We stayed at Amaaana just for a night and that was the biggest mistake we did. This place is situated amidst a well-maintained cardamom plantation and the surroundings areas soothing as one can imagine. The lush greenery and the day-long chirping of the birds is all you can ask for when you are looking for a break from city life. When we checked in, we were the only guests on the property and that was the icing on the cake. We had all the facilities and the whole place to ourselves. We booked a jacuzzi room and the room was extremely spacious and the views were a kill from all the windows.
Even though we were the only guests that day, the staff did not compromise on the service. They were highly attentive and took care of all our needs. They had activities like fishing, mini golf , carroms and TT for guests to use.
We had breakfast, snacks, and dinner there and the food was fresh and excellent to taste. Snacks we were told at the time of check out were on the house :)

Mr Muthu showed us his pet- a Malabar squirrel which was extremely friendly. Overall we had a fabulous stay here and we would absolutely come back to spend longer time in the near future.

We stayed there for 2 nights during the Pongal holidays. It’s a serene property with modern amenities located at 15 mins drive from Kumily to Kottayam highway. The resort is completely surrounded by jack fruit trees, cardamon and pepper plantation and there is a water body at the centre of the property (its a kind of check dam with 20’ depth)

Very clean and spacious room with nice bath room amenities and jacuzzi. All rooms with a balcony facing the check dam and we felt it’s the awesome tranquil area to relax ; especially at the mornings spectacular bird sounds with a coffee. Really it’s like heaven.

Some decent activities are there to engage with family and kids..

And the service from the restaurant is top class, really we felt that we have been treated with a customised care from Mr. Muthuraj who’s the restatement manager. Heartfelt thanks Muthu and his team ! Food menu also customised from the kitchen and we have tried the special barbecue dinner as well (must be booked in advance). Kudos to the chef

Sure we will visit again..

It's an absolutely stunning resort amidst nature surrounded by pepper and cardamom trees. It is a little far away from the main city which made it the perfect getaway from all the noise and city pollution.
The rooms are exceptionally spacious, very aesthetically done up with a huge balcony facing a beautiful pond.
Staff is super helpful and courteous. We were very well taken care of by Mr. Ram. He even helped us fish in the pond, something I did for the first time in my life. It was quite an experience.
The food at the restaurant is great. A good breakfast spread ranging from a variety of fruits to crispy vadas to very well cooked chicken sausages and super refreshing fruit smoothies.
There is also a good 30-45mins of trek that you can do on the estate which is very well maintained given the huge expanse of trees around.
I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone travelling toThekkady.

My husband and I opted for Amaana Resorts after looking at a lot of properties in Thekkady online .
This is indeed a fabulous property in between cardamom plantations and an ideal place incase you are looking for a quick getaway from city life! Its surrounded by greenery all around & makes you feel instantly relaxed. The rooms are fairly big with a view of plantation but the huge bathrooms with bathtubs/ jacuzzi overlooking the pond below is what makes this place a class apart from usual stays.
Also... the hospitality of the staff was truly amazing! They were really helpful, friendly and always ensured to take care of the little things. Special mention to Muthuraj in F&B and Naijil’s team for the amazing spread of Kerala & Chinese dishes.
In short , we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely revisit!

We had visited Amaana plantation resorts on the weekend of 19-21st of March after seeing online suggestions from Trip Advisor. We spent a very peaceful, relaxing and enjoyable 2 nights here. The number of rooms total 8 or 9, so it never seemed crowded even at full occupancy on a Saturday night. There is a lake around which you can walk, a kids play area with swings, see saw, archery. They also have table tennis, carroms, miniature golf, badminton etc. So there were plenty of options to keep our 6-year old happy and occupied. The resort itself is within a cardamom plantation, so it feels far away from the hustle and bustle of cities and towns and we woke up to the beautiful songs of different birds and spotted many large Malabar squirrels jumping from tree to tree.

Our room had a big round bathtub, though the jacuzzi options were not connected. It definitely makes up for the lack of a swimming pool, infact we felt this was a safer option in the current times, and was one of the reasons we'd chosen this resort instead of one with a pool. The rooms were very clean, and well furnished and maintained. We had all 3 meals from the resort's live kitchen and we really enjoyed all the preparations. The staff, especially Muthu, Ram and Jeeva, were very warm, cordial and helpful.

Note: Some of the rooms do have jacuzzis connected, so do enquire with your preferences.

Amaana is set in a very scenic location, amidst cardamom plantations. The property has enough area for us to move around and does offer small treks within the plantation itself.

The restaurant offers very tasty food and the restaurant manager Mr.Muthu does a very wonderful job and is very hospitable.

We went for a valentine's day trip to Thekkady and the stay at this place was the best part. To start off, the resort has individual villas, giving you more privacy. You'll stay amidst cardamom plantations and a you'll also get a lake view from the balcony. The highlight of this property is the jacuzzi and you get a bathroom as big as the room. We stayed there for only one night, and how we wished if we could've extended the stay here. To make it more special, the employees there, Muthuraj and Ram, arranged a candle light dinner and a valentine special cake for us. Restaurant Services are excellent as well. Decent variety of cuisines available and food was also good. You can go for a stroll around the lake, go fishing and there's also a kids play area. They also provide facility for archery, badminton etc. Would love to visit this place during our next visit as well.

Amaana Resort makes sure to be compliant with covid safety regulations. Clean rooms and spaces. They have few activities which guests can engage in such as fishing, and games. There is a play area which kids would love to be in.Food is also great and the staff really friendly and always ready to serve. The bathroom is another highlight, with built in bath tubs, which kids and adults would throughly enjoy. It was a memorable exp to stay amidst the lush greenery and surrounded by nature's sound. We would want to visit again in future. Due to covid the price is low comparatively, so feel its the right time to visit.

This is a beautiful serene property on a cardamom plantation. The room was spacious and welcoming, very clean, the bed and sitting area were very comfortable and the bathroom had both a tub and large shower. Double doors to the balcony could be left open for a breeze. AC and ceiling fan available to cool the room but we’re not needed. Restaurant had wonderful food, breakfast buffet comes with the room and lunch and dinner were delicious and very reasonably priced. The staff is very welcoming and attentive to whatever you need. Left early one morning and had sandwiches and fruit packed for the journey. It was fun being able to follow a trail through the cardamom fields. Highly recommend.

Kerala has always amazed me with hospitality, this place sets a benchmark.

The moment you step on the property which is a spice plantation in a forested hill, you feel you made the right choice just looking at how beautiful the place is. Every room is so tastefully done, furniture, views, jacuzzi, space, that you are left in an awe.

Every single member of the staff would be there to make your stay comfortable. Even after a lightning strike they sprung into action and made sure no one faces any issues in electricity or connectivity. Thanks to owners for letting the staff run the show, and keeping them together. You always see smiling faces no matter your request.

You would find plenty of flora and fauna including my count of 6 species of birds that made the plantation their home, black giant squirrels, hens, mongoose and snake (creepy but true, the place is in a forest and has a pond)

Nights would be filled with sounds of crickets and days would be filled with sounds of birds, even a The Malabar Whistling Thrush.

Restaurant is regular and not overpriced. The the local delicacies would be best to go for. I frankly only expected local cuisine to be well made but few other things I tried including continental, were really made by heart and soul of chef's expressions of food. Some others were a let down though but fresh and light on stomach.
