The Byke Spice Heritage is a heritage resort located on New Road in Mattancherry, which brings to life age-old traditions and the architectural splendors of Kerala. This heritage hotel in Mattancherry is a century-old home whose walls and courtyards echo the tales of the past. Today the hotel is a heritage hotel that gives glimpses of the rich cultural ethos and traditions through its beautiful wooden carvings and artifacts that are centuries old. The Byke Spice Heritage was made during British eras and now belongs to a landlord who made the Jain Temple [major attraction of fort Kochi] which is situated in same Compound of the Resort.

This is a hidden treasure. We arrived hot and a bit cross frankly but as soon as we walked in it all changed. The place is cool, exceptionally clean, staff are fabulous and food was very good. Right next door was a really helpful pharmacy which seems to stock everything you could need, and there is street food just a few streets away. I loved it in this little town and would definitely come back for longer. It’s an interesting place architecturally but also because 4 major religions all coexist within streets of each other and all offer something amazing to the cultural experience of the area. Special mention to the housekeeping staff who do a really good job and the lady manager who was so helpful and kind to us.

I visiited the Byke Spice Heritage in the end of my trip in the beginning of February 2020. I was a woman traveling alone by that time - would like to mention that I felt very comfortable and safe at this place. If I ever visit Kochi again, I will definitely go back to the Byke Spice. The service is absolutely impeccable, I have never experienced hospitality like this before - I really want to point that out. Bravo! The room was exceptionally spacious and had beautiful interior. It was perfectly clean, too. Last but not least, the food is delicious. And all this for a very affordable price. Thank you very much to all the staff, you all are doing an amazing job.

we stayed at the Byke Spice Heritage Hotel for 2 nights and absolutely loved it! The customer service was on point, the staff was so sweet and helpful and the room we stayed in was beautiful. It was value for money and we recommend this place anyone who is confused about where to stay in Kochi. The Byke Spice Heritage is a beautiful old traditional resort set in Central Mattencherry in a really good location I stayed there for 2 days and will definitely come back when I am in Fort Kochi The staff are so helpful and so accomodating My room was nice and clean and comfortable plus the food was really nice A treat was to have a swim every day in the swimming pool Thankyou for a lovely time ☺

The room was good. Location was within the city and nice neighbourhood. It was calm inside the resort. The most beautiful thing is the way the staff treated us was fantastic! They were very informative and knowledgeable. Helped us in all possible manner. Met the Boss as well who was down to earth nature. Overall q very nice experience. Also, the people in Kerala are very helping people. We get lot of Vegetarian restaurants within few meters and the restaurant itself is good for food. Thank you team Resort. We will visit your place soon.
