We stayed two nights in this cute and nice hotel on the quiet lake road. From our balcony we had a wonderful view of the national park and saw some animals in the morning. Bit of a surprise when some of the animals decided to join us on the balcony! The monkeys were quick and a bit aggressive but since we had no breakfast for them they moved on after we had closed the door. Our room was rather small, we had booked a room with a double bed and an extra bed because we were two adults and two small children. The extra bed was actually a small sofa that we could put next to the double bed. Not the most comfortable but it worked for two nights. The manager was very friendly and accommodating.

I stayed at the Coffee Inn for two nights in February 2023. My room was clean and confortable and all the staff were very helpful and friendly.
I have stayed here before about 20 years ago - at that time they had facilities for providing drinks and snacks. I understand that they are still in the process of getting things up and running after the Covid lockdown - when this is all in place they should be worth a 5-star rating..

A great spot to stay just a few minutes walk from periyar tiger reserve. Comfortable and clean room, fairly priced. Staff were always going out of their way to help me with any questions I had, helping me plan my trip to the hotel and then to my next destination and done so with a smile

I stayed at the Coffee Inn in late July and the whole thing was fantastic. I think I was the first or second person to stay there under its new management and I would recommend it to anyone.
The building is quirky and interesting, the rooms are big and airy with loads of light, comfy beds, a private bathroom and even a window seat so you can lay back and enjoy the view or read your book looking over the park. I spent time looking at the monkeys as they jumped through the trees below my room - brilliant. The cafe downstairs and in the garden is great - it really is a perfect spot for relaxing and is also really handy for getting to the Periyar Park.
The owner was really helpful and friendly and while it was a little more expensive than some of the homestays I would say it was well worth it.

We arrived here from searching online, and luckily they had a room available.
the room was spacious, gorgeous, clean, with a fantastic view of the reserve in which we saw bison, deer and cows roaming, as well as a long tailed monkey in coffee inn's garden!
the staff were helpful and friendly.
Location was great, we could walk within minutes to the entrance of the tiger reserve and aslo into the busier area for shopping and more restaurants.
Would recommend

I was on a business trip and when I first saw the place the facade reminded me of the movie Psycho. Having said that... the place itself is an adventure. The owners have dressed the place with little items that you will find at every turn. The rooms are cozy and comfy and meant for a max of two but they are very well done, and excellent use of space management.

The view from the rooms is incredible with wild animals from the reserve roaming around the area. There are number of places to eat around the area and the inn itself is starting a restaurant.

I would suggest to anyone to go and stay there. You wont be disappointed.
