Fort Manor is a well-maintained, well-run hotel in the center of Fort Kochi, but away from the noisy street, so all the new year cacophony (annual carnival, Pappanji effigy burning and the unbelievably humongous & boisterous crowds) didn't reach our room (we were there for the 2022-23 new year). What stood out was hotel manager Abhilash's kind gesture of allowing us to stay on for an extra 4 hours (at no cost), because of the gap between our hotel checkout and airport check in. Altogether our Fort Manor stay was a quite a nice experience.
I must say, Hotel Fort Manor is the worst property for decent people. I booked this property on makemytrip and paid the whole amount in advance. First problem: When I reached the hotel, the hotel Manger Vishnu said, we can not let you in on the price, which you paid on Make my trip. I connected with the customer care executive of MMT and they said, I should pay the amount he is asking for and get the GST Invoice and submit it to the MMT. MMT will refund the price. So, I agree on paying the unfair extra amount. Second problem: Vishnu was drunk that time and he kept on blabbering something in his Malyalam. Third problem: Room was pathetic. There were mosquitoes all around and few rats. I complained Vishnu on which he did not react. It was quite surprising. Fourth problem: There is no restaurant in the hotel. Vishnu charged me for the water of bottle, which guests usually get free. One guest gets one water bottle per day. Fifth problem: When l checked out from the room, I asked for the GST invoice, as I had to submit it to the MMT for the refund. Vishnu, as usual was drunk and in no sense, did not give me the GST. He said, printing machine is not working and he would surely send the GST Invoice via Whatsapp. sixth problem: Once I came back to my home, I checked that, my mobile charger and Rs 1500 were missing from my luggage. I remember, in the evening, I went outside to roam around and my phone charger and purse were on the table. seventh problem: I called Vishnu and reported about this, he said, we are not responsible for any loss of luggage. eighth problem: Till now, he has not provided me the GST Invoice and now he not picking up my call. What a pathetic person he is/ Clear enough, Fort Manor and its employee are fraudster, drunkard and thief. I recommend no one, specially with family, to go to this hotel. There are many good properties in the area. You can go for them.…
At Fort Kochi Manor we spent our last night of a three week journey through Kerala. It was also one of the most expensive nights, but price/performance is absolutely ok. We didn't make a reservation and were welcomed friendly. In one hour a massage was organized for us, which was done very professionally by father (for my husband) and his daughter (for me). Also the transport to the airport early in the morngin worked out wonderfully. A nice end of our holidays, in a very clean, comfortable, cool room. Everything was perfect. Thanks a lot!
the location is excellent and the crew is very nice and welcoming. the only problem is their is no elevator . the room was clean and good smelling . we enjoy the breakfast on the roof and the location near the central bus station.
Cancelled our group of 15 booking without notice when we enquired few days before so cannot be certain of room Do not recommend as group had to get another hotel at late stage and ended up in poor hotel with less facilities
The biggest plus point of the hotel is its location... very close to many of the must see sights in the Fort Kochi area. Hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly. Mr. Rajesh Rajan the GM is very proactive and takes time out from his busy schedule to interact with the guests. They also serve a nice healthy breakfast.
Fort Manor was a nice “home away from home” for my four day trip to Kochi. My room was clean and pleasant, and the crew at the front desk was very helpful in assisting me with everything I needed. Everyone working there was incredibly friendly and took great care of me. Thanks Fort Manor for a wonderful stay in lovely Kochi.
Thanks the the help of pinky, the manager of fort manor we stay there for 2 night with a group of 14 people. We all had the most pleasant time. Breakfast was delicious and the location is outstanding. Above all customer service was great and I highly recommend staying there - say hi to pinky from me!
My friend and I recently stayed at the Fort Manor in Kochi on a recommendation from my husband. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were excellent. In the morning they provided a fresh breakfast (made to order) on the cool rooftop. Pinky was also very helpful- preparing a map of the key highlights and organised a lovely (and very safe) taxi ride for us all the way to a remote town out of Coimbatore. Recommend for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Kochi.
We booked here for 3 nights in April 2019, we asked for a room with 2 single beds, when we arrived the hotel was almost empty so the manager "Pinky" upgraded us to a very large room with King size bed. The room had a balcony, AC a TV we never used, the room was dated but clean. The location of the hotel was hard to find on GPS for our driver, he had to call the hotel for directions. Once you find the hotel it is close to most amenities. Pinky organised a driver for us to travel to Munnar to see the tea plantations. We only stayed two of the three nights as we did an overnight in Munnar. This hotel was fine for this leg of our trip.
