Beautiful room, with balcony and a hammock. Hot water shower. Cheap, good service, and only 1min walk to the beach. Perfect location if you want to travel around Kerala and come back in a more quite area close to restaurants and the sea.

The mummy is one of those places that you could easily miss if you don't keep your eyes peeled, not because of its size or location but due to its understated simplicity. Varkala itself is a must visit for tourists looking to unwind with some sand and sun. The shore line is gorgeous and full of character, especially further north...

Cons: It took us a while to find the place. Pros: Its close to cliff , barely 2-3 min walk, hence close to the cliff side eateries and massage centres. Like almost all the houses they have hammocks, which are fun. The place is clean and decent. But expect basic stuff, nothing fancy about this place. We didn't expect much...

We stayed at this place for 2 nights and it was very good.. Very near to the cliff, it provided very good value for money for the entire group. Highly recommended place. It might be a bit difficult to locate the place at night, but I would recommend taking the location from the caretaker via google maps is the best...

Mummy bamboo house offers clean and quiet rooms for a very affordable price. The place is well located, very close to the cliff and all the facilities but remains quiet. The house is run by Ranni, a very sweet woman who will make you feel at home. It is very pleasant to seat and spend some time with her and...

I stayed at Mummy Bamboo with my partner for over 2 weeks in April. We arrived in the middle of a torrential storm, and my partner had just slipped a disk in his back. There was a power cut but Mummy still offered a lift to the hospital or the local ayurveadic back specialist. If you choose to eat there,...

Mummy Bamboo House is very very nice place. I lived in the big light room, clean and comfortable. In my room I had lovely balcony, where I read books, drank juice, and relaxed! I felt nice atmosphere, and caring owner. It located very close to the beach and cafe, shops. And especially owner! She is a very kind, smile, open-minded...
