Such a beautiful stay with lovely hosts. It's very peaceful and the surroundings are so pleasant. Rooms are very clean and love that fragrance of old wood. We had an amazing view with huge class wall opening up to some beautifully arranged plantations. Thanks Francis for hosting us
The moment you walk in, the place exudes an aesthetic feel and has a rustic look, which is what makes it very attractive. For a slightly finicky traveller like me, the toilet is clean and sheets are fresh from the laundry. It’s also very strategically located and close to the waters. Must visit is what I’d say.
A good location for seeing places of interest in Fort Kochi, near shops, restaurants and beach. Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Basic rooms but with everything you need, including a good shower, TV, tea and coffee.
We had a day to stopover at Kochi on our way to Kumarakom. Booked a basic budget room with AC. The Hotel was exactly what is described of it, boutique. The design elements blend organically, nothing is out of place. The stairs, artwork, curios, decor, a beautiful green patch are all in perfect balance & characterise Niyati. We enjoyed the simple breakfast, fresh from the Adukkalai (kitchen) with choices of South Indian fare or toasts with eggs. The rooms are clean with comfortable beds to sleep, well maintained toilets and showers. Niyati is a great choice for travellers wanting to explore Fort Kochi & is an extension of the old world charm of this part of town. You can walk around and explore the fishing area, offers a choice of cafes, cycle or walking trails and shopping choices all in close quarters. Hire an autorickshaw to wade through the lanes to make a trip to Jew Town visiting the spice bazaar, the palace & synagogue, shopping for curios/antiques or simply sip your fav beverage from the cafes watching the street as time passes by. The staff at Niyati are warm, friendly & non-intrusive. We will make another trip to Fort Kochi to experience the stay in one of the rooms that has a large window to the garden below.…
Niyati is a very pretty place. Peaceful and beautiful. would defnitely go there anytime we visit fort cochin. The hosts are realy kind and helpful. Rooms are clean and tidy and the one with the garden view on top was the favorite.
We enjoyed our stay here. The room was cozy and the staff was very nice and the breakfast was great. The location is great. It's right in the centre of fort Kochi... and most places are walking distance.
Niyati is a charming boutique hotel with a range of rooms (from bare bones with no a/c to boutique rooms with simple but lovely decor and most importantly a/c). Fort Kochi is hot, so we felt the a/c rooms were a must! We also very much liked the shared spaces: the restaurant and the rooftop lounge area. And the location is great, just a few minutes to a range of restaurants, cafes, shops, the waterfront, and a fabulous park for anyone with littles. They also very kindly arranged a car to the airport for us. Breakfast was simple but good - a typical Kerala meal, coffee or tea. They were thoughtful to accommodate our children and make them eggs and toast. Guests ranged from young singles and couples to families to seniors, a nice and eclectic mix. Recommendation: best meal of our week-plus stay in Kerala (in three different locations) was dinner at the Old Harbour Hotel, the chef there is absolutely fabulous and prices are reasonable. The mosquitos were something to fend off, but it's not specific to Niyati but the entire area. Bring repellant to Kochi! There were a few small issues with our rooms but overall we had a really lovely experience and shared the room issues with the hotel so they can address them for future guests. My only suggestion would be to have a comfortable English speaker at the desk for arrivals. Most of the guests seemed to be foreigners, like us, and when we arrived and checked in the young man at the desk, while friendly, had very limited English.…
Our stay at Niyati Boutique stay was nothing short of amazing. The rooms clean, beds comfortable, art - intriguing and all things wonderful. The location is excellent and the breakfast served was delicious too. Look forward to visiting again.
Great location in this small boutique homestay type hotel. Our room had an ensuite with a shower and AC. Breakfast was lovely Indian cuisine. Never knew quite what we were going to get but this added to the fun of it. Some others opted for omelettes if you preferred something non Indian.
I arrived after train journey . The hotel is beautiful . They could not find my booking through Booking .com and was given a small room . This room was very basic but very clean . I was assured I'd be given the right room in the morning . I was shown the room I'd booked in the morning. I decided it was just too basic ( my own fault for booking the basic room ) . I was then kindly moved to a beautiful room on the ground floor . On departing I wasn't charged for the first night in the small basic room . Breakfast is basic but nice . All the staff are really lovely , Francis has done a great job and all was great . Maybe just a small improvement to breakfast , include some fruit and yogurt
