We only stayed here for one night but we really enjoyed our time at Tissa's Inn. The location is perfect as it is only about a 15 minute walk to the beach promenade area. The welcome is very warm and we instantly felt at home here. We were on the ground floor next to reception and close to the road...

The staff helped make our stay great. The location is very central and the staff are friendly, helpful and very accommodating. My father had specific dietary requirements and Jerry was kind enough to make him his own meal.

Very helpful staff that speak great English. This is a top hotel at a reasonable price. The Chef also came out as we checked in and we selected a fish dish including the amount of spice for dinner. He then went out and purchased the wonderful fresh fish. It was excellent. They also arranged tickets for the dance and helped...

While I didn't stay at the Inn itself, I did do a cooking class with Jerry, the chef of Tissa's Inn. It was fantastic! He showed me how to make traditional Keralan curries and marinades. The food was fantastic, and Jerry was an excellent teacher, and excellent company. The class was an informal arrangement, I showed up the night before...

with so many recomandatins we expected very much from this hotel, and the bigger the expectation was, the bigger was the disappointment. location is not bad, but tha is the only positive thing we can say, front desk staff proved to be not trustworthy, promising to change US$ to Indian R, and when we came before checkout to make the...

After almost four weeks in southern India, we finally came to Tissa's which had to rate easily as our best hotel, including several in the Taj group. Small, intimate, exceptionally friendly and efficient staff. Decorated throughout with tasteful artifacts. Room was nice size, not a single mosquito, and quiet on the second floor. Hot water can be iffy, but only...

Came in for the Biennale for a weekend and we chose Tissa's inn given the location and the previous reviews. While the rooms are comfortable and well kept, the staff isn't as welcoming as we expected. Just not worth the price we paid. One of the biggest downfalls is that they don't offer room service - even for a plate...

When a medical emergency arose amongst our family Group - nothing to do at all with India - all the staff, manager and owner too went out of their way way to look after not only...

Stayed here for 4 nights and really enjoyed the ambience and hospitality of the hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful, even down to the chef who let us into the kitchen to see him prepare our evening meal. The hotel has lots of lovely antiques and is well looked after. The roof top pool is very welcoming...

This is a lovely hotel. Rooms are clean, well kept and spacious with comfortable beds. The hotel itself is well placed in the older part of the city and close to many places of interest. The staff were very attentive and happy to help in whatever way they could. The only negatives were lack of any view, inconsistent warm water...
