Casa Mia is a splendidly located homestay in Fort Kochi. Walking distance to most interesting attractions, plenty of Tuk-Tuks for further sightseeing tours. Usha, the landlady, and her family are totally lovely, generous and welcoming. I was invited to participate in some private events, which was a precious experience. However, every guest is free to decide how much space and time to share with others in the house. I spent a happy week in Casa Mia and will most certainly visit the house again.

Usha and her husband are very nice and accommodating during our stay here. Her home is extremely clean and the rooms are spacious. Our hot shower was not quite hot but it was OK considering the Indian heat you need to battle everyday. She has a very lovely living hall on the 1st floor where you read/chat or go online (wifi signal is strong).

She makes excellent coconut chutney, we had that for breakfast with idli and sambar. Delicious!

We needed to get train tickets to Goa, but all tickets were fully booked due to last minute and also peak season. Usha connected us to her friend who runs a travel desk and we managed to get standby tickets. Great!

Casa Mia is about 10-15 minutes walk to the main tourist area where all the churches, restaurants are. If you're lucky, you'll be able to catch Usha's 11 year old son practice singing classical music in the evening. The boy is very talented, we enjoyed listening to his singing even from our rooms upstairs.

We arrived at casa Mia late evening after traveling by bus for12 hours we arrived late at night we had phoned another homestay and they were full so we asked if they could recommend anywhere else and they gave us casa Mia telephone no we rang and initially booked 1 night usha met us and we recieved the warmest of greetings she made us a coffee and showed us to our room we had had a bad experience at the other homestay we had come from so we were very pleased with the standard of the accommodation it was excellent spotlessly clean and had lots of cupboard space the bathroom was quite large and again spotless with plenty of hot water and all this for a bargain price of 1000 rupees a night including breakfast a real bargain we were so impressed we decided to stay 5 nights we loved the homely feel Anthony Thomson and Samuel and not forgetting grandma were the loveliest family made us feel like part of the family not just guests we even got invited to usha birthday party which was so nice to be invited to a family event. Loved the Indian breakfast every morning so delicious usha is an excellent cook & host we actually recommended this homestay to a lady we met whilst out on a trip she came and had a look and the day after she came and stayed again she was shocked at the price and what you got for you're money it really was exceptional to find something of this quality for this price is very rare we are travelling for 5 months so we had budgeted 1000 a night and it's hard finding quality accommodation for this price range some people are charging double for the same thing I do realise we were travelling off peak but they only charge 1500 in peak season and that includes Xmas that's for a non ac room 2000 ac this is an incredible offer again this includes breakfast we loved staying here and will be very sad to leave to continue our travels so thank you usha Anthony Samuel Thomson & grandma for welcoming us into you're beautiful home and giving us such wonderful memories to take home with us nearly forgot to mention was very helpful organising our onward travel booking train tickets for us thanks once again for everything you have you have left footprints in our hearts forever

Never stay in this place. The owner Usha Antony robs you off. Rooms are totally uncomfortable and too many mosquitoes. The bedspreads are very dirty. The house always stinks of fish curry. She has too many kids who donot let the guest have their privacy. She tells a rate when you check-in. But when you settle the account she goes back on her word and charges for some silly things.... Avoid this dungen... Sucks... Usha robs your pocket.. Avoid this place.

This was my second time in Casa Mia. Came back because the first time was excellent. This time we arrived almost at midnight and received the same warm welcome from Usha and young Thomson, her son. As usual the rooms were spotless and comfortable and the Kerala-style omelette for breakfast was delicious. The free wifi was a bonus. Usha and Anthony were as warm and friendly as before. Her ginger tea is a treat. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. Well done Usha, Anthony, Samuel and Thomson for creating such a special atmosphere.

I had the most memorable and fantastic stay with Usha and her brilliant family. They were instantly welcoming and kind; they wanted to know all about me and shared their stories as well as songs (from the talented Thompson) and gorgeous food (Sammy even cooked me a pasta dish - delicious!). They also gave me lots of tips and advice about places to visit and quickly arranged a trusted rickshaw driver to take me on a tour of the glorious Fort Cochin. Usha's husband got up extremely early on my last morning and took me to the airport, which was a godsend. The rooms I stayed in were incredibly clean, spacious and comfortable with great facilities including a/c (I stayed on two separate occasions) and I never once felt out of place - constantly invited to sit with the family. I actually felt cherished by these amazing people. They were also respectful and heeded my needs to rest after long journeys; mindful of my space. Fort Cochin itself is a fantastic place with some fascinating museums and temples; well worth the effort and a great introduction to the enchanting state of Kerala; one of my favourite-ever places! Thanks Usha and family, I can't wait to see you next year! I SHALL RETURN!!!

Having spent 6 weeks in Kerala in December and traveling around, we found this homestay in Fort Kochi to be the best. Such high standards is offered by Usha and Anthony. The rooms are so clean, beds are comfortable clean towels and all for a reasonable price. I will definitely stay there again without a doubt.

It is really great homestay! The family is wonderful! The room was clean and the food was delicious. The best was one morning when I was slowly waking up and hearing from the distance wonderful singing voice - their youngest son had music lessons. He really had amazing touchy voice ...

We stayed here for 2 nights with Usha Antony and her 2 sons. During our stay nothing was too much trouble. We had a lovely spacious air conditioned first floor room with a separate shower room and toilet. Breakfast was lovely, with all you need.
Whilst there my partner was unwell, so Usha immediately spoke to her doctor friend and then purchased medicine to solve the problem.
We certainly recommend this home stay and will stay here again when we return to Kerala.

Booked here for 3 nights. Lovely home immacuately kept close to all attractions. What makes CasaMia so special is the service- personal, generous, caring and willing to help where ever they can Usha and Antony and children Samual and Thompson make this home stay exceptional! They even helped us to arrange train tickets from Australia, a formiddable task. Thankyou again for your hospitality and for the music jams! Cant recommend enough.
