My wife and I visited Nimmy and Paul's B&B to undertake a Cooking Class as part of our luxury guided tour of India. Walking through the doors of the white two storey home, we felt that we had entered a film set and restaurant. That is exactly what it turned out to be. A very professional presentation of the spice culture of the Kerala Region followed. We were enthralled by our teacher pouring spice into pans and with a few shakes of a spatula, mysterious fragrances wafted around the room. It was with great excitement that we learnt that all the meals made on that day would be served as our lunch. Paul was a gracious host and supported Nimmy in sharing her cooking expertise with us. A group of able assistants helped prepare food in a large kitchen adjoining the room containing the presentation cook top, so there would definitely be enough food for a coach load of hungry tourists. We were very pleased with the lesson, the booklet and the delightful meal. A visit to this cooking class is highly recommended.

Nimmy and Paul are so one of a kind you can’t really appreciate it until you experience it. We were two of a group of twenty who benefited from Nimmy and Paul’s gracious welcome, their new home, up close and personal lessons on Southern Indian cooking and a friendliness that is beyond compare. Nimmy is a natural teacher, cook, and transparent person; one of a kind. She has a set up that can accommodate up to about 25 yo 30 people, a camera over her cooktop and a flat screen to show what she is doing, and a mike turned on so all can here. She is patient in explaining what she is doing and cooks an entire meal for all right in front of you. Questions about food elements and possible substitutions are handled with grace and understanding. This is a later in life career for Nimmy who has found herself offering a wonderful service, a lesson in life and cooking and food that she speaks to from the heart. While she has a persona that is serious and focused when teaching and cooking, when alone or one on one she is the kind, listening, and caring person that you would anticipate. You can find more on their web site...plus their numerous references regarding news outlets and other Food and Cooking experts comments on how special Nimmy and Paul really are. If you get to the Kerala state in the south of India, you MUST make time to spend a meal with Nimmy and Paul, but plan ahead to make reservations; they are VERY BUSY!!

Came to this beautiful house to see a cooking demonstration. We’ll set up and was given a booklet with the recipes in to follow. Very professional and we then got to have the food for lunch. Interesting experience.

This is a must do if you'd like to learn a little more about Southern Indian cuisine. Didn't stay here, but had a delicious lunch served in a cool, clean, comfortable dining area and then were treated to Nimmy's entertaining and informative cooking class. Delicious and informative experience.

We went for a cookery class. Nimmy was brilliant at explaining everything. She and Paul welcomed us into their home and were friendly and courteous. Nimmy spoke about blending spices and what goes well with each dish. She talked about using spices with fruit and freezing them to help keep them longer. Each of the dishes created were a pleasure and danced beautifully on the palette. I learnt so much and will use the recipe book on my return home. Thank you.

Nimmy and Paul have a beautiful new home that they open for cooking lessons with a lunch to follow. We had this included as part of a tour of southern India and thoroughly enjoyed Nimmy and Paul's gracious hospitality. The cooking demonstration was very informative and skillfully presented. It gave us insight as to the cuisine we had been happily enjoying during our time in Kerala. The lunch was absolutely delicious and beautiful. Vegan diners were easily accommodated. Going to Nimmy and Paul's provided a delicious memory of our time in India.

What a treat to be welcomed to a private home, given a cooking demonstration and a delicious lunch. All very Indian. Our hostess , Nimmy was so interesting and professional. She will tell you, 'I am not a trained chef'. That's ok. We still learned how to make Meenmolee. And the afternoon just kept getting better.

Our group visited Nimmy for a cooking demonstration. She tailors her recipes so that tourists will try it at home. She made a shrimp dish for our group as well as some coconut infused dishes. She puts everyone at ease with her candor about her life. I was very impressed that she makes her own coconut milk and coconut oil. That is a very labor intensive job.

Nimmy has been demonstrating the preparation of local cuisine for years. She does so now in a new, large, efficient space adjacent to her home. It is clean and welcoming. The demonstration is straight forward and Nimmy will answer your questions but usually with a sarcastic edge. She provides a booklet of recipes which is a nice touch. Paul, her husband, is kind, but not involved in the demonstration. After the cooking we enjoyed several dishes which were delicious. Nimmy has a real sense for balance and subtlety in her cooking. Not so much while interacting with her guests (who are paying a pretty penny for her presence). Nimmy is proud and accomplished. I sense she is tired of the daily exposure to tourists and their bad manners. Perhaps it’s time for a break to write a cookbook that would be very well received! NB Do not dare be late. You will feel her wrath for an hour into your time there. Nimmy does not join for the meal. Beer and wine not offered.

We went to Nimmy Paul's as part of our 'spice trail' tour. Nimmy was really lovely and very helpful. We took notes and took part in the cooking as well. The king prawns we used were absolutely huge! Nimmy knows her stuff, but did explain that she found the classes so tiring now so had scaled back somewhat. After we had made our food, we sat with Nimmy' s Husband Paul, as we ate. They also have a lovely rescue cat called Aasha who was on prawn patrol, and let us know he was there!
