Paradise Plantage is a very private and serene place. Here you can enjoy a real Hideaway from noise and hectic, Totally alone set on a hilltop with stunning view , you hear only birds and dschungel. The historical timber cottages have been translocated and are tastfully furnished and big, You sleep in a Kind of very Cosy Museum. Some are with open bathrooms. We loved to stay in Cinnamon cottage. The staff is great and the Manager will take you on a lot of very non touristic interessting places. Next year there will be a Ayurveda Spa, that is a Great place for total relaxing.Paradise Plantage is a very private place, don’t Expect 5 Star Luxury or touristic possebilities. It is a Great Break on a travelling Tour in a beautyfull nature for relaxing and dicovering the hidden places of Idukki.

We stayed at Paradisa Plantation for 2 days earlier in December (15th to the 17th) - it’s an amazing place to stay and the standards of service and cuisine were the best we experienced during our three and a half weeks travelling around India. Joji is a model General Manager and a man who truly cares about his guests and the quality of their experience staying at the Resort. He took us for a truly lovely walk into the hills which was filled with a mixture of learning about the flora and fauna and spectacular views of the western ghats. Chef Mithun and his supporting team fed us like kings with a varied bill of local fare that truly opened our eyes to the delicious tastes of Keralan food. The accommodation is of a good standard in traditional Keralan bungalows which blend in perfectly with the sub-tropical beauty of the plantation and surrounding hills. If you’re expecting a corporate, ‘5 star luxury experience’ don’t come here. If however you’re looking to experience genuine Keralan hospitality, great food and the beauty of ‘god’s own country’ delivered by staff who really care then definitely do visit Paradisa.

Four of us spent three nights at Paradisa and I don't remember ever being so sad to leave a place when the time came to leave.....fabulous views, complete peace and fantastic food together with tremendous service from the excellent Georgie and his staff all contributed to a memorable stay. The local walks were beautiful and visits to the nearby towns and tea plantations are particularly recommended.

Booked two nights in this stunning location. Genial host Simon and his staff were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation of traditional Keralan bungalows with open air bathroom were unusual but successful. Door to the bathroom a tad noisy....sleep disturbing at times. Food good with generous portions. Stunning views and watched over dinner the controlled burns on the shrub land across the valley. Very quiet with nice pool. all sorts of trips available.

Thank you for choosing to stay at Paradisa and for posting your review.. Apologies for the noisy bathroom door - the wooden hinges are the reason for this. It was a pleasure to have you with us, and we do hope you return.

A perfect quiet escape from noise and busy ness , a handful of ancient wooden bungalows ( recently built with ancient wooden materials ) sits on the side of a hill with stunning views over the plantations and forest below . Simon is the Indian owner and his intervention is always helpful and kindly but for me the star of paradaisa is Georgie the number 2 or 3 who goes about his business in a friendly helpful way and always with a gracious smile. His accompanied walks are a treat ; many Indian guides bluster you with a mass of facts and information well past the point when you can absorb any more : Georgie is a rare guide who intuits the range of interest in the listener and presents information accordingly. A charming man . Otherwise the food is excellent ; the pool is pleasant , the grounds and location are near if not perfect ( can't think how they could be any better ) It's quietness itself so don't expect a party every night although Simon did lay on a fabulous Indian dancer for us one evening
