Athreya Ayurvedic Centre is an excellent choice for people who wish to seek an experience in a medical resort for body detox , mental/psyche rejuvenation, weight loss and curing ailments which has been deemed ''hopeless' by other systems of medicines and most importantly for those who wish to increase immunity from diseases and wishing to delay the affects of ageing in their mind and body This is owned and run by a family of physicians with 5 generations legacy in Ayurveda healthcare. Panchakarma & Kuti Pravesika Rasayana are the hallmark services of this centre that has 17 cottages and 8 rooms and so it is medium sized medical resort making every client feel lot of personal space Most rooms/cottages face either the paddy fields in november to march segment or the lake in april to october segment.Very clean and serene surroundings and very peaceful 9 kms away from the town of kottayam The food served is vegetarian, herbal drinks are served & doctors monitor the quality of same

I visited Athreya Ayurvedic Centre back at the endof 2018 into 2019 from UK (sorry for late review) Going through some personal problems a close friend who has been there many times recommended me to Dr Sreejit and to have a 21-day Punchakarma treatment. I wasn’t really optimistic until I arrived at the centre one the first day. I felt so welcome and was like being at home. The first meeting with Dr Sreejit & his wife, put me at ease, understanding my needs he swiftly put a plan together and treatment started on the first day. And not only one day, everyday you would have a consultation with either of them to see how the treatments were going and any concerns if any that you may have. The grounds and accommodation were great (one thing I need to add is don’t be expecting a 5* hotel, this is India after all and you need to go with an open mind) The place tranquil, peaceful with views of lush green paddy fields and fresh air. I was assigned two personal therapists throughout my 21-day treatments, they were excellent and very knowledgeable and experienced. All the different treatments you would have will be explained in detail and watching videos of actually Dr sreejit preforming these gave you all you needed as to what to expect in your treatments. All the staff were friendly and so accommodating. I was not disappointed and a life changing experience for me as I felt alive again with recharged batteries. Eagerly looking forward to another visit very soon. I without a doubt would highly recommend Athreya Ayurvedic Centre.

If I could give 10 🌟stars it would be still less for this place. To begin with its a late review as I visited Athreya in the month of January this year. But I owe it to Dr.Sreejit and his dedicated staff for their utmost care and love for their work. I have experienced the same on my first visit as well. But what hit all the right chords in my body and my senses was the natural beauty that surrounds this quaint place. The first 10 days of treatment I was the only guest and that gave me ample time to get one with nature and reboot my body, mind and soul. I had a not so little friend to keep me company during the days - Agnivesh (who is 12 yrs old son of Dr.Sreejit and Dr.Jayalaxmi). It is always intriguing to understand the perspective of things from a young mind. Often times we forget the once positive and confident child we had within us. The attention to detail that Dr.Sreejit has, is well rubbed off on the staff and the stay and treatment always transports you to the peak of your well-being. The post therapy care and advise from Dr.Sreejit even between his super busy schedule is commendable. The knowledge and passion for his work is evident in the treatment structure and in the way he communicates with every guest. A lot of people still think of Ayurveda as either a last resort or medicine for the elderly. What most people do not know is that Ayurveda is a 5000 yr old science studied in depth and by observing living - real people and not by testing medicines on animals before giving it to humans. I am blessed to be from the land of Ayurveda, and even more blessed to have a family who knows and follows the importance and efficacy of Ayurveda. This retreat is going to be a regular thing for myself and my family in order to keep us healthy and happy. And my go to always will be Athreya. Thank You So Much for making my trip worth it in every way.

I visited Athreya Ayurvedic Centre in April 2021. The day I arrived there, I started the treatment straight away. First, they discussed what kinds of treatments I would be receiving. The team there were extremely professional, and the doctors did not leave me in the dark about anything. The doctor explained to me about my diet, Panchakarma treatments, and other habits that would help make my stay as traditional as possible. The room had a homely feel, it was cosy, spotlessly clean and with a beautiful view throughout the centre, and the food was so spiritualized and pure. It was truly an ambient environment, helping to calm the patients' mind. It was all systematic with set diets for everyone uniquely specialized for the patients themselves. When I was in the centre, I felt oblivious to the outside world, like finding a safe sanctuary. All of the herbs and spices used for the medicine are garden-fresh, organic and lovingly grown on the premises. The staff are knowledgeable and experienced, and they truly love what they do. Whenever I had any questions or comments, they listened without hesitation. All through the treatment, I never once felt tired due to the scrumptious, energy-filled vegetarian food. Dr Spsreejit was especially comforting, highly efficient and keen to understand all people and diseases. I have had psoriasis for nine years, and the way he handled this, I am very grateful for it because I am 95% recovered. He was concerned about the patients' wellbeing; he treated everyone as if they were his own children, with tender love and care. I came to Athreya Ayurvedic Centre all the way from New Zealand, yet I never felt that I left home, and I am delighted with how I came back. It is definitely worth the time and money that I spent there. Dr Spsreejit is also researching cancer patients to help others. Athreya is a wonderfully serene, heartfelt and tranquil place.

Athreya is a serene and tranquil space. With services full of heartfelt human touch, Athreya certainly leaves a long-lasting impact on anyone who visits it. The ayurvedic treatments are done with utmost precision under the microscopic observations of Dr. Shrijit. The therapists are educated, regularly trained with updated skills required to ease the treatment procedure by Dr. Shrijit. The food and its menu are really worth cognizing. The guest relation team is 24*7 available for any SOS situation. The cottages are maintained with high hygiene standards. Since space is NABH certified, all the precautionary measures leading to any stressful situation are highly taken care of with updated technology. Language is not at all the problem in Athreya as the guest relation team is present to bridge the conversational gap. I highly recommend Athreya Ayurvedic Centre to all those who wish to have authentic Ayurvedic treatment in Kerala. - Yuvraj M
