This CGH Earth property is moored on a historic stretch of Cochin's famed harbour, The Brunton Boatyard Hotel was resurrected from the remains of a Victorian shipyard. Today, it gives the modern traveller a unique opportunity to dwell amidst the shadow plays of 19th-century history. 22 of the hotel's 26 rooms overlook the sea, and so, by happy circumstance, do the en-suite bathrooms. The Brunton Boatyard Hotel is your chance to dine from, literally, a melting pot. All the cultures that came to the Malabar Coast over three centuries can be sampled in a single evening. Armed with a map and some comfortable footwear, you can tour the historic Fort Cochin area where the hotel stands. Sadly, little remains of the fort itself, but the other legacies of history are everywhere.

Hotel's Favourite
Brunton Boatyard, a CGH Hotel is a great property to stay. With its heritage feel, clean and natural surroundings facing the backwaters, it's a perfect place to stay. The rooms and bathrooms are maintained spic and span. The restaurant serves tasty food. The evening boat cruise and the morning heritage walk makes the stay more memorable. Our guide Eugene made the heritage walk interesting with the stories and witty remarks. Special thanks to the front office managers Ronald and Jennifer who took great care and made our stay comfortable.

Stayed in Brunton Boatyard- great hospitality- the best I have experienced during our stay in many places in India. Staff were very helpful and courteous. The food is great and authentic. Rooms were clean and had a great time. Recommend this place

Disappointed , in researching this part of our trip extensively - chose this hotel . I’m sorry to say the good & staff let it down the breakfast was a let down and the meal on an evening was terrible ( Luke warm or over cooked ) seemed like there was a problem in the kitchen. The hotel manager & reception team were more than helpful and thank them for helping us with the next leg of our journey. The ferry boat next to the hotel was a little noisy & smelly but it was the staff in the hotel that was the most annoying- need lots of training & all far too young .

Just stayed here, Arun, Hotel Manager, was wonderful. He treated us like Royalty. The staff goes out of their way to make us feel welcome. The wonderful staff is a major asset to this hotel. The rooms are beautiful and the Four Poster Beds, exremely comfortable. We had a nice Breakfast, the cappuccino was perfect. Dinner was fabulous..The Afternoon Tea was a welcome surprise. The sunset cruise was quite lovely.

The hotel has a lovely atmosphere. The rooms are in an older and very authentic and charming style. They are very clean and the housekeeping is meticulous. The bed is superb. Special mention to the fabulous Arun at reception who knows everything and everyone. Special mention also to Athira who is so smart and always ready to help and have a friendly conversation.

Booked for fine dining in the History restaurant and received excellent service from all, especially Abhinav. Food was deliciously cooked by Pranav. A deliciously light banana flower croquette followed by the signature Mutton curry was truly first class!

I don’t have words enough to describe my experience in Brunton Boatyard in Fort Kochi. It’s such a wonderful, amazing and peaceful place. The location just in front of the sea is just perfect from early morning to late evening. Food in all their restaurants is delicious, the room are amazing and so clean. Most of all, the staff is so helpful, welcoming. I can’t remember all their names, but thank you to Vivey, Anandhu, Abhinav, Adithya, Sri Hari and all the staff I’ve met during my stay. This hotel is an absolute gem. The building, a restored colonial boatyard, is steeped in history, the accommodation is wonderful, the food delicious and the staff are friendly, helpful and couldn’t have been more welcoming towards my two children and I. It felt like a home away from home We stayed for nine days and it felt like one of the most relaxing holidays we’ve had. Yoga, delicious food, cooking demonstrations, a sunset cruise and a beautiful pool that we relaxed by. The hotel is in a busy port, but this provided colour and interest, particularly for my two teen boys who never tired of spotting the various boats sailing by There’s so much care and attention taken over everything at The Brunton Boatyard that it feels perfect. Our favourite experience at the hotel was going to breakfast where the food is varied and delicious and the staff remembered our favourite dishes after day two. Thanks to all the staff at the hotel for making our visit so special…
