Beautiful hotel and wonderful staff. The patio is like an oasis with lots of green and beautiful sculptures, the rooms have air conditioning and are super clean and confortable. Nisha at the front desk is so kind and will help you organise transportation to and from the airport or if you decide to leave Cochin and explore other parts of the region. A huge thanks to my drivers Venu and Sibi who were so accomodating and respectful. I really enjoyed my trip to and from Munnar with them. You can have ayurvedic massages at the spa, they are soooo good ! The restaurant is beautiful and the food is really tasty (you can have food that is actually not hot). Thanks to all the staff and specially to Sunny who was so kind to me. You are all amazing !!!! I will definitely come back to this hotel !!!

We had four days of treatment at Fort House Hotel, renting a hotel nearby and coming for three hours of therapy every day. It was a good one, and you could feel the difference in your body from the first time you tried it. We came to try their treatment because I had read so much about it. Very knowledgeable about Ayurveda and other therapies. We had a whole body deep tissue massage and a Kiri herbal treatment with hot oil. To the lovely staff and the lovely setting, The decorations are very calming and relaxing. Also recommend trying the lunch Very, Very, Very tasty food, especially the coconut rice Compared to other Ayurveda clinics, the price is relatively high, but the quality and cleanliness of the facility make it worthwhile. A minor point. Bring your towel and shampoo if you want to bathe following the treatment. This quaint hotel is at the end of Fort Kochi, very close to the jetty boarding. Old wooden style colonial look. Rooms are cosy, but can do with more direct sunlight, I feel. Surrounded by lush trees and plants, it’s very peaceful. Their dining area is an open space and one can relax there for hours reading something. Breakfast was good and ample, though their veg stew was a bit sweet. I think they are more known for their sea food. There are a few pure vegetarian restaurants around that serve good food. Nisha, at the reception was a great help and very warm. Staff was very polite, always smiling.

The hotel is arranged around an enclosed courtyard setting, with plenty of greenery and shade; and its restaurant overlooks the harbour. It is extremely well located in relation to the waterfront, restaurants and the ferry terminal. The guest accommodation is on two levels; with a sitting out area for each room along a long covered verandah. We had an upstairs room, which was spacious and also we felt was the preferable option, as one was able to view the surroundings below, without being disturbed by passing guests and other visitors. The staff were all extremely pleasant and helpful. They were able to make recommendations and also organised a harbour cruise from for us from the hotel dock - which we enjoyed tremendously. The food in the restaurant was well cooked, varied and very tasty.

We stayed here for two nights. This hotel is in a lovely location on the waterfront and close to Fort Kochi. It has a beautiful garden between the two wings of the hotel. There is a walkway outside the rooms which overlooks the garden. The restaurant is located on a terrace and deck overlooking the water. All of the staff were very welcoming and very friendly. Our room was a good size, clean and quite minimalist. It had a large, comfortable bed, but there wasn't much storage space for clothes. We felt it was let down a bit by the bathroom which was a quite basic and had pipework that constantly leaked. Overall, we liked this hotel, it had an atmosphere of calm. It was like a little oasis in city.

This is one of our favorite hotels in all of South India – the location is excellent and the setting is superb, right on the water in Kochi’s fort area and accessible to all major sites a visitor might wish to see. The serene and peaceful garden is a real treat, as are the chairs along the balcony where one can take in the lovely flora. The fantastic restaurant turns out carefully prepared dishes with ultra-fresh ingredients and bright flavors—the breakfast is outstanding and the views from the restaurant are just as incredible. The rooms themselves are well-appointed with traditional wood and tile. The facilities are very inviting and clean including nice toiletries in the beautiful bathrooms, laundry, room service, and ayurvedic massage and spa. Staff is professional and caring and goes out of their way to make your stay comfortable and relaxing—truly superb in all ways, a hidden gem.

I was looking for a good seafood restaurant for lunch however wanted to avoid spicy fiery food. After some research online I decided to visit this restaurant. I was so happy on my decision because the food here completely energized me after touring under the scorching sun. It was a hot and sweltering day but on entering the hotel I felt I was in amazon. Huge trees and green foliage was all around. The entire area was shaded, cool and calm. A pathway led us to the restaurant and voila ! It was waterfront facing. What a sight ! Then comes the food part. The crab roast was the highlight of my meal. The spice level was negligible yet the dish was so flavorful and light. Seafoods served were completely fresh. Pricing is not expensive I felt. A must visit place for dining.

Fort Cochin as a tourist destination has become swamped with local shops and weekend revellers. If you want to experience the old ambience just book into this hotel. I recommend two nights. Pros : Magnificient sunrise and sunset from the private dock. Breakfast on the deck Dinner in the dock. Clean safe rooms with character Friendly management All sights and Vypeen ferry is a quick stroll away. There are better eateries outside. TIP : There is a hole in the wall snack center on the Hotel's perimeter wall. Make sure you taste the inexpensive banana fritters and tea. The hotels seems to have thoughfully provided for car drivers of guests. But nothing prevents YOU from trying it. Cons : Mediocre breakfast. Good menu but bad delivery. Simple appam and stew feels like it has been made by some non-local trainee. The blankets in the room area a joke. If you run the AC and try to cozy up with the thin sheets , best of luck sir. A dhoti or saree will do a better job. Beware of hordes of diners who arrive every evening. So book your table early. Dinner is better than breakfast.
