Great experience at this hotel, only two of the six rooms were occupied. The location and ambience is wonderful, you really do feel like royalty once on the island and we were able to watch elephants, deer and gaur from the hotel gardens. The service from staff especially Saji was excellent. To improve the experience you should change the transfer...

The Lake Palace Hotel is located in a national park in a isolated location on a lake in the Ghat Mountains of Southern India. The hotel was originally built as a lake cottage for the Maharaja in the early 20th century shortly after the lake (reservoir) was created. Our room was sumptuous with antique furniture. The food was excellent and...

Fantastic place, in the middle of Perriyar. People are nice and helpful. Rooms a little bit too dark. Probably the only chance to see elephants, far from noisy diesel boats. Negative point : the price. Too expensive for the level of hotel. You will only pay the place, not the hotel service. Whatever, a nice experience in the middle of...

This was a long pending trip and was worth every penny that was spend. We stayed here for 2 nights during the month of May, 2015. Very friendly staff, staff would also help you with arranging for the boat rides. Food is typical Kerala Style, great taste. We saw elephants, Indian Gours and Deers

This resort is a real palace for a most peaceful stay and mind and body relaxation .I stayed for 2 nights at this resort last month. The Lake Palace with only 6 exquisite rooms once used as the Summer Palace by the Kings of Travancore has been most wisely turned by the KTDC into an exclusive and top quality modern resort...

It is expensive, but you do feel rather special disembarking the ferry, when others look on. Service is excellent as you feel like royalty, and the peaceful surroundings make you stop and get and contemplate.

Early Sept'2015, we spend a few days at Thekkady. The first few days we stayed at Aranyanivas and then at The Lake Palace. The food at Aranyanivas was brilliant; children loved the buffet !! The stay at Lake Palace was amazing and the hospitality staff great !! Thanks Mr Saji Mathew and team for making the stay special !!

Lake Palace KTDC is the best properties in Thekkady , its an amazing location which can only be reached by boat . Very well maintained and warm hospitalility staff. Government has done a good job in the upkeep of this property and appointing a strong team led by Shaji Mathews which treat every guest like royalty. Its a once in...

I'd love to keep this a little known secret and not review it, but it wouldn't be fair for the staff and KTDC who strive so hard to keep the customers happy. Please don't stay here looking for wildlife or any other action. This place is to sit back and relax for hours at a time absorbing the nature at...

This is my second visit after 12 years to one of the loveliest lake view property I have ever been to. It’s a Kerala Tourism property, which is very well maintained. The resort has only 6 rooms and thus is quant and private. The rear part of the property however has become tad untidy over the years. Whatever the resort...
