Nice quiet place with 4 big spotless and comfortable rooms. This is built in Kerala style with large rooms ,big veranda and clean surroundings. Close to everything but away from the noise and bustle of the town and beach. We had kerala breakfast sent to us by the owner's wife. Mr Ajit and his staff Mujeeb were of great help.

Only problem with this place is the wifi - it's terrible. Otherwise, this is the perfect place to stay in Fort Cochin. It's close enough to everything but away from the noise and bustle of the beach. While we hardly saw the owner, the other staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and comfortable.

Relaxed and quiet boutique accomodation with friendly staff and good coffee. In a quiet location away from the hussle of the tourist precinct but within an easy 5 minute walk (rickshaws always on hand). The room was very clean and comfortable and the airconditioner was a god-send. Thank you Ajit & staff for a wonderful say.

We stayed here for 3 nights and found the room to be very spacious and comfortable. We had the front room. One thing to point out. There is no TV. It didn't worry us, but might be important to some people
The young man looking after the place is friendly and helpful. I booked a full day backwater tour through him and it went well and was good value.
The location is in a side street near the Bishops House, about a 5 minute walk from the main tourist drag in Fort Kochi, but this adds to the relaxation.
As pointed out by another reviewer, they need to do something with the wifi, it only works near their office and you then have to battle the mosquitoes while you are using it.
In summary, a good alternative in Fort Kochi, if you want a relaxing stay.

The building is charming and I have stayed here 4 times over the past four years. The last time was really disappointing. There was no hot water in the first room. The fan only had ran on one very fast speed. The shower curtains were dirty (black specs of mould all over the bottom half) and the health faucet was broken and leaking, the tap was rusty.
The Bathroom doors do not close properly or lock and the cupboards don't lock. The decor of the place has not changed from the first time I visited. The table cloths and place mats on the breakfast table, shower curtains, curtains and cushion covers have not been changed even once in four years. We did get clean sheets and towels though.

* You can only pay in cash and the bill we got was hand-written.

Clearly, the owner has no interest in maintaining the property. The caretaker is a nice young man but will not be able to do much to address these issues.

When we complained, the owner was rude and said we should have checked the room first. We checked in and were out the whole day. We went back to the room only after dinner and came across the problems when we went to wash up. Out of courtesy, I called him the next morning.
We were the only guests there at the time.

Needless to say, I do not recommend this place and will not stay there again.

This is a relatively new build guest house in a traditional style. There are four spacious rooms with air conditioning and a fan. Large bathrooms. Two young men were looking after the place and were extremely helpful. They organised a backwater tour and cultural show for us. Breakfast is served on the terrace - omelets, toast, fruit and tea/coffee. The house is next to the Bishop's House and about 10 minutes stroll to 'downtown'.

We found Cochin Heritage by chance as we were strolling around the village looking for a nice place to stay. The building is a typical Keralan house with lovely woodwork that has been nicely restored. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with air con and mosquito nets in all windows and nice wooden furniture. The are is nice and quiet, just a stroll away from the main streets but away from the hustle and buzzle of the most touristy areas.
Breakfast is good, we stayed for four nights and got to taste different things each morning, including a typical keralan breakfast on our last day.
The staff are really nice , Albin and his brother made our stay a pleasure, they are caring and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Fort Cochin. Excellent value for money.

We had arranged to stay in Delight but when we arrived the owner was not aware of our booking - even though I had emailed 4 times confirming dates and times of arrival. He had even arranged for airport pick up! The owner of Sajhome had called his cousin who was the owner of the Heritage, and arranged a room for us here.

The Heritatage was very nice, in a good quiet location. Unfortunately there were no mosquito nets, which in Kerela is really essential. Otherwise, the room was very nice, clean and the staff were very helpful. AC in all rooms.

We went to the Hotel Abad Plaza during the day to use the pool. The hotel looked very nice, but expensive - not sure if it is worth the prices. The pool was lovely, and a nice place to hang out during the day. The restaurant in the hotel was very good, good value also.

If you're going to go out for a meal, go to the restaurant in Fort House. It's a great location, great view and food was excellent. There was a lovely atmosphere in the place also.

My travelling companion and I spent five nights here, and really enjoyed our stay. We appreciated the high, beamed ceilings, the beautiful wooden doors, and the charm of the porch just outside the rooms where breakfast is served. The building and plantings are lovely, everything is clean and well maintained, the beds are comfortable with nice pillows, and the large bathroom made it an ideal space to share. I would definitely say that it is one of the most tastefully decorated places I have stayed in India, with a real sense of local authenticity. The young staff are eager to please, and go out of their way to be helpful. There are only four guest rooms, and the house is located on a quiet street, so you really feel like you are in your own delightful home. I hated to leave!
