At the heart of ancient Fort Cochin, Kerala, a place that exudes history and culture, is the 'Old Harbour Hotel.' A 300 year-old building that has for long been a heritage monument of this town, now reopened as a boutique hotel. Built in the Dutch style of architecture with hints of Portuguese influences, it was the first hotel of old Cochin. Later it remained a residential home to employees of English Tea broking firms until it was left unused for a period of time.

From me booking via email from Australia to our check out, my dealings with Edgar Pinto, the host of this beautifully restored hotel were flawless. We arrived only 2 weeks into the hotel being open, but had no complaints. Our room was fantastically decorated, the lawn and pool

As a treat we stayed at this hotel for our last night in Fort Cochin and were not disappointed. This is a new venture for Edgar of the Raintree Lodge and the hotel has now been open for 1 month. It is obviously more up market than the Raintree Lodge but still offers good value

We were planning on staying at Edgar's other property - the Raintree- but that was full, so we decided to spend a little extra and try out his new property. Glad we did. While it is still being fine-tuned (ac, landscaping, problems with crows etc) the stay was overall a very

Hi, I don't know, because I stayed in a garden room. Nevertheless don't Panic, where ever you stay in Old Harbour, every room will be fine. Regards Andreas

I don't think we ever looked out of the window, so maybe there wasn't a view, but, during the day, we were always out, so it wouldn't have made any difference what the view was anyway. And why would you be sitting in your room? You should be out exploring the local neighbourhood.......

The suites are very large. The one we stayed in had a large king and a daybed. I believe they can accommodate additional bed there, but better check with property. They are very helpful and as this is a rather small property, they are very flexible as well. Highly recommended

Not at all! We stayed in September and there were absolutely no issues, except for the lack of tourists, as most have (sadly) cancelled their trips.
