We arrived at 7pm after a 6 hour train journey to this modern international style of hotel. It was just what we needed, a lovely clean room, great shower and a comfortable bed. We enjoyed a very good buffet supper with a wide choice of food and similarly in the morning a wide choice at the buffet breakfast. The staff were very friendly and we could have not wished for more.

Excellent hotel. Staff could not have been more attentive and helpful. On arrival we were greeted with a welcome drink and bottle of water each. We were then shown to our room on the 14th floor which was more like a suite. The bathroom alone was larger than some hotel rooms, there was also a separate dressing area and desk and sofa in the bedroom. We chose Raviz as our final night of a 3 week holiday and after checking out at 12 they kindly looked after our bags and allowed us use of the pool and bar until we left for the airport later that night for a 3am flight the next morning.

The hotel is at very good location. All the market places are nearby. You are greeted with smiling staff also they provide all the support as per your requirement. Luggage is shifted to your room within few minutes you enter in your room. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Room service is also very quick. Food is very tasty at very reasonable price. Although there are some issues like lobby is small, lift does not work very fast but these can be ignored as Rooms and food service is very good. Breakfast should include some North Indian dishes. Apart from that all the food items are tasty to start your day. Top class service and very polite and Professional staff!!

Just visited the restaurant Keraleeyam with my family for lunch. Good spread and tasty food. After the lunch,we thought of going around the facility especially wanted to spend sometime near the river. The person at the reception stopped us stating security reasons. When we visited Kadavu few years ago, we were allowed to spend time near the river. We understand the security concerns that was stated. However, the message was communicated in an impolite way. It should have been carried out in a professional manner.
Also, for 1 hour boat ride, the charge is Rs. 4000/ hour. Even at places like Kumarakom, we can go for full day houseboat-ride for much economical rates. Please have reasonable rate for boat rides. Expect a customer friendly environment from The Raviz Kadavu Management!

The property was clean and charming. The front desk was pleasing and we didnt had to wait for check-in. Room is very spacious and clean. I use to check each corners, especially I am very concerned about the toilet / bath. The clenliness is commentable. In-room service and the restaurent taff was truely friendly and service oriented. A little improvement can be considered in the taste of food except breakfast. Clenliness in the restaurant also to be enhanced a little. It is not actually inside the restaurant, but the extended areas related to the restaurant. (the balconies). I rated 3 in value, because the food is charged heavily, but the room charges are reasonable.

I am a frequent traveler and always stayed at Raviz every time I reach Calicut. The staff at the reception were always helpful and they always tried to allot me a particular room I preferred to stay. Whenever it was unavailable they made sure I get a free upgrade atleast. Top class Service and professional staff.The best hotel in Calicut.!! Highly recommended :)

Stayed here for one night and had the most unpleasant experience till date.
The hotel is situated in an alley off the main road and does not have a very impressive reception.
Check in was alright. I reached my room and was relaxing on the chair when I heard the door being opened. I initially thought that it was the neighbouring room. Imagine my horror when the door to my room was opened and a middle eastern family along with hotel staff came walking right in. When I asked what was going on, they apologised and left. I went down about 20 minutes later and asked the reception about what happened. Their answer was ridiculous. Apparently the family had lost their keycard and said their room number was XXX (same as mine). The reception has issued them a keycard of my room without checking any details and admitted it was a lapse from their end. I subsequently went back to my room and realized that now I was locked out since the keycard had been disabled (to let the other family in). This needed another trip back to the reception.
Note to hotel : If the reception has made a glaring error like this, it would be in order and courteous to call up your affected guest and explain the situation to them, rather than have your guest run around to get an explanation of a serious security breach. I have lost hotel keycards before and have always been asked to show some ID and verify my identity before being issued a duplicate card.
The rooms are large and spacious, but dated. The airconditioning was so loud that I had to turn it off to get some sleep.
Food in the restaurants was good. The service from the staff in the restaurants was excellent. That is the only thing that was positive during this stay and the reason why i'm not rating this place 1 star.
Definitely not a 5 star hotel as it is made out to be.

Worst experience of my life! My booking was made by the Central Reservation personnel on Thursday, 19th March for Friday, 20th March. Arrived at the hotel was checked in , money taken from my card for room rent and the key card given for us to proceed to the room. Because our baggage hadn't been brought up after ten minutes, we went down to enquire what was happening. only to be told that we could not stay there. Horrible staff with no idea of hospitality at all!

My stay at Hotel Raviz was absolutely exceptional! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and professionalism by the front desk staff, making the check-in process seamless and stress-free.
