Very good location - and very good value for money! Rooms are small, but one only sleeps there anyway! There are rooms on the botton floor with outdorr seating 'terraces', and on second floor theer are a couple of rooms with balconies. This was my second stay at Mummys, and I'll definately come back!

Stayed 4 nights in a fan room on the second floor. Loved my balcony and hammock. The hot water didn't work the first two days for some reason, but the last two days. At the end off the north cliff, with a perfect location just a few steps to some off the stairs leading down to the beach and the...

The rooms are cheap, simple, nice and clean. I spent 3 nights in this homestay and enjoyed sitting on the veranda. It is located 2 minutes walk from the cliff, which is perfect to reach everything. The hosts are very friendly and I had lots of good chats with them!

We had a bad first experience in another hotel in Varkala before going there but this place made us feel better. It's very near the shore, where everything happens, very near the beach as well. It's clean and simple, not completely quiet but still quite calm. The owner is nice and arranging. All in all, it's a good address with...

Mummy Bamboo was the first place I bumped into after escaping from an annoying commission tuk-tuk driver and it was a great stroke of luck. I paid 500R for a clean modern room with a fab en suite with piping hot shower. Attractive balcony with hammock and efficient wifi. Sandeep was very friendly where nothing was too much trouble. My...

First of all, Thanks to Altaf for referring to this place. We came from Vatakanal to Varkala at 8:30 at night. Met Aunty who treated us like her own children. Very friendly. The place is peaceful and hardly 20 mtrs walk from cliff beach of Varkala. Over all mast.. chill..

We really enjoyed our time at Mummys Bamboo House. We stayed there for 10 days and would have loved to stay longer with Rani and her family. She is a very kind and friendly host. The room was clean, the bathroom was good, a hammok on the balcony, what do you want more? We will definately come back!

Very clean and beautiful rooms, the whole building is very well maintained. Wifi, hot water, room cleaning, drinking water supplied to the room, good beds. Upper rooms w/o AC but lots of windows, so at night nice and well aired. Great for single traveling ladies also, very safe. Seconds from the cliff, yet very quite and peaceful. Great upper rooms...
