I really wish I had more stars to give them. We were welcomed by Mr Shree kumar Nair who explained us every facility the resort offered... he arranged all our excursions to his best ability with high end professionals.
Mr Stijo at reception was readily available at every call we made and also looked after housekeeping.
Ms Leena is highly educated in the plantation the resort has. A very warm lady who explained my kids every single plantation and it’s uses. She arranged fishing and made it fun for all of us.
Coming to the food, one doesn’t need to go out even for a single meal. Chef Siva made sure each dish was made to perfection and authentic. Mr Akhil and Mr Sajith were way too hospitable and courteous. The variety , preparation and taste of all the dishes is beyond excellence.
Property is at an excellent location with all same room category. Beautiful lake and hills around. In midst of lush green trees and close to nature. Highly recommended

We had booked the plantars villa for 2 nights and were very delighted with it. The reception staff are very courteous and helpful. Checkin was swift and smooth. We were escorted to our rooms in a golf cart and were offered warm spice concoction which was perfect after our long road trip.
They offer many activities like yoga session, plantation visit, cycling, fishing etc. Best was the plantation visit managed by Leeba who was very knowledgeable and passionately explained us all the spices and flowers grown in their 166 acres plantation. We were surprised to find cloves, jack fruits, pepper, cardamom, coffee, peppermint, cinnamon and loads of other spices in the plantation.
The restaurant area is very huge. The breakfast has selective spread but the live kitchen can manage your ad hoc requests for special dosas, omlettes, french fries, customized teas, coffees etc. Food is good but would suggest to have more options.
They were ready to accept our request even late night which was very helpful while travelling with kids.
The balcony, view and huge bath room with jacuzzi are specially worth mentioning.
You would be delighted to view mountains covered with misty fog, wood peckers working their way on the tall silver oak trees right in front of your balcony with huge fig trees securing your privacy and lots of cuckoos & other exotic birds singing for you. Enjoy this treat sipping warm green tea.
Above picture perfect session is many a times disturbed by the vehicles travelling on the nearby highway which is not visible due to dense tress & plantation of the hotel.
House keeping needs to be improved. House keeping staff are very good but I felt they are short staffed and hence not able to serve to our satisfaction.
Overall a very comfortable stay. Our gratitude to Sreekumar, Sobin & Leeba to make our visit memorable.

Please don't get perpetual by the reviews as they were written before pandemic. Its been 2 months after reopening, we stayed for 2days, had a torrid time in terms of service, food variety, safety, hot water issues.running the show with 6 staff including manager is not worth at all.
feel sorry for the manager who works round the clock to keep things at place(even for food order we have to call him over phone). They have serious serious staff shortage. Just one staff to manage dining.
8.30 am breakfast buffet was not ready, although limited variety available, quantity was not enough for around 20 people who were hurrying for early checkout. few left the hall without eating.
Lid of underground water tank adjacent to swimming pool was unattended and left open, inspite of warning the aftermath of danger for kids, it was left open on my 2nd day too.
Room and bathroom are spacious. Jacuzzi available in all rooms, though hot water was not available during our need.
My kids are allergic to dust. Extra blanket and pillow was too dusty that i needed to give them nebulizer intermittently.
Front desk staffs are polite and friendly.
Kind attention to the management

The most terrible experience I have ever had in a hotel. Don’t get fooled by the reviews, they are Pre Covid and new mgmt have assumed charge and the resort has opened only 1.5 months back. Our booking (I, wife, Parents and a 2 year old kid) was made through Thomas Cook and before coming we checked the reviews and assumed it to be a good one. However, when we checked in, the hotel was completely isolated (ekdam veeraan) and had a deserted look. We enquired about the occupancy and we were informed that they have opened 9 cottages and all are full. However, after eating lunch, we were asked to order for dinner as they bring only limited supplies. I got a bit suspicious. However, we went for sightseeing and when we returned there was only our family in the Hotel. The hotel staff told us that few guests have gone out, few have ordered room service and few are about to check in. We had our food as per our order that we gave at noon. By then one young couple also came in the dining area and after we finished eating, they said that they were waiting for us to finish as they are scared to go to their rooms as there is no one in the resort. By that time, there was no one at the reception and only 1/2 staff in restaurant. We walked together to our rooms, but they were too scared to go to their room. All the other rooms had their light on, so we randomly knocked upon 2-3 rooms continuously but did not get any reply. It seems that the staff had deliberately did so to give a false impression about Hotel occupancy. We were both calling our respective agents and advising them for hotel change at the earliest. However, we did not get any hotel at the night. We moved to our respective rooms and by great difficulty passed the night. The first thing that we did in the morning was to change our Hotel.
If you are alone or a small family, pl pl do not stay here. It’s almost ghostly. There is 1 security guard who would take your luggage, there is no one at the reception after 10 pm and the resort gives a feel that it is locked after 10 pm and all the staff leave the hotel.
There is severe staff shortage and the resort is in dire need of maintenance.
Pl pl pl … stay here at your own risk

Spent two days at Kofiland Kerela. Absolute superb accommodation n excellent service from resort staff. Found kitchen staff very flexible n accommodated suitable vegetarian meals outside of menu. The Manager was very polite n pointed us to deal direct with chef “Shiva” based at the resort.
I would definitely recommend staying at Kofiland.

Nice resort with good staff and facilities.
Good restaurant.
Lake view rooms are all equipped ,calm and quiet.
Kofiland is nearer to thekkady and situated in a coffee plantation and we can experience the stay in a plantation resort.

The stay was excellent. The best part is the construction and the rooms and the ambience it gives you amidst an awesome coffee plantation. The staffs were welcoming and really friendly. Though the swimming pool was under maintenance, we enjoyed the jacuzzi in the bathroom. Food menu includes mostly Kerala delicacies and a few continental options could be added in the future. On the whole we had a great time and we would recommend this place for a good relaxed weekend!

I’ve been to many resorts but never experienced such a poor hospitality and service . They don’t have any amenities and ppl working there aren’t passionate.. though the place was good couldn’t enjoy because of the poor service rendered by them.
Money oriented ppl and not customer friendly.. if you want to enjoy the trip avoid booking here

There is a bit of walk to reach the cottage, but they have golf Carts so that should not be a problem. The cotagges have 5-6 stairs to reach
Yes we have vegetarian menu.
you can book online(cost will be higher) or you'll have to go to Thekkady an hour b4 the start time of the boat, stand in queue and buy the tickets.
Diring peak holiday season it'll b difficult to get tickets.
Very good and spacious rooms with jacuzzi in bathroom .
Nice property and artificial lake with having fusing option also .
"Each cottage has good view but I would recommend cottages in low level as you will have to travel or walk more to reach upper levels."Read full review
