Overall Good service. As an old building lack of maintenance is a major drawback.Rent is comparatively affordable and location also good.Staff also very good in attitude.but no power back up and food availability.
I stayed there for 3 days, the place is bang opposite to the Varkala railway station. The room was small but cosy and clean present with all basic amenities. City centre is a 10 min walk, and rickshaw stand and bus stand is right downstairs. The staff is friendly and polite, they also provide basic breakfast options with hot beverages. Please do not expect a five star experience, its a budget friendly place. Travel Tip: The rickshaw drivers are arrogant money sucking leeches, always ask and negotiate the price before the ride. Try not to get them from the stand as they don't bargain at all there.
The hotel is conveniently located right opposite Varkala Railway Station. The city centre is walkable distance. The rickshaw stand is stone throw away from the hotel. The rooms are kept neat and clean. The staff is friendly and kind. Basic food options like toast, omelettes, bread-jam, coffee, tea, milkshakes, etc are offered. Would stay here again.
Clean, tidy rooms, polite & helpful staff, next to the bus and train station so great for onward travel, close to town and short rickshaw ride to varkala beach, temples etc. We have stayed twice now. Now they also do coffee (takeaway cups too) and quick snacks such as omlette downstairs.
