family. We loved the tucked away location close to the beach and town. So close you can hear the palms and waves from bed. The cooking lessons were fantastic and we loved every meal we ate...

One of the best homestays in varkala that I've come across in our travel around Kerala. This place is by far one of the best places you can stay in varkala for the price you pay. We, ourselves an avid traveling couple, were initially apprehensive about the place when we came to know the price. Boy, were we glad that...

We originally booked 5 nights at Mummy Bamboo House, and then stayed for ten. After travelling around Kerala, we went back for another 9 nights, then stayed in Alleppey for a few days, and then came back for another 4 nights! The reason? It's just a great place to stay! We stayed in three different rooms, and all were very...

Stayed at Mummy Bamboo House at the end of a 7 week visit to Kanataka and Kerala. It was our 5th visit to Varkala in the last 8 years. We choose Mummy Bamboo House due to it's Trip Advisor Reviews as we were on a tight budget and our usual choice Sea Breeze was too expensive and is now cut...

I had a lovely stay at the Mummy Bamboo house. The rooms were clean and a good distance away from the busy beach. Rani showed me how to cook the favourite family curry in her kitchen.... I would definately recommend requesting to eat dinner here. She also made the best banana pancake and chai to start off the day. Thank...

Mummy Bamboo House provided us with the highlight of our month long India trip. Good old fashioned friendly service and hospitality. Nothing was a problem for Rani and her family. The ultimate experience - home cooked meals, cooking lessons, grocery, fish and vegetable shopping at the local markets, a beautiful family wedding and many hours of chat about the local...

We had the loveliest time chilling out at Mummy Bamboos but mostly we want to say a huge thank you to Rani and Sudanem. Marcia broke her arm when she slipped on the cliff path and they immediately swung into action, driving us around to the hospital, translating and explaining how Indian hospitals work. They could not have done more...
