Lovely place, clean comfortable rooms- friendly staff - good menu and spa. the pool was not suitable to swim and looked a bit murky. They had a good well stocked bar and live Indian music- a bit too loud at times. Little quiet areas to sit quietly and read a book. Overall it was a lovely stay

We were really looking forward to our stay at Malabar House as our travel company and graded it as " first class" but things didn't start too well when we arrived and the front desk seemed a bit fraught. Our room wasn't ready so they suggested we went to the bar and mumbled something about a welcome drink that didn't...

We chose this place over the Internet because the rooms appealed to me greatly and also because we wanted to make our first anniversary really perfect. It's a quaint little hotel with some exceptional service and personal hospitality.

It is a calm and quiet place. The restaurant is open design and this led to entry of flies to disturb you while you eat. We ordered sea food. The Tiger prawns byriyani was good. So also Tiger prawn Molly with Appam. The Sea food thali spread was equally good. Overall Food was excellant

A oasis of calm close to hustle and bustle of Kochi city. This is a converted colonial building on a large open square close to the Dutch church. A good base to explore. It's a quiet and calm up market guesthouse with stylish antique and modern art decorations. Although there's no view or water frontage, at the centre of the...

Great place to stay. Great food, wonderful courtyard in which to eat and amazing musicians each night. Only slight criticism was that the windows were opaque as they overlooked the courtyard. Not much they could do about this but worth noting if you like a view.

We were given a warm welcome and shown to our comfortable room with a four poster bed and a nice large bathroom. We had a view towards the small swimming pool and an outdoor seating area to enjoy a drink. The evening restuarant was busy both nights but we were able to sit outside and enjoy our meals listening to...

Spent 3 nights there. Our room was elegant, simply designed with good artwork. What was annoying was that in a hotel of this level, there was no planning for the additional charging points required today for all our devices today. A double room needs to have adequate charging points next to the bed side tables, our room had none. The...

We spent two nights at Malabar House. The restaurant is in a beautiful setting around a pool. The head waiter, Arun Joy ( I hope I have his name is correct). was infinitely attentive and eager that you should enjoy the very fine cuisine. We had two enchanted evenings.

Cochin is a colorful old city on southwest coast of India, in Kerala state. Malabar House is a lovely small hotel in the old city, central to all interesting sites. It is charming and exceptionally well managed with a far above average restaurant, a small swimming pool, and staff that goes of its way to please. We had to change...
