Lots of beautiful spaces to choose from. Each suite has its own intimate day bed & lounge areas & large comfortable bedrooms with air conditioning and ceiling fans. Breakfast is served fresh under the rooftop verandah after you have had a wonderful sleep breathing in fresh Sea breezes. During festival times select front rooms, with a balcony. It was delightful to be able to see what is happening in the street below! Especially during the New Year festival period. A local family run business, with very caring, polite & helpful staff on hand to be of assistance. Wonderful location, with local hospitality!
This place is ideal for exploring Fort Kochi. It is centrally placed without being too noisy. The rooms were large and clean although the outlook is on to a wall which has very helpfully had a mural painted on it to brighten it up. The staff were super helpful and pleasant. We didn’t have breakfast as had to leave early the next day for a plane so cannot comment on that but they made us a packed breakfast. The restaurant attached is very popular and quite expensive for what it is but the food is very good. It is worth booking a table here as big groups seem to use it and you cannot assume you will get a seat.
This hotel in the heart of fort Cochin has its pros and cons. Therefore, and also as a help for other travellers, we state our impressions. Con - Visibly sticky and dirty hallways, room floor and breakfast terrace - The Bathrooms has a small opening in the wall with only a Moskito net leading directly to the outside- the niche between the houses. It smells damp, mouldy and most of all of the kitchen below (their ventilator) - very dirty towels and footmat in the bathroom. We asked the cleaning lady to change them. The next ones coming were a bit better - but with visible black eyeshadow remains of our predecessors and large blue stains... (did not use those...) - stains on the baths walls - stains on the bed‘s headpost - very simple breakfast. Dirty dishes. - Only instant coffee powder and tea bags (when we asked for a masala tea we were very directly shown the nescoffee- ‚here is your coffee‘) Pro - large room, beautiful colonial style furniture, good fridge, new aircon - Location five minutes to all major sightseeing spots (next to Vasco da gamas house) - room service was helpful after requesting to clean our floor - very clean bedlinnen, good bed - new flat screen tv - small balcony - very nice shower …
Even though it was a one night stay they showered a great hospitality. In restaurant the soup was outstanding. I could say this is the best soup I ever had in Kerala. Breakfast was basic but some south Indian options are available on request. The hotel closer to major attractions in Fort Kochi also it has a traditional interior mainly wooden furniture/staircases etc. It has a small library for the book worms.
We stayed for two nights October 2019. The hotel is in a good location and everything you want to see in Fort Kochi is a few minutes walk away.. Rooms were lovely, clean and well decorated. Enjoyed Breakfast on the pretty rooftop and I felt for the price you got a good selection of food and the coffee was great. Staff were polite, courteous and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
