#19 of 616 in Kochi (Cochin)
At the heart of ancient Fort Cochin, Kerala, a place that exudes history and culture, is the 'Old Harbour Hotel.' A 300 year-old building that has for long been a heritage monument of this town, now reopened as a boutique hotel. Built in the Dutch style of architecture with hints of Portuguese influences, it was the first hotel of old Cochin. Later it remained a residential home to employees of English Tea broking firms until it was left unused for a period of time.

The Old Harbour Hotel is an amazing place. A tranquil oasis in the heart of Fort Kochi right next to the old Chinese fishing nets and Princess Street with lots of shops and restaurants. The staff are wonderful and we very well looked after by the whole team throughout our stay. The breakfast and dinner were delicious - we loved the princess chocolate dessert. Rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. The greenery of the garden and pool was so relaxing! We hope to return again in the future. We would highly recommend this lovely hotel.

This is a beautifully done hotel with plenty of artistically done elements and corners. However the rooms need a little more thought and details to take care of functionality and comfort. The food was average but freshly cooked. Breakfasts were slow and the staff struggled bringing orders in to tables. I do appreciate the customized breakfasts as opposed to buffets that are wasteful. The hotel is made warm and comfortable by the many dogs and cats that always around. We found that charming and inclusive.

It is unfair to judge a hotel based on claims of a telephone call. Stay with us and then write a review and we will respect your opinion.

We didn’t stay here, but stopped by every afternoon for drinks and snacks at their restaurant overlooking the pool and gardens. The hotel is very near the Chinese fishing nets and a world away from the hustle and bustle of Fort Kochi. Service is very good and the ambiance is relaxing.

Superbly run and with the best food of our tour of Southern India. The upstairs room was superior and well worth the extra cost being spacious and furnished in colonial style. A veranda overlooks a pretty courtyard. The garden attractive where one can eat.
